Psalm 111 - Great Are The LORD's Works
Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,
our theme for the month is "learning to lean in", and with that thought what better way to "lean in" to find out just how great is our God by reading and listening to what the Lord says about His works. And what better way than to recite, Psalm 111 - Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty in His work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused His wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers his covenant forever. He has shown His people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of His hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever. Holy and awesome is His name! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!" Yes, His works, which we will be learning each and every day and forever and ever. His works He has caused to be remembered, that alone should be a very good reason for us to be thankful. How easily we forget in times of trouble and also in times of goodness that it is the LORD works. Let us pray - Abba Father, yes we Praise Your holy and righteous name. O Lord, I pray that as each word is read and maybe spoken out loud that there will be a stirring in each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that You have caused this stirring for for our remembering that Your works, Your promises, You alone are God and all of Your works are full of splendor and majesty. We are so thankful LORD. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Learning to Lean In,
LyndiaSue
