A Long Pause

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Today is the last Wednesday of November and as many of you recall on the first Wednesday I gave a challenge. I do hope that your rewards abounded more in the midst of the challenges for all of you. This being the last day of the month of giving thanks and before we enter the next month I would like to pause. And I would like it to be a long pause, taking in the deepest breath possible and holding it for as long as possible and as I do, may I remember and marvel.

May I remember the moments when my breath was stopped by the hearing of a diagnosis from a doctor, or of an accident of a close friend, or of a tragedy caused by a senseless act.

May I marvel at the moments when my breath was stopped by the revealed Glory and Sovereign Presence of the Living Word, Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Abba Father, Praise thee for Your Revealed Glory and for Your Sovereign Presence. Lord I pray for each sister-in-Christ that as she remembers the breath stopping moments in her life and cried out to Jesus Christ that she would marvel at the breath stopping moments when by Your Living Word, Jesus Christ, You poured out so abundantly Your most Precious Tender Mercies. In Jesus Name, Amen

God's Blessings to all,

Blessed Thanksgiving

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Tomorrow is a great of remembering, reminding and rejoicing. How marvelous that it is usually centered around a table with food. A coming together of people. It might be with people you interact with each day or first time meeting. Of course it begins with the preparation time. Purchasing just the right foods, if you are cooking it yourself and if a potluck then organizing who will bring what to complete the offerings.

Many of you will be with family, (parents, siblings, grandparents, and in-laws), or with friends and acquaintances.

Whomever you are with and however you celebrate Thanksgiving may it be a day to remember the past and how Gracious and Merciful our Heavenly Father is towards His children. Remind yourself and others of how Faithful and Mighty are His Ways and most of all rejoice in knowing that in the midst of the gathering is our Abba Father. "For where two or three have gathered together in My Name, I am there the midst" Matthew 18:20 (NASB).

May each and every one present at the table have a God-filled and God Blessed day. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Blessed Thanksgiving to all my sisters and brothers-in Christ.

Enjoying the Messy Parts

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This morning I placed my fingertips upon the keyboard, took a deep breath in and as I exhaled, I prayed - Holy Spirit guide my thoughts as I write to these dear and precious sisters. Pausing I await His leading -- Come daughters of the Living King, the bridegroom awaits for He is coming for His bride the church. Maidens of oil lamps prepare for the marriage of the Lamb.

I recently watched a film, Letters to Juliet, and there was one particular line that I really could relate too. The scene was them approaching a villa and the statement made by the grandson was something like this, Great, you get to meet the guy who used to work the fields and now owns them and you get to miss all the messy parts, the grandmother's reply, "Life is the messy parts!" Oh, how true, how very true, life is indeed the messy parts. And without those messy parts how can we ever know/imagine/feel/experience the Glorious, Magnificent, Gracious, and Beautiful Love of Our Heavenly Father.

Abba Father, Praise thee for Your Most Gracious Love and Abundant Mercy that You Bless us with each and every day.
Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that for each day that has the messy parts of life she would be blessed with an extra measure of Your Peace, Joy, Hope, and Love so that she is able to know, imagine, feel, and experience the Glorious and Magnificent and Gracious and Beautiful Love of her Savior Jesus Christ who is coming for His Bride, the church. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Enjoying the messy parts,

It Is Well With My Soul

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

My world seems to be moving faster and faster, how about yours? I had thought that once I had moved to "Paradise" that things would slow down considerably, but even in so called paradise I am experiencing changes. Some good and some I think could have been good but seemed to have been badly planned and/or executed. In those cases I ask myself the question, 'Now why did they do it that way?"

I find that, whenever a change or an upset of what I am currently doing, I ask of God the same question. Does He tell me? Now that is something that I ponder. Sometimes I feel that He does and other times I know that I just have to Trust Him in the midst of my questions.

We sang a hymn at church this past Sunday, It is Well With My Soul. I am finding that for today it most definitely is well with my soul.

Abba Father, thank You for Your most blessed Peace which comforts me. Thank You for Your Presence which is ever constant in my life. Praise thee. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she Trust that in her life You are ever present and ever blessing her with Your Peace. May she drink in the Living Water and taste the Bread of Life. May You fill her with Your Passion to persevere through the changes in her life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

It is well with my soul,

A New Month

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I pray that entering into this new month will be rewarding and challenging for all of you. I know that some of you will think that it is a pretty outrageous prayer to pray for but please consider this: 1) This new month is jam packed, overflowing, bulging at the seams, crammed into every nook and granny, filled to the brim, FULL. 2) This new month God is directing, guiding, His eye upon You, whispering in Your ear, singing a song over You, taking Great delight in you, holding you up, keeping you, giving you tender mercies, for EACH DAY. So that is 30 days of GOODness, KINDness, GENTLEness, LOVE, JOY, HOPE, and so much MORE. So if I do pray for the day to be rewarding it is because I am asking God, our Abba Father, the Sovereign LORD who created all things by speaking it into existence. And if I pray for each day to also be challenging it is because this same God speaks to us each day.

For most of us probably the month of November has become known as the month of giving thanks, so for this month how about a challenge and prayerfully it will be coupled with a reward. The challenge:

1) Upon waking - thank HIM and
2) Right before you close your eyes at the end of the day laying upon your pillow - thank HIM.

For those of you who journal - get a fat journal you are going to need one.
For those of you who are list makers - get a big, big pad
For those of you who want to get started - grab a pencil/pen/crayon/chalk
For those of you who do not have the time - Ask HIM

I have it on the greatest AUTHORITY that you will find it to be the most rewarding 24 hours.

Thank You Abba Father,
