On the Road

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

We are traveling to the big city, which is 126 miles away for medical stuff. With an overnight stay there are always things that you have to take along. It is almost like being on the road, whether one night stay or multiple.

As I pack for our overnight stay I realize there are lots of things that I do during the day, which I have on hand and now have to pack. Simple little things like dental floss and toothpaste and vitamins and of course my tea bags.

Yep those simple little things -- my prayer for today.

Abba Father, Praise You and we Glorify you for the simple little things that You gift us with everyday. Those simple little things that comfort us and give us hope and bring Joy into our lives. Simple little things, like a mustard seed. Faith, Love, Hope and Joy. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today her life will be abundantly and overflowingly overspill into her heart and mind and soul. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

Whatever You Are Doing-Keep Doing

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I had my annual medical check-up a couple of weeks ago and discovered that the blood tests hadn't been done for at least two years, so said tests were ordered. I have been feeling very well, (thank You Lord) but still they are one of the requirements. The doctors office called to say that my results were GREAT and for my vitamin D level - whatever I'm doing- keep doing.

Yes, that was good news - whatever I'm doing keep doing. Do you sometimes feel that what you are doing is the right thing?

Walking with the Lord is so amazing and yet I find myself wondering if what I am doing is the right thing.

Getting the news from the doctor's office was a subtle reminder to me that my walk with the Lord is so unique and personal and intimate that He alone gives me what I need and desire and even when I don't even realize it He still gives and loves and directs and guides me.

I pray that your walk with the Lord is so very special today and everyday that He whispers in your heart that whatever you are doing-keep doing.

Abba Father, how awesome in Love and Power and Majesty, Thank you Lord that You direct and guide and anoint and bless and plan and purpose our lives so beautifully and lovely that we lift our hands in Praise to thee. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that Your Beauty would be Limitless, Your Love would be Abounding, Your Goodness would be overwhelming in their lives. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Blessings,

From and To

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Where are you from? Where are you going to? From where to where?

Road trips - these are the kinds of questions that I hear or even ask when traveling and meeting new people or even checking into the hotel.

And when using the google maps app or WAZE you have to input from and to in order to reach your destination. Ah, I love GPS, saves me so much worry, trying to figure out my right from my left, just follow the arrow.

How many times have I come to a stop sign or the end of the road with both arrows pointed in opposite directions. I stare at the sign!!

For all who are at the bend in the road or at a crossroads or even stopped hopefully these verses will bring encouragement while on this journey called life.

Prov. 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge Him And He will make your paths straight.

Prov. 3:26 For the Lord will be your confidence And will keep your foot from being caught.

1 Thess. 5:9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thess. 2:16-17 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, comfort and strenghten your hearts in every good work and word.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee our Sovereign Lord. Thank you today that we can come boldly before thee and ask in the Name of Jesus that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ will be confident that no matter the "from and to" she is fully equipped for her journey with you. May she boldly walk through her day knowing that You are her Lord and Savior and King of kings and Lord of lords and she not fear the "from and to" in her life. Lord keep and protect and uphold and secure and guide and direct each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Blessings my dear friends,

Just Breathe and Drinking Water

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Saturday and again on Monday my afternoon and morning respectively were spent in the Emerency Room with my brother. He was in severe pain caused by kidney stones yet to be passed. He was given hardcore pain medication both times and followed with instruction to drink lots of water.

For him to tolerate the pain I was helping him by telling him to take in a few deep breaths with mouth closed and expel through the mouth. It really helped him and he didn't seem to mind my nagging, "just breathe".

The doctor said that he was going to have to bear with the pain because the stone only had a little further to go and to drink lots of water. These were the instructions on Saturday upon discharge. Well on Monday morning early he called me because he was still in pain. We arrived and doctor asked if he had been drinking water. He said, "I have a water bottle in every room of the house". Then doctor asked if they were empty, to which he stated, feeling very happy from the drugs, "Oh, are they supposed to be empty?" We got quite a laugh. He told me that a little bit was out of each bottle.

The doctor and nurse highly stressed that in order for him to pass the stone he needed to drink the water!

This got me to thinking -- about just breathing - how many times when I am in a situation do I panic when really all I need to do is just breathe deeply and know that it is in the Lords hands.

about drinking water -- the Lord is the Living Water -- when we drink from the Living Water we no longer are thirsty and it gives us strength to endure the pain and helps us to pass the stone or whatever is causing the pain.

I love when the Lord opens my eyes to His goodness and mercy and grace wherever I am. My prayer for today --

Abba Father, thank You that You are our Living Water and the very breath that we take. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ, that her day and days ahead would be filled with wonder and awe in knowing that as she "just breathes" and "drinks of the Living Water", You are with her. You alone satisfy, fill-up, revive, renew, soothe, calm, and surround her every desire and need and want. Praise to You oh Lord, I ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Blessings,

Isaiah 64:4 and 1 Corinthians 2:9

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

It is becoming quite evident that the older I get these two verses seem to linger in my mind more and more.

Isaiah 64:4, "For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You.
Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him."

1 Corinthians 2:9, "but just as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him."

Two powerful verses resonate with me - probably because the older I get the more my eyes see and my ears hear and yet---

There is even more for those who Love Him and Wait for Him!!!

Oh, most dear and precious sisters-in-Christ isn't it so beautiful that all that we have seen and heard thus far pales in comparison to our God who will act in our behalf and has prepared for us and all we need do is LOVE Him and WAIT for Him.

Abba Father, we come before Your throne of Grace, we bow in Your Holy Presence and lift up our hands and voices offering praises and thankfulness. Oh Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today her love for You will be increased and her willingness to Wait just a little bit longer. Lord I pray that her eyes would be focused upon Jesus and her ears will be attuned to Your Whispers. Lord may the Beauty and Gentleness and Faithfulness of our God be evident in their lives as they continually worship the King of kings and the Lord of lords. I pray in the Precious Name of Jesus, the name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,
