A Surprise Awaits

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, The notice had been on the refrigerator for weeks and each time that I looked at it I got nervous. In order to see our doctors for the medical issues and to get our truck serviced we had to drive to the big city that was 126+ miles away. And I did not want to make the drive! Since the appointments had been made so early in the morning we needed to leave the house by 6:00 am. Setting my alarm for 5:00 am but still got up at 4:30 to prepare for the day ahead of us. Little did I know that the Lord had a big surprise for me. I have to admit that I was not a very happy camper about it and had not been for several days before, but I'm sure you knew that already. We started down the road and the predawn sky began to have that bluish grey color and in the fields you could see the deer and the antelope feeding and starting their day too. Watching the horizon I noticed the change and then the realization that something was going to happen clicked into my brain. Rounding a corner and looking at the mountain top there it was - that first glimmer of sun rays stretching out, the first tip of the sun appearing and then it was like the truck stopped moving and watched also as the sun came up. I was giddy with Joy, having not seen a sunrise in over six years! Then a small voice said, "this is the surprise I had in store for you today." I humbly asked the Lord to forgive my whining and grumbling and thanked Him for the beautiful and wonderful sunrise He had prepared for me. In fact, I spread the news to the nurses and doctor and the man who shuttled us from the car dealership to the medical clinic. God is so Good! God is so faithful and His tender mercies are new every morning and He blesses us with so much that our finite minds just do not know. Let us pray - Abba Father, how Great is Your Goodness, so far reaching and so deep in giving and so wide in spreading. Lord thank You for surprises and thank You that Your surprises are so beautiful and wonderful and just what is needed even when we do not realize it. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her days be filled to the brim with the "Goodness" of You. Your Presence hovering over them watching them for they are the apple of your eye and Your Love for them is jealous. May they embrace this day and see that even in the midst of the difficulty and/or crisis that what you have in Your heart is to give them ALL good things. In Jesus Name, Amen. Anticipating a surprise,
LyndiaSue
