Psalm 45:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I am so thankful for the privlege of connecting with each one of you on Wednesday mornings. Through the years you have been there for me in my growth moments and my silly moments and in my sorrowful moments. Isn't it wonderful that no matter where we are in the vast planet and no matter our differences and our likenesses it is always the Lord who binds us together. Yes, our LORD, our creator, our shepherd, our master, our heavenly Father and our Savior and the Holy Spirit, the trinity! Today I would like to share this verse, Psalm 45:1, "My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer." So much is packed into those few words BUT (God) - first, "my heart" each one of us have a heart, a soul heart, that longs to worship the Lord, next is, "overflows", kind of reminds me of when I am distracted while pouring my morning cup of tea and feeling the water dripping from the counter I look down to see the stream of water flowing down. Yes that kind of overflowing and that is the kind of love and blessings that the Lord wants to pour into us. Then "I address my verses to the King". The most important part of placing your thoughts down on paper for it is to give all the glory to the King of kings. The next part, "my tongue", now this is interesting because the word says, death and life are in the power of the tongue, ...", (Prov. 18:21). Thankfully this writer uses his tongue as "the pen of a ready writer." Since I dabble in writing this verse calls out to me for in my writing may I treat it as "the pen of a ready writer giving praise and glory and honor to the One who created ALL things and keeps them in their proper order and makes All things good and is coming back again. Let us pray - Abba Father, Gracious Lord, my heavenly Father, thank you for All the blessings and the gifts and tender mercies that You alone bestow upon each dear and precious sister-in-Christ every new day. May they rejoice and be glad in it and be ready and in boldness proclaim that their hearts overflow with a good theme. A theme which resonates up to the heavens that You are King of kings and Lord of lords. In Jesus Name, Amen. Siting with pen awaiting the next verse to write,

The Greatness of God - Psalm 23:6

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I have an email account that I rarely use however yesterday afternoon I opened it up and there was an email from someone whom my late husband and I had spent so many hours and days with enjoying each others company by fellowshipping and eating together and even playing games with others too. As I read the email I started to cry because of the words stated in the email. They were wishing my husband a happy 75th birthday and hoping that we were doing well and being blessed. Also as I read it again my tears were flowing because during the past couple of days I was "missing him". My mind still knows that he is in heaven BUT my heart is still "missing him". The person had left contact information so I quickly called them back. We spoke for some time as I shared about the passing of my husband and how much I had been blessed and also encouraged by receiving the heartfelt message. That brings me to why I titled this post the "Greatness of God." Yes, He is a Good God and yet yesterday He displayed His greatness. He knows my thoughts, He sees my heart and the last couple of days have been "missing him" days. In searching for a verse Psalm 23:6 seemed to be the right verse to dwell on today. Psalm 23:6, "Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." I was blessed by the words expressed and also encouraged because of who sent the email and how timely that it was sent. How greatly God uses His obedient servants! Let us pray - Abba Father, thank You for Your Greatness which is displayed in the most amazing of ways. Praise to Thee for hearing our hearts and answering our cries of delight and of sorrow. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that her heart and her mind would worship You for Your Greatness as Your goodness and lovingkindness will follow them all the days of their lives. As they breathe in today and sigh at day's end praising You for Your greatness. In Jesus Name, Amen Embracing His Goodness and Greatness,

What Color Will Appear

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I have been doing so many things lately. Dog sitting for my son, making doctor's appointments which are long overdue and praying all the while for taking care of dogs is not an easy task for me and also making the much needed doctor's appointments seems daunting. The reason I pray is because I need strength and patience and His favor! Yes, His favor above all else as I ask Him to help me to know how to take care of the dogs and also I pray for His favor for in making the doctor's appointments I need Him for He knows me and He knows the path I am taking. I took care of the dogs for 3 nights and 4 days. They were very patient with me as their routine was being interrupted even though I tried to stay as close as I could. The very first thing was that they were surprised to see me and not their owners. But, they knew me from the times I had visited them and welcomed me once again. Now for the doctor's appointments, giving them all the pertinent information and finding a convenient time for both of us was much better than I expected. Today is my scheduled appointment to see the dentist as a new patient. I have not seen a dentist in several years but the Lord has impressed upon me that I need to be seen. So I listened and am trusting in Him and obeying and also asking for His favor. So onto another matter! I planted some seeds last year in my garden area. These seeds were from my dad's house and he had labeled the small bottle, "hollyhocks". I was not sure what the color would be and was excited for them to bloom, however nothing last year BUT this year the bush grew and grew and grew, almost reaching the roof of the house. I have been waiting to see what the color of the flowers were going to be and this morning I finally got to see - so attached is the first blooms! How these two stories are related? First, it was in the listening to Him. When my son called and asked I readily agreed and said yes and when the Lord impressed upon me to make the appointments I readily agreed. For the outcome I trusted He would help me and His favor would be upon me. Then the last step was to obey. Now for the timing with the planting of the hollyhocks I had to wait to see what the color of the flowers would be. Aww, the Goodness of the Lord, how rich and merciful and beautiful. Let us pray - Abba Father, Thank you for hearing our prayers, thank You for talking to us, thank You for Your Goodness and Mercy and Grace. I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ would seek first the Kingdom of God and hear from You and listen, trust and obey. Lord shine Your Light into their lives in the most amazing of ways today. In Jesus Name, Amen. There is no other way,
