Ezra 1:1-2 - Stirring Up

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The last day of April and even though it seems the days are going by very fast yet is seems that each day is so very long. Let me talk story - when we arrived on the Big Island (Hawaii), I made a purchase of a bracelet that is worn by the locals. I wanted a reminder of this time being here for at the time I was not sure just how long the stay would be. When I purchased the bracelet I had engraved on the inside the verse Isaiah 64:4, "For since the beginning of the world men have not heart, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him." I have written in my bible (word from God) dated March 24, 2001. Yes, I have been waiting on the Lord all this time. The wait has been so amazing. In the waiting I have come to love my husband more, my children more, and my grandchildren more. In the waiting I have come to the throne of Grace and have asked more, sought more and knocked more. Yes, in the waiting I have come...

Today's verse, Ezra 1:1-2, "...the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation..." and verse 2, "thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth;..."

Yes it is the Lord that stirs up our spirit's - whether young or old, whether rich or poor, whether man or woman, whether a believer or an atheist, yes he stirs up our spirit.

Abba Father, Praise thee that there is nothing that will separate us from your love and thank you that there is nothing impossible with thee. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would be so BLESSED by thee today that she would be still and know that You are a God who stirs up and in the stirring up Your promises will be fulfilled in the most amazing of ways. Lord may each of us allow the Spirit of the Living God fall fresh upon us this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Thirst for His Word

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I hope that all is well with all of you - I know that it has only been a week but with Sunday being a celebration day for all of us the time seemed longer to me. I was reading in John this morning and chapter 7 verses 37 & 38 caught my eye, so I lingered a little while longer, hopefully you will also.

For it is written, "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."

Oh Lord may it be so, may many come unto thee and drink.

Abba Father I pray for a thirst for Your Word, Your Truth, Your Way, Your Will to come upon each dear and precious sister-in-Christ and that she would come to the fountain of living waters and be refreshed with the beauty of the Lord and walk away having been anointed with the sweet smelling fragrance of Jesus. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Conversations

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This being Wednesday it is my half day at work and the afternoon spent with doing things that I enjoy doing. Now don't get me wrong, my place of employment is great! I have two bosses who are very understanding and supportive and also 6 co-workers who lend an understanding ear. Now back to my afternoon's - specifically today's - my first appointment is with my eye doctor, these eyes have been very dry lately and I am experiencing for the very first time - ocular migraines (not fun). He is going to examine these dry and tired eyes.

I am on my own until 3:30 when I visit the dentist for my 6 month (long overdue) checkup and cleaning. I like my dentist office too!! The dental team are superb at making sure that the visit is a wonderful and relaxing visit and they are successful at it. The receptionist to the dentist himself treat you so special.

So what does all this have to do with conversations you might ask? When I enter these offices the conversations are always flavored with joy. When I am greeted with a smile and a welcoming "hello" it makes the visit and the conversation so much sweeter. This is my prayer for this Wednesday the third day of the Holy Week,

Abba Father, Praise to the one who created, You Spoke at it came into existence. Lord God I pray that in our conversations today we would allow the Holy Spirit to speak the words that bring Joy and Hope and Peace to others who are without those things. Lord I pray for blessings upon each and every dear and precious sister-in-Christ, may she hear Your Voice and enter into a time of fruitfulness in her life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 132:9 My New Robe

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

A couple of weeks ago a dear friend regifted me some clothes. One of the pieces I selected was a Japanese robe, purple bold flowery print on a background of white, this one I really liked. The first time that I put it on I felt like a queen. It felt as if I was being wrapped in love. I am wearing it this morning as I post this prayer.

Psalm 132:9, "Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy."

Abba Father, Praise thee and thank thee for Your Sovereign Grace. Oh LORD my prayer for these dear and precious sisters-in-Christ may they be clothed in Your righteousness and be wrapped in Your Love and "now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24-25).

Psalm 9:1-2

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

After yesterday's earthquake in Chile, our Island named Hawaii, was once again under a Tsunami watch. Although I did have concerns for the Chilean people who were suffering from the devastating earthquake, that paled to what was possibly going to be occurring in my area. I began to think on how to pray in this situation. Prayer - who can define it? Who can explain the power of it? It has Power to tell the mountains to be removed, it has Power to change the most hardened of hearts. It has Power, wonder working Power. Let us come together today and pray for each other and to begin let us speak boldly - for it is written, "I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High." In Jesus Name, Amen.

Dear and Precious sisters-in-Christ let us pray for one another. The Lord is teaching me once again the Power of Prayer and more importantly that we all need to have praying partners because the days are growing shorter and we need to hold each other up in prayer. Won't you join me this day?
