Psalm 115:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Just tell me what to do - Do you ever ask that of the Lord? Yes, I have to admit to saying that on several occasions. The trusting is the hardest for me and the second is waiting. My head knows it but my heart is still trying to understand. In seeking a Psalm scripture this morning I happened upon Psalm 115 "Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake." This spoke to me for when I am faced with a decision or a choice, if I try to hard to make it about me I will be so overwhelmed that I will cease and be afraid. But if it is for His Name and His Mercy and His Truth what do I need to fear.

Abba Father, oh most Glorious and Righteous LORD, thank You that You are our LORD, Praise thee that Your Presence is will us always. Lord I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ today that she would cling to thee in her moments being lived out today. May she TRUST fully in Thee and Wait. May she call upon Your Name and be not afraid. May you be Glorified in her life today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Psalm 23 Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Do you ever feel as if you are moving to fast? I do, there are some days and even some hours in a day where I catch myself just going through the motions and not stopping to actually think about how I should have ended the conversation or followed through or finished instead of laying it aside. I go from one thing to another.

At the beginning of this year the urgency to try to slow down seems to be an impossible task, and I find that I have to make the effort and take the time to slow down my time with the LORD. The amount of distractions that bombard my everyday life seem to be coming in at an astonishing rate.

My prayer for all of you dear and precious sisters-in-Christ: Psalm 23

Abba Father I pray for Your Presence, oh most Sovereign Lord how Glorious art thou, Lord thank You that You are Our Shepherd and that we shall not want, thank You that You maketh us to lie down in green pastures and that You lead us beside the still waters, Praise thee that you restore our souls and that You lead us in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Oh Lord, even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil for though art with us; and Praise thee that it is Your rod and Your staff which comfort us. Oh most Omnipotent Lord thank You that You prepare a table before us in the presence of mine enemies and that You anoint our head with oil; our cup runneth over. Oh surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life and Praise thee for Your most AWESOME PROMISE that I (we) will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. In Jesus Name, Amen.

What's You Doing?

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

We have new neighbors, they just moved in yesterday. When I arrived home from work the moving van was parked in the driveway and there were scooters sitting by the front door, which meant there were children. It was confirmed when I had gone outside after dinner to look for the comet which was supposed to be visible from the naked eye. As I stared up into the sky I heard a little voice, "what's you doing?" Now that is a question that I had not heard in a long time. In fact probably the last time I heard that a sweet little voice ask me what I was doing was about 3 years ago when my grandchildren came to visit. After I tried to explain what I was doing to a 3 year old adorable girl she was whisked away by her mom - it was dinner time.

Reflecting on that question this morning. How many times have I asked of the LORD, "what's you doing?" when I am faced with a difficult situation or even in need of something simple. I wonder if God hears a sweet little voice and in HIS reply is it the same as me trying to explain a comet to a three year old. I hope you don't misunderstand, it is my desire to hear and it is God who says for me to ask and seek and knock. And I do trust that it is His Will that will be done.

Abba Father, Praise thee for all the wonderfulness of You, oh most Sovereign Lord I come before Your throne of Grace asking that this day would be filled with the Wonder of You. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that she would seek to know the One who calls her precious and ask of the One who sings over her that You alone would answer. May she wait upon the Most Holy One and in the waiting may she be filled with Your Peace which passes all understanding. In Jesus Name, Amen.

It is a Miracle to Live Each Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I was standing at the water's edge the other day desiring to see a whale. Looking intently for the spray to appear I was oblivious of the beauty of each wave that came pounding upon the rocks and shoreline. It was not until a voice from behind me saying that I had better move back because I was going to get wet that broke my concentration. I quickly stepped back, as the spray from the wave crashed over the rock wall. Only then did I notice my surroundings and all that I was missing. My eyes were opened the beauty of the morning itself. All of creation was praising Him. The sound of the ocean, the songs of the birds, the trade winds softly blowing causing the palms to sway in such beauty. Yes the Lord had given me a glorious day to live. Sometimes my desire to see just one thing causes me to miss the whole of it all. It is a miracle to live each day.

Abba Father, Oh most Sovereign Lord, Praise thee for indeed you have created this day and it is a miracle. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would seek the beauty of the Creator. The Great I AM who spoke and it was so. I pray that she would know that when Jesus said "It is finished" that is was for her alone. Lord may You be Glorified this day in the lives of these women as they rejoice in the miracle of this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.
