Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, My daughter gave me a little sign made out of scrabble pieces for Christmas last year and it says, "write on". Beginning the first of November I will be attempting to write 50,000 words. I can hear you right now, that is a lot of words and yes it is but if you consider how many words you read or hear each day I'm sure that it is more than that. In fact if you watch television, or live streaming, or checking any social media sites words are being spoken or written or sung or recited. Yes, words, whether spoken out loud or silenced is the only way we stay connected or learn or decide or contemplate about life itself. The beginning of words - Genesis 1:3, "And God said..." Sayings like, "A picture is worth a thousand words" and ``action speaks louder than words" are kind of redundant, don't you think? Yes, words are our life and as long as words are needed to communicate, may we use words to encourage and bring a smile to someone's face or even tell a truth to lift someone up. What is truly amazing to me is this verse found in Psalm 139, verse 4, For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether." The LORD knows every word so my prayer - Abba Father, Great and Glorious and Holy and Sovereign, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee, Lord thank You for giving us words to speak, to think, to sign, to sing, and to worship. Oh Lord may Your Spirit quicken us to use our words wisely and softly when needed and also to bring encouragement and comfort to those who are hurting and struggling. In Jesus Name, Amen. Lord give me Your words to speak,

Two Faith Building Words

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Our third week of the month of colors and I hope that there are still many different colors being displayed in your lives. Some of the trees have lost their leaves and now they are piling up on lawns and/or being raked up and placed in plastic bags with smiley faces on them. My attention has been drawn to these two words and when reading them my heart is reassured that the Lord is... (you can fill in the rest.) The two words are: Alland No-thing! Our Lord is Lord over ALL and Nothing can separate us from Him. Genesis 2:1-2, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which he had made."Luke 1:37,"For with God nothing shall be impossible." 2 Cor. 1:20, "For All the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." Romans 8:38-39 even lists the things that are the "nothing" to God. Yes, the Lord of ALL has given us the blessed assurance that the word "Nothing" is very important and both words are trustworthy in the Kingdom of God, which is where we will be spending all eternity. So the next time something arises in your life that seems to consume your anxious thoughts just whisper the name of Jesus and He will take care of the All in your life and remind you of His promise that Nothing will be, has been or is able to separate you from HIM. My prayer - Abba Father, our Creator, our Jealous God, our Redeemer, and our Deliverer, Praise to Thee in All ways and in All things. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today she would rise and be thankful and grateful for the One who calls her His own and as the day progresses may she whisper Your Name, shout Your Name, sing praises to Your Name, and may she be still and know that You are her blessed Redeemer and that her name is written in the Lambs book of Life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 118:29

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I pray that each day's passing into night has been a blessing to yourself and to others. All the minutest details were intricately planned and purposed by the Creator of ALL. I have not a clue as to how your week went and even less about how this day will be displayed, BUT... Yes, He knows and He is Good and He Loves you and me. It is written, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is Good; His love endures forever. (Psalm 118:29) For me I must cling to this truth - ...for He is Good; His Love endures forever. When circumstances in my life seem to be endless, taking time to give thanks is a gift. A precious gift that needs to be nurtured and practiced over and over again. Only the LORD knows what is GOOD, only the LORD's Love endures forever. It is impossible to know His thoughts and His ways which are unfathomable so just come before Him each day and give thanks for He is Good; His Love endures forever. My prayer - Abba Father, You are Sovereign and You are Good. Thank you O LORD for ALL, O LORD that word "ALL" is a mystery that You unfold each day is our lives. LORD I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today and each day following, until we meet again, that ALL Your GOOD and ALL Your LOVE will envelope her in the most amazing of ways. My her Joy and Hope and Peace be found in giving thanks to the one who created her to be a remarkable and unique woman of God. In Jesus Name, Amen. For He is GOOD,

October - A Month of Many Colors

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Welcome to the month of October! A month of many colors - light to dark greens, oranges to reds, subtle to bold yellows, and even the skies are filled with different colors of clouds. Yes a month of colors! Each color displaying its beauty can sometimes become overwhelming to the naked eye because our senses can go into overdrive trying to hurriedly capture each hue. As I sit on my bench under the Ash tree above me, the leaves begin to drop from the branches and fall upon me or the ground or into the water. I hope that your Fall is rich in bounty and in colors and will bring to your minds just how colorful our world really is. As you welcome in the month of October I pray that your eyes will see and behold the beauty of each color and enjoy the richness of the season. Abba Father, thank You O Lord for Your Grace and Mercy. Praise You for Your Goodness and Kindness. O Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would be surrounded by the richness of Your beauty. May they see Your glory displayed not only in the natural world but see even deeper into the eternal world where the colors of the Light are brilliant and majestic to behold. In Jesus Name, Amen. Basking in the Beauty of the Lord,
