Massage Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Welcome to the last Wednesday of April and I have a one hour massage scheduled this morning. My thoughts traveled to it being a spa day then to Esther. Why to the Book of Esther? For me getting a massage is a little like giving my body time to relax and be cleansed of all the tension and stress that I have stored up over the days or weeks and I feel so beautiful on the inside. Of course, Esther was being prepared to be the queen so for her she had to go through a process to make her worthy of the King. Esther 2:12, "...for the days of their beautification were competed as follows: six month with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and the cosmetics for women-...". I am so thankful for God's Grace that when we come before the throne of Grace all dirty and unworthy and scarred and laid bare that we only need to call upon the name of Jesus and believe in Him and we are instantly beautified, instantly cleansed, instantly righteous in His Sight. We already have His favor and it goes beyond just the every day and reaches into eternity. Today as I enjoy my massage I will think about His reason for going to the cross and dying for my sins and taking this weary and unkempt sinner and transformed me into being the bride of Christ. Let us pray - Abba Father, thank You that we have already gone through the beautification process when we asked Jesus into our hearts. Praise to You O Lord for that I need not go through six months of this and six months of that to have Your Favor. O, Lord, I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ would Be Still and Know You are God and accept that she is loved intimately and deeply and that Your Favor upon her is for every day of her life here on earth and forever in eternity with You. In Jesus Name, Amen. Already favored by Him,

Psalm 43:3 and 4 - Send Out Your Light And Truth

When I awoke this morning the first thought I had after saying it was Wednesday was Psalm 43. So here I am with you all this morning! As I began to read these two verses resonated within my heart, verse 3, "O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling places." and verse 4, "Then I will go to the altar of God, To god my exceeding joy; and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God." Aww, the sunrise, the light begins to shine and if you are somewhere quiet or even taking a morning walk basking in the sun-rays - it is that kind of light, BUT also there is a purity in the Light and listening to the wind blowing through the trees and the birds singing their morning praises - singing the truth of who God is! It is those moments where the footsteps on the pavement begin to have a rhythm and you know you are walking on holy ground and before you know it you have walked farther than you had planned on BUT your spirit was renewed and refreshed. When I read verse four "and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God", I paused for I am not musically inclined so maybe the lyre would not be the best choice for me BUT that does not stop me from singing praises to Him, O God, my God. Let us pray - Abba Father, Praise to Thee and thank You for sending out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me and my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ as they walk through their days. O, Lord bless them richly with Your tender mercies today and may they rejoice that they may be confident in knowing that You have planned and purposed their lives and every day is a good day. Lord may they sing or play the lyre or dance in Your presence and may they hear Your truth in all they do. In Jesus Name, Amen. The beauty of His light and truth,

Psalm 65 - God's Abundant Favor

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, In Him alone does the earth and man survive, for in Psalm 65 there are so many verses to sing praises to the Lord!! In the first verse, "there will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God". There are so many times when I am talking in my head but when I come before Him to pray there is a stillness and I just sit in silence. In verse 2, "O You who hear prayer, to You all men come." Yes, how glorious that He hears our prayers and answers them in His timing and in His will. For verse 5 states, "By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation,You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and the sea:" And in verse 4, How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You to dwell in Your courts." Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ isn't it the most beautiful feeling to wake up in the morning and as you start your day He has already planned and purposed and will be directing your steps. How rich in tender mercies we are for we are His children, the redeemed and the sanctified. I have been planning just how my garden areas will be filled and what flowers I plan on purchasing and it has become a project that I am throughly enjoying. In seeking out just the right flower to go where I am in awe of just how beautiful and rich the colors and textures of every one seem to bring me in position of wonder and awe at His creation. God is so Good and He is All the time in All ways. Let us pray - Abba Father, our glorious and magnificent Lord, thank You O Lord for Your abundant favor. Lord I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be amazed and thrilled and excited to start her day for this is the day You have made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. May each one be highly favored by You and may she rest her head as she falls asleep knowing that You have directed each step of her day. In Jesus' Name, Amen. Blessings in the stillness of the day,

Welcome to the Month of April - A Special Conversation

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Last week I received a text followed by a phone call from a very dear and precious sister-in-Christ with questions about where my Wednesday morning prayer was because she couldn't find it in her inbox or spam box. That conversation is the reason I am starting to write once again. My reasons stated were valid or so I thought but as we prayed together the Lord impressed upon me the importance of continuing to fellowship with each one of you each week was from Him. I must admit I had been missing our time together for a couple of weeks and with the phone call it was affirmed that yes the Lord is still writing my story. After visiting the blog site my last posting was the end of January so there is much to catch up on. This new season of my life is teaching me so many things in which I categorize as "firsts". The ending of my daily prayer is from Proverbs 16:9, "The mind of man plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.", I tell Him what I have planned for the day and then ask Him to direct my steps. This has kept me grounded in Him for my mind wonders so much. The unexpected memories of this or that tend to creep into my mind and it brings along with it sadness that overwhelms and halts any doing of what I had planned. I pray that the Lord has been directing your daily steps with Him. There is a comfort in knowing that the eternity that awaits all of us is glorious. I have attached a photo of the Easter floral arrangement. The white rose signifies that we are washed as white as snow, the red roses signifies the Rose of Sharon, the scarlet flowers signifies the blood that was shed for our sins, His final sacrifice, the baby's breath signifies that we have been reborn in Christ and the palms signify Palm Sunday. Oh and one more for my first's - going ice skating and having Outback ribs and dessert (chocolate thunder from down under) on March 1, our anniversary, planning my front and back garden beds, the possibilities are endless as there are so many flowers to choose from. I have settled on stawberries in one of the beds. The last thing for today is this - from the moment after my husband passed the Lord assured me of this, "you are MINE!" There is not a moment of the day that there is something or someone to remind me of His abundant provision, His rich and beautiful Peace and His constant and glorious Presence. Let us pray - Abba Father, we give You all the honor and glory and praise. Thank You Oh LORD for Your Goodness and Lovingkindness and forever Grace. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ as she walks through her day and may she be overwhelmed by Your Presence and quieted by Your Peace and delighted and satisfied by Your Provision. In Jesus Name, Amen. Being refreshed by His living waters,
