Romans 15:13 Another Gem Added to My Eternal Treasure Box

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This verse is actually one that was given on Monday during my quiet time and I knew that it needed to be shared with all of you in today's posting.

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all Joy and Peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Yes we have been given another helper, Jesus said so, that when He departed another helper would come!! The Holy Spirit!!

From whence comes our hope, from God, and He alone fills - fills with what? Joy and Peace in believing!! And why? So that we WILL ABOUND in hope. And how? by the Power of the Holy Spirit!!

Simply marvelous, simply divine and simply amazing.

Abba Father, thank You and Praise You for Your Sovereign and Eternal Words of Truth. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ, "Now may the God of hope fill you with ALL joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

Cloudy and Misty Days

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Yes, the last three days we have been experiencing cloudy and misty days. The first morning as I looked out my kitchen window, deciding whether or not to take my morning walk inside at out local civic center or outside, I opted for the indoors. I drove down to the civic center only to find that the doors were closed for maintenance work so decided to venture outdoors.

So glad that I did!! It was just cloudy and misting enough to be able to hear the sounds of nature. Yesterday and probably today I will be venturing out once again seeking the solitude which comes with cloudy and misty days.

I hope that your walk today with the Lord has its special moments of solitude. The kind of solitude that comes when its just you and Him. It can be while you are taking a walk, or driving in traffic, or sitting at your office, or even just reclining on your bed or couch.

Abba Father thank you for the cloudy and misty days which bring a silence to the air. And in that silence there is a solitude. A much needed solitude to heal our hurts and revive our spirits and renew our minds. The kind of solitude that only can be explained as Your Peace. Your Peace which passes all understanding. Your Peace which settles into our bodies and minds. Lord, may Your Peace smother each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today.
I ask in the precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

Psalm 27:13

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I know I am a little late this morning! The Lord had me on another mission, in fact, the last two mornings He has directed me to do some pruning. Yep, physical pruning. On Mother's Day my husband and I tackled the pruning of the Apple tree plus a few limbs off of the neighbors BIG tree which was encroaching onto our property, which also caused the Apple tree to grow sideways. So... to continue, we left the limbs and branches piled up in our side yard waiting for another day to be hauled away to the dump. Well... on Tuesday morning, looking out my bedroom window a clear voice said, "that's your task for this morning," I was only able to work on it for about an hour for I had a meeting to go to. Standing in front of the pile with trimming shears and scissors, where to begin?

And so it was this morning, I finished pruning and cutting the branches into managable sizes to haul away. And drug the other bigger branches into a pile so my husband can use the chainsaw to complete the task.

About midway into my task, I began to chuckle... for the birds were singing and the morning was just the right temperature and looking at the pile of branches and twigs and thoughts of how the Lord prunes us. Yes, does He do it in bite size pieces, does He separate into piles the little things in our lives, does He have to use pruning shears or maybe pruning scissors or maybe even a chainsaw. (You can see where my mind was going with this). So I stopped and began to giggle (chuckle) and started to praise the Lord. At that moment I grabbed a branch and part of the limb hit me in the face. Don't worry, no bruises or scraps. I continued praising Him for He had set aside our time together for the last two mornings and it has been very good to have the quiet time with Him. So you probably wonder what Psalm 27:13, "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.", I really don't know myself, I just know that I indeed believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Thank you for letting me share my last two mornings, I pray that yours have been delightful and refreshing.

Abba Father, How Gracious and Mighty art Thou, Oh how I love thee and thank thee for each time that we can spend time together. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that when she arises her heart is filled with the belief that she would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living and that she would feel Your Presence and thank You for Your Provision and rely upon Your Power and be filled with Your Peace. May she lift up her voice and hands and praying and praising thee. I ask all this in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Believing,

Dwell Upon, Focus On, and Meditate on JESUS

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

We have been having rather strange weather of late. Sunshine and 50 degrees one day and the next blizzard with 4 ft drifts and 20 degrees. It is rather challenging - a comment from a woman, "I think Mother Nature is off of her meds!" I laughed. Yes, oh that Mother Nature. But we have the truth written in Matthew 24. So... each day is a day closer to the coming (second)of the LORD. Knowing that may we embrace each day by rejoicing and being glad for it is a day that He has made. We as believers don't need to worry about the nature of things, right? All we need do is TRUST in Him!!!

Needless to say, that is easier said than done. Of course, I do get upset when one day I can wear my slippers and leggings and the next day I'm in closed toed boots and wearing flannel lined jeans, but I have them so I'm thankful for that.

Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, as I write this post this morning I'm thankful for each breath of my days. Taking long sighs as I walk around my house or outside (depending on the weather, of course) there is much to be in deep thought about so I turn to the Word of Truth once again, and beginning to read Psalm 139, I say, "All is Well with my Soul."

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee our Sovereign Lord, Thank you for my coming and going LORD. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would dwell upon and focus on and meditate on JESUS, who is the "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Rev 22:13, Isa 41:4). May her time with You be sweet and gentle and peaceful and as she sits at Your Feet may she be blessed richly during her time with You and come away being filled completely in order to stand firm in her faith. I ask in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

Happy May Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

May 1, May Day, honestly it wasn't until we have lived in Hawaii for a couple years that May Day became a celebration because of the Lei's that people gave and received. Some of them were very elaborate while others were simple yet so beautiful.

Flowers - over the years my favorite flower has changed mainly becasue of my location. Growing up in Montana - daddy had fushia's and roses and pansies. Living in California it was poppies and black eyes susans and roses. It was when we got to Hawaii that my favorite, well all of them I guess. Orchids, plumerias, hibiscus, bleeding hearts, gardenias and water lilies. Yes, flowers bring such delight to our senses. Their array of colors and shapes and fragrances. Yes, beauty in mass can sometimes overwhelm us - a meadow of wild flowers or even while driving in California and seeing the hillsides arrayed in such glorious colors.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee. Thank You for Your Beauty and coming before your throne of Grace and Mercy I pray: Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ may you be blessed richly today with the beauty of a flower. May your day be filled with color and shapes and fragrances that ignite a passion to know Him more and more and as you gaze at the flower ponder just on the wonder of our Creator and praise Him in all His Splendor and Glory.

Blessings,
