Writing Prompts
Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,
For those of you who dabble in writing and even those whose professions are authors, there are times where the words are not there. No matter how long you sit or how many times you start, but cannot continue, the words are just not there. As a Christmas present from my daughter a couple of years back, she gave me "story cubes", a little box of cubes containing dice that have letters on all sides. The cover of the box also states, "let your imagination roll wild!" This is an introduction to today's verse, "Daniel 1:1, In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it." Wow, what an opening sentence! No matter how many times I read the written "word" I never tire for His "word", which also compels me to want to know more and more. My writing prompts of late have been words written on paper offering prayers and praise to the Lord. If I get stuck all I need to do is read a verse or maybe more and the Lord provides the rest of the story. It is a daily practice for writing is my way of communicating with the Father. I love the Lord's "writing prompts" for they bring to my life a sweetness like nothing else can or will. Abba Father, all praise and glory to You. Lord thank You for Your "Word" of life which feeds my soul and keeps me focused on that which is of greatest importance. Lord thank You that You give us not only life here on earth but eternal life with You. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would seek to know You more and more and when she is at a time in her life that no matter how long she sits or how many times she starts, but cannot continue that You would give her or direct her to Your "Word" the purest "writing prompt" ever. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Waiting with Pen in Hand,
LyndiaSue
