Psalm 138:1-3, 8 - I Will Sing Your Praise

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Honestly, I don't know how Moses did it at 80. Starting over from being a shepherd of sheep to being a shepherd of people. And all the adjustments to living in a new land and the nuances of all the people. It had to be the Lord directing and guiding and leading every step of the way and to add to that he was having family issues too. There I got that off of my mind so onto why we are here this morning. Our walking out our faith in the Psalms. Today's reading is Psalm 138:1-3, 8, "I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; before the "gods" I will sing your praise. I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. When I call, you answered me; and made me bold and stouthearted. And verse 8, "The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever, do not abandon the works of your hands." Yes, each and every day whether the steps are steep or flat, may they be steps of Faith that leads me on this journey of giving Praise to the Lord. Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ each day is filled with His tender mercies and His love and faithfulness. He will fulfill his purpose, for it is a promise which He will keep. He will not abandon the works of His hands. Let us pray - Abba Father All Praise and Glory and Honor we lift our holy hands to You for You sustain us and keep us and lead us. Thank You O, LORD for your love and your faithfulness towards us. May we lift our hearts and eyes to the one who has brought us thus far and will lead us home. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings and mercies to the King,

Psalm 119:33-35 - Teach, Give, and Direct Me

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, There isn't a day that goes by where I need to be taught or to give or be directed in some way. Thank goodness I have GPS on my phone for showing me the way to a new doctor's office or some other place in a different city. I have come to depend on it as a life line. In fact a couple days ago we wanted to visit this popula Amish nursery so off we went with phone maps and arrived to our destination on time too. With the reliance on the phone I tend to reach for that before anything else and thank goodness for technology and the ability to be able to use it. Once again I turned to the Psalms and in Psalm 119:33-35 I found my way to navigate through my life. Let us pray - Abba Father we come before your throne of grace this morning and pray, "Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; and I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight." Praise to thee O LORD for Your goodness and mercy and grace for today. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she trust and hope and find Joy in Your presence today. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings,

Privacy Report Psalm 119:130

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, This morning as I turned on my computer to start my Wednesday morning posting the start page gave me my privacy report. It stated that during the last 7 days it had prevented 72 persons from profiling me. I'm thankful for that privacy report! And decided that Psalm 119:130 would be a worthy verse to quote, "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple." Yes, I am one of those simple ones whether using my computer to do my work and socializing or whether I am content with walking in the park and meeting new friends. I am actually looking at one of Thomas Kinkade paintings that has this verse along with his painting of "The Victorian Garden". I bought his book, "Passages of Light" on September 24, 2001 and written on the page, given by the Holy Spirit. As I write this post the outside weather is damp, cloudy and a dense fog has settled on the valley. And also the painting shows an entrance to this lush garden accessed by cobblestoned walkway. As you enter in there is a light fog also. And thinking about the exodus from Egypt how God covered them with a cloud by day and fire by night. Yes we have a mighty God who continuously keeps and provides and protects. So, when your days become foggy and you think that life is difficult and you do not know who to trust, remember we are simple people. Yes, we are for our ways are not His and our thoughts are not His BUT... we have an entrance and that entrance is "of Your words give light" and then comes "understanding". Let us pray - Abba Father Praise You for our lives are simple and yet we desire privacy and You give that every moment of our lives. Thank You that it is Your words that are our entrance, no need for secret code or password protection just calling out the name Jesus is all we need. Lord, I pray for these simple sisters-in-Christ and ask that Your word would come alive in her heart today. That Word to comfort or encourage or protect or shield or strengthen. In Jesus Name, Amen, Being simple today,

Psalm 19:14 - My Strength and My Redeemer

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Yesterday was a skin doctor appointment and a shopping trip to Costco. The dermotologist office is about 47 miles away and Costco is a little further than that but it was the inbetween stop, the unplanned stop that was a delight to the senses. My morning started off with a quick walk around the local park, which is always a pleasure. The sound of the songbirds and the squirrels (local wildlife) frolicking along the trail and in the trees brings my mind to a beautiful peace. On my walks I do some talking with the Lord and call a friend and take the time to get my chatting in. So the unexpected stop - it was a flower nursery of the likes I have never seen. The moment we walked into the shop was like walking into a rainforest, so refreshing and the array of scents and colors and endless possibilities of growing them. And added into the mixture was all you needed from pots to windchimes, from garden tools to fairy and troll decorations. We had a very good excuse to linger for some time because it decided to rain and the sounds of the rain hitting the roof just added to the atmosphere of being in a tropical forest. I chose Psalm 19:14, "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." because with the drive on the freeway and the trip to Costco can be very tiring and troublesome. All the traffic on the multilane lanes and all the people trying to get to their products to complete their shopping list can cause strife within our souls. I am so glad that the LORD had us stop at the nursury for it prepared me to be able to finish my shopping with a smile on my face. Let us pray - Abba Father, Gracious and Glorious LORD as we enter another day of life may we start and end in praising You for EVERYTHING. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her prayer for each day would be acceptable in Thy sight for You are indeed her strength and her redeemer. May she seek Your face and as she speaks and as she meditates these would be acceptable in Thy sight. In Jesus Name, Amen. Kneeling before Him,

Psalm 126:3 - We Are Glad

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Happy May/Lei Day! I say Lei because while living in Hawaii this was the day that leis of all scents, designs, shapes, and colors were given to loved ones. It seemed to be more beautiful for some reason. I looked up the tradition al May Day and remembered about the pole with the ribbons too. But we have another reason to celebrate and that is found in today's Psalm 126:3, "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." Yes, He has done great things and is doing great things and will continue to do great things in abundance and with LOVE. So whether you celebrate or not this May Day, it is still a special day to celebrate. The LORD has done great things and in the counting of these great things and remembering His blessings and gifts and ALL His marvelous works may these ignite a JOY (glad) within your heart. I know that some of you are dealing with situations where it is hard to see past the hurts and the pain BUT GOD He will turn your ashes to Joy and complete the verse, "whereof we are glad." It is a "JOY" that only the LORD does. Only He can bring about a peace and hope and love that surrounds "you" and you alone. He knows you so deeply and intimately so celebrate today and dance around and sing His praises for He has done great things for you and me. Let us pray - Heavenly Father, our Great and Glorious LORD who is Sovereign and not only gives but has done. Oh Lord thank You for the done things in our lives. The done things that are great in our lives. The done things that give us pleasure and delight and cause us to celebrate every day of our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen. Happy "we are glad" day,
