Daddy

Greetings,

It seems that the winter cold bug is everywhere. I pray for speedy recovery for those in the midst of the sneezing, coughing and runny noses. I also pray for protection for those who do not have the outward signs of it yet. May you not get it.

My daddy's birthday is January 1 and I found a card for him this past weekend. I told him on Christmas Day that it was a box of Kleenex type of card - he said he would see. The front of the card has a father's hand and a daughter's hand holding onto each other. The verse inside: "You may not be able to hold my hand anymore but I still need you to hold me in your heart." Now is that a box of Kleenex card or what?

At the Christmas Eve service our pastor was telling us about a foundational truth that our Father in Heaven is Good all the time.

I know that for some your relationship with your father isn't exactly like a Hallmark card portrayal but guess what? We have a heavenly Father who ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY, WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT

LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY.

My Earthly Father (daddy). I miss him and when I do get the chance to talk to him on the phone or visit him as I did this past summer I love just our time together. He is grumpy at times, he is (very) weird at times, and he is fabulous at times. My Heavenly Father (Abba). I long for Him, and when I get the chance to talk to him, at all times, I love just our time together. He is GOOD all the time, He is (very) magnificent all the time, and He is AWESOME all the time.

My prayer for this end of 2007 - Abba Father thank you for all the hugs given - for the promises fulfilled, for the dreams becoming a reality, for the visions becoming a truth. Abba, Praise thee for the gifts (the tender mercies each and every morning). I pray that each dear sister-in-Christ may remember 2007 as a very GOOD year. A year which brought more Love than hate, more Joy than sadness, more Hope than despair, more Kindness and Goodness than bitterness, more Faithfulness than desperation, more Gentleness than harshness, and more Self-control than chaos. Oh most Sovereign LORD we come seeking Your forgiveness for words and deeds spoken and done in haste causing harm and hurt to others. Thank you for Your Heavenly Hugs. In Jesus Name. Amen and Amen

Until next year,

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ

Day 19 of Birthday Month

Greetings,

I'm trying to grasp what God is telling me. Each time I step out He draws me back in and says to WAIT. It is with this day 19 of my birthday month.

I could sense that it was going to be a special season for me as I approached this Christmas Time. Each day brings more anticipation of what is to come. As I look into each new day I see more and more of just how GOOD my LORD truly is.

Just this past Sunday a young lady for whom I have been praying for accepted Jesus. WOW!! What a wonderful, beautiful Christmas she is going to have forever and ever. And Easter even better!!

This Birthday - This Christmas - I'm so EXCITED - to be able to WORSHIP the king of Kings and the lord of Lords. If ever I could imagine that in this life I could look into the Face of God, if I could hear the Whispers of God, if I could smell the sweet fragrance of Jesus, and if I could taste the Words of God. O most Sovereign Lord to know the height and depth and width of YOUR LOVE - I am in AWE of You.

Heavenly Father, may our Worship be worthy, Holy GOD, praise and glory and honor. We serve a God who is GOOD and all that He does for us is done in LOVE. Thank you Lord. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ this day and in the days to come that her life be so overwhelmed by Your LOVE that nothing this world has to offer will tempt her to glance in another direction. Your birth - our Messiah. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week

Merry Christmas

Day 12 of my Birthday month

Greetings,

Good morning to all - This year I decided to have a birthday month - yep - most definitely I'm being very selfish with myself but for this birthday coming up 57 years - I'm taking the whole month to celebrate. Each day I remind myself of how Great and Sovereign my God is and along with that I in turn am rewarded with a Promise that He is Faithful and Loves me Forever and Ever. I Love the great I AM. This birthday month day I have the honor and privilege to write to all of you. How great is that?

Today I am doing something out of the ordinary -What happens when the press has moved on to another tragedy? What happens when the situation isn't solved in an hour or maybe two hours as portrayed in most television shows? I am attaching a link to how to help: medical teams international

Psalm 62:5-8 My soul, wait in silence for God only. For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Heavenly Father, Praise and Glory to Your Holiness, You are Sovereign over Heaven and Earth, May Your Kingdom Come. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that her life may be cemented, grounded, secure in the knowledge that her LORD is the great I AM. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,

Two Words

Greetings to my dear sisters-in-Christ,

This being the beginning of the Christmas season, a word was stated in church that I only hear at Christmas time- Advent; so I looked it up in the dictionary, (because I was not sure of the meaning and/or application).

I have a dear sister-in-Christ you always asks "where is that in the Bible".

Advent dictionary definition: the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. The first season of the church year leading up to Christmas and including the four preceding Sundays. Christian Theology: the coming or second coming of Christ - of Latin origin.

My DH asked about the meaning of the second word, Hallelujah. Dictionary definition: exclamation, God be praised uttered in worship or as an explanation of rejoicing - directly from Hebrew. When looking up this word I saw Hallel which means a portion of the servie for certain Jewish praise festivals Psalms 113-118.

Very interesting!

No longer are these two words a puzzle for me for I know the meaning of them. As to applying them to my life - I choose to celebrate the advent of Jesus Christ by shouting HALLELUJAH all the day long.

I am entering into another day and for some the day is fast approaching the setting of the sun. A day is which we are anticipating the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

For my sisters-in-Christ who are experiencing stressful situations with the conditions of nature's fury I pray for a peace during this turbulent storm. It to shall pass and I pray that in the midst of the storm that your FAITH would be built up in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May Your Mind and Heart be saturated with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and may you have every occasion to bless the Lord for the mighty works that He has/is/and will do in the midst of this storm.

Abba Father, our Great and Mighty God, our most Sovereign LORD, Hallelujah to You our GOD, the great I AM. Praise thee for each dear sister-in-Christ that her salvation is secure and no matter the situation may she grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (II Peter 3:18) I pray also that you Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 21) In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ
