The Lord's Garden

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I purchased a book several years back - "Reflections of God's Glory" by Corrie ten Boom. The cover says that it is "newly discovered meditations by the author of "The Hiding Place"".

Chapter Two of this book is titled, "The Lord's Garden" and she states the following, "We have been planted according to a divine pattern, even if we do not always understand that pattern. Yes, our life is like a garden of the Lord, walled by grace, cultivated by love, and weeded by heavenly discipline".

She ends the chapter with a prayer and I would like to use part of that as my prayer today, "Lord Jesus, my life looks more like a wilderness than a garden. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that from now on I can receive power to be a faithful, cheerful witness who bears fruit."
Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would delight in Your Presence in her life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Your Testimony Spoken - Ezekiel

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Such amazing times we are living in - don't you feel it?
An anticipation of things to come!

In my nightly reading of the "Daily Light" the last scriptures were, "John 17:1, 20-21, Jesus prays, "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us."
How can we fathom this prayer of Jesus? Our testimony, our words, when spoken to another about Him and they believe - this was His prayer!

This morning as I began to search through the scriptures to pen this post I happened upon the book of Ezekiel and the notes I have written,
1) He looked and saw
2) He bowed and heard
3) He listened and tasted
4) He ate and the Spirit took him

You and I have come this far only by the Grace of God, He has planned and purposed our lives in such intricate ways. How can we not speak out His Truth?

My prayer for today -

Abba Father, our words spoken, our testimony, Lord may each precious and dear sister-in-Christ look and see, bow her head and hear, listen and taste your Word and when she has eaten may the Spirit take her. May Your presence so overwhelm her that she would rest in thee. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Making Sense of It All

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

As I pen this post I am still asking myself is there any sense in this? When things come at you from different directions, just like with Job, how does one wrap themselves around the situations and begin once again to rest in Him alone. It seems that each new day brings with it more and more to try and fathom the plan and purpose for the happening.

Opening my bible to the Psalms and reading Psalm 9:1-4, "I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. For you have upheld my right and my cause; you have sat on your throne, judging righteously."

Once again, as I read these passages I am embraced by HIM and HIM alone who draws me into a deeper place where my rest is found. My beginning sentences are the rantings of a doubtful heart. Let me not linger long in that place but rather welcome the loving response from the LORD.

My prayer for each one of you today -

Abba Father, Praise thee for thy Faithfulness. Lord as each precious little one encounters the struggles in their lives may they once again come into Your Presence and begin to learn of You. May they welcome You into their hearts and learn of You. May they be glad and rejoice in You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 111:1-3

Greetings dear and precious sister-in-Christ,

The passage for today: Psalm 111:1-3, "Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever."

Yes, time and time again, over and over again, step by step again, I continue to come back to Praising the LORD!!! Yes, I have placed three exclamation marks at the end for His Works are great and with every breath I do ponder at times. Sometimes they are deep, deep breaths. His deeds are glorious and majestic. My mind will never fathom the depth of how glorious and majestic they are. Living on an island and being able to see the ocean - how vast and how deep - is so hard for me to comprehend and this brings me back to the reality of my life lived with HIM. A life filled with HIM. How thankful that He is all I want and need and desire.

My prayer for all of you dear and precious sisters-in-Christ for this week - oh most Greacious and Sovereign LORD, may each one Praise thee and extol thee with all their hearts, may they delight in your works and may they ponder on them, may they comprehend the depths of Your glorious and majestic deeds. In Jesus Name, Amen.
