Psalm 13:4-6 - Trusting in His Lovingkindness

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Well we have almost made it through the first month of January, this being the last day and it happens to fall on a Wednesday. For several years every Wednesday was a special day because I only had to work half a day, which meant that after lunch was free time for me. I started to do different things on my half day. Sometimes it was a drive to someplace special, other times it was catching up with friends and at other times it was just taking some quiet time for myself. Even though we moved away from that city the tradition has stuck in my mind. And since I have retired Wednesday is still a special day for me. Do you have a special day? Last night before falling asleep this chapter and verses in the Psalm came to my mind. And again this morning before beginning my post and being obedient to the Lord I opened my bible this morning and read Psalm 13:4-6, "And my enemy will say, "I have overcome him." But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, Because He has dealt bountifully with me." Yes, I am trusting in His Lovingkindness and because of this my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation and I will sing to Him for He has dealt bountifully with me. His lovingkindness is forever and ever! The LORD has dealt bountifully with me. Yes, He has, and every day is a special day and just not a half day either, but a full day filled with tender mercies and it begins anew every day. Definition of bountifully - liberal or generous in bestowing gifts or favors. Yes He does! Oh LORD each day You are liberal/generous in bestowing gifts and favors. Lord forgive me for some days I lose sight of this beautiful promise. Let us pray - Father, Abba Father, how great and glorious and beautiful thou art. We give you all the honor and praise and rejoice in this day for Your lovingkindness and for dealing bountifully with us. May each dear and precious sister-in-Christ's heart rejoice in Your salvation, the greatest gift, Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross for us and let us sing to the LORD because He has dealt bountifully (oh Lord Your gifts and favors) with us. Lord, I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ will rise up once again and trust fully and rejoice this day for whatever enemy she may have or whatever situation has caused her to be shaken that she need not fear BUT know in her heart that You are in control of her every moment. In Jesus Name, Amen. Trusting in His lovingkindness,

Psalm 51 - Wash Me

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, We (husband, son and me) are remodeling of our small bathroom and I'm the clean-up crew. My job is to keep the dust and debris to a minimum! I take this job very seriously because I can see the miniscule layers of dust, especially the kind that comes with working with drywall. The chalk-like substance clings to everything. My first try was using my vacuum cleaner until it clogged up on me and much needed cleaning to unclog was very tedious so I decided that the best was water. Side note: Those of you who do all kinds of remodeling are probably having a good laugh now and that is okay. My job starts after the hole for the medicine cabinet is sealed with mud, after the ceiling fan hole has been made, and after the outlets have been securely sealed and operational. This has been going on for a few days because our son who helps with this only has so much time to help us. And that is wonderful to have him working alongside his dad and getting it all done. As I was thinking about my job of using water and paper towels to remove all the dust and debris from the ceiling, doors, walls and floors after each day, what came to my mind this morning was Jesus, the Living Water, and how He washes us clean from the dust and debris of our lives. Psalm 51:2, "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." and Psalm 51:7, "Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." These two verses are only the tip of the iceberg of just how Jesus, the Living Water, for not only does He wash and cleanse but He purifies us. Let us pray - Father, Abba Father, Praise to thee, and we worship Thee this morning for You are our creator and we are dust and yet You took that dust and it became clay and now we have been formed and shaped into Your image and in the image of Christ Jesus our Saviour and Lord and sustainer and purifier. Lord, I ask that today each dear and precious sister-in-Christ meditate on these words and be washed and cleansed and purified by the blood of Jesus and walk joyfully through her day. In Jesus Name, Amen. Being washed and cleansed,

Psalm 27:4 and 27:14

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I thought that maybe a journey through the Psalms would be a rewarding adventure as we purposefully walk through our days. The last verse that was read before I tucked myself into bed was Psalm 27:4, "One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple." There was one word that popped out to me and that is Beauty. Yes, beauty - the definition of beauty - a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. To behold the beauty of the Lord. He is worthy of our praise and when we come before His throne of Grace may we behold the beauty of Him. The second verse I found this morning as I prepared for this post. Psalm 27:11, "Wait for the Lord: Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. Again, the Lord has brought to my attention the word "wait" but this time it was a little different or maybe the Lord wanted to express His thoughts and ways on the matter. Twice it states "wait for the Lord". So here we are journeying through our lives waking up each day and hopefully seeking His beauty in every situation and also waiting for the Lord for His thoughts and His ways are so much higher than ours. Let us pray - Abba Father we come before Your throne of Grace this morning and offer up our praises for You are our LORD. Thank you oh Lord that each breath we take and each step we take on this adventurous day has been in Your Presence. I ask of thee that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ see the beauty of the Lord and that she will wait for the Lord. Keep each one safe and under the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Seeing His Beauty,

Welcome to 2024

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, The first Wednesday of the new year and joyfully spending the early morning with all of you is my greatest pleasure. My first day was spent saying several times during the day and even ending my evening with ," i still can't believe that we made it to 2024." It seems to be a miracle that we actually got this far with all the happenings of 2023. The 363/24/7 days of 2024 are yet to be experienced so with this in mind let us consider these three verses found in the Psalms. Psalm 16:5, "The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup, You support my lot." Psalm 16:11, "You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." and Psalm 17:8, "Keep me as the apple of the eye Hide me in the shadow of Your wings". Yes, LORD this is my prayer for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ as they walk into a new day. Let us pray - Abba Father, our Creator who has established us and kept us thus far. Praise to thee above the heavens. Lord I ask of thee that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ boldly state that the Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup and that you support her cup. I ask of thee that You make known to her the path of life and in Your presence is fullness of joy and in Your right hand there are pleasures forever and lastly Lord may You keep her as the apple of the eye and hide her in the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Entering into His Presence,
