Being Me Before HIM

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, We are experiencing an artic COLD and along with that comes the haze, and the dictionary states, a tenuous cloud of something such as vapor or smoke in the air. Yes that is what we are experiencing and looking outside most definitely there is that, haze! But the good news is that it is a tenuous (very weak or slight) cloud. Do you have days where your world seems to be a little hazy? Have you heard the phrase, "he/she has their head in the clouds?" I have days like that when I come before the Lord and it is like the verse, "For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known." (1 Cor. 13:12). Yes, I desire to know Him more and more and when it seems I am asking and seeking and knocking that there is a haze surrounding Him. So as I quietly wait before Him there is a stillness in my heart and my mind that only He knows how to see through the haze for it is when I am "me", my sin filled life, my weaknesses, my frailty, and my hidden spots which only He knows fully for I was created by Him and for Him that He whispers into my heart, "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." (Rom. 5:10) O Lord, gracious and mighty, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today and may she come before You and "being me before Him" worship and praise the One who has freely removed the haze from their minds so that they are completely and utterly known by You and deeply and intimately LOVED by You. In Jesus Name, Amen. Being me before HIM,

Being Rooted

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, A few weeks ago I saved a branch off of one of my plants by putting it in a small vase with water and setting it on my kitchen table as a table decoration. Each morning as I sat at the table having breakfast I would look at the plant. It didn't take long before small roots started to show on the stem and after a while a new leaf sprouted. This morning I thought about how I would get excited that a new leaf sprouted but more so how I would look at the roots growing. Started out small little tentacles that have grown into larger ones and attached to those are more and more littler roots. It got me thinking - we are being rooted in the Lord every day. Yes, how can we not for He is the master gardener and where He has rooted us He has placed us where we will grow and take root and flourish. It starts out as a little tenticel and is thickened to produce more and more. He waters and nourishes us - it is a mystery indeed. Yes, I do realize that this body with all of its parts is more intricate than a broken branch of a plant but still - He is the Vine and the Vinedresser. He alone knows what is needed for us to be rooted in Him. And He has promised that He will be with us forever and ever. Let us pray - Abba Father You alone know just how delicate and intricate we are for You knitted us in our mother's womb. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as she wakes up each day You would reveal to her how richly and deeply she is "being rooted" in You her Redeemer, her Savior, her Creator, her Lord. May she grow new leafs in her life and know that her days are in Your hands and that as she prays for the impossible You hear her and the brokeness will begin to grow. In Jesus Name, Amen. Being Rooted in HIM,

Two Symbols - # and @

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Social media has its own language! The two most important symbols are the hashtag (#) and the at (@). The hashtag draws attention to the subject at hand and the @ directs you to the place where you can either research something or initiate a conversation. And then there is a way of expressing yourself by emojs. These thoughts ran through my head last night and then again this morning. This being Wednesday morning I was wondering if indeed the Lord is hastaging me and directing me to go to the @ where He will show me the most important symbol of ALL. The one that draws attention to your needs and wants and desires, the heart of the matter and if He is directing me to the source that satisfies all my thoughts and conversations and so much more. This symbol is misunderstood and misused and yet it still prevails through every crisis and difficulty. The cross is more than a symbol and yet we often treat it as such. The Cross, a symbol that draws attention to the hope and joy and peace that so many people are searching for, the Cross, a symbol that directs you to the place where ALL else is sinking sand other than knowing Jesus Christ, who died on that Cross with your name written in the palms of his nail pierced hands. Let us pray - Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to You as we lift up our hands and hearts to You. LORD of salvation, LORD of Creation, and LORD of ALL we come before You and look to the Cross and are thankful for Your faithfulness and patience and goodness and kindness since the beginning of Creation and into eternity where we will no longer need symbols but will worship the One who sits on the throne. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she be enthralled by You. In Jesus Name, Amen. Captured by Him,

The Word is Love - John 3:16

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, It is February and typically this month is about LOVE so naturally let us talk about love! Let us start off the month with the word love! A four letter word which has very impacting results when said out loud to a special person. And even when, in a conversation you say that you love this or that it can cause a discussion or even debate whether this or that should be loved. Yes, the word LOVE is an impactful word - it can be received with thankfulness or rejected for various reasons that may or may not be true. But the truth of the word love is "God is Love!" (1 John 4:7-21) Yes, with this truth you can trust and believe that when the word "love" is said it means so much more than you can ever imagine or ask or dream. You are "loved" deeply and intimately and fully and immensely and beautifully and perfectly by the Creator of ALL things and even more than that - it was for "love" that Jesus died on the cross. And for all eternity you will be loved! Let us pray - Abba Father, praise and glory and honor to thee. Lord, thank you that Your love for us is unfathomable. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be blanketed with Your LOVE. A love that is felt - as You place the blanket of Your love on her may the weight of it strengthen her, the warmth of it encourage her and as she nestles herself in Your blanket of love that she would Rest in Your Love today. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blanketed by His Love,
