Thanksgiving 2020 Style

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, as you all are aware of, but this is the year of 2020! A year where anything traditional or normal has been challenging to say the least. A year where every moment needed to have a silver lining, a reason for being grateful, a reason to give thanks. Some have tried to introduce alternatives, some have tried to make it into something it is not. I have titled this post, "Thanksgiving 2020 Style" because some may want to try to celebrate it in the traditional way, but nothing about 2020 is traditional and most definitely any semblance of normal. This post - in wanting to wish you all the traditional Happy Thanksgiving Day seemed to be artificial. Yes, I do hope that tomorrow is a day set aside for giving thanks, being thankful for ALL that the Sovereign Lord has provided, promised, answered, delivered, and given throughout these days and months of 2020. In searching for a verse or a chapter the book of 1 Samuel and chapter 2 beginning in verse 1 and 2 "Then Hannah prayed and said, "My heart exults in the LORD, My horn is exalted in the LORD, My mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your Salvation. There is no one holy like the LORD, Indeed, there is no one besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God." Then in verses 7 and 8, "The LORD makes poor and rich; He brings low, He also exalts. He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with nobles and inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S. And He set the world on them." Yes, this is 2020 and in praying with each one of my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ and wishing them a blessed Thanksgiving Day, may it be like this... Abba Father, We give you all the honor and praise, may we individually and collectively come before Your Holy Throne of Grace just as Hannah did and boldly proclaim that "My heart exults in the LORD, my horn is Exalted in the Lord, my mouth speaks boldly against my enemies because I rejoice in Your Salvation. Oh LORD there is no one holy like You and indeed, there is no one besides You, nor is there any rock like our God. LORD may each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be anointed this day with your Favor and blessings and riches and love and faithfulness and Grace and gentleness and kindness and Peace and Joy and Hope. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Be Blessed in the most Miraculous Ways,

The Power of Prayer

Greetings dear and precious sister-in-Christ, This will be my 663 post. It started as a thought that I wanted to stay connected to my friends from the mainland when we moved to Hawaii. Initially I wrote letters to around twelve women who were very dear friends and also very strong prayer warriors. We moved to Hawaii in 2001 so probably around early 2002 is my guess. If any of you still have my original letters I would love to hear from you. It grew through the years aa the Lord led me to other women in Hawaii and also in other countries. It went from hand written and snail mail to type written and via the computer. My daughter helped me set up a blog and website and helped me manage it until I could go out on my own. It has grown in amazing of ways. Reaching into the hearts of women around the world. Through the years the focus of praying for each and every one of you has always and will always be my desire. May I never lose sight of that Focus! I don't take it lightly and it most definitely is not some kind of ritual that I hold onto. It is a time when me and the Lord, come together and as He dictates the words I write them. Sometimes He gives me in the moment and other times it might be the night before, but still He guides, He directs the words He desires to place in each one's heart. I am so thankful to be used by Him in this way and thankful that as I obey Him the rewards are amazing in so many ways. Last night as I was reading my devotional, "Daily Light" by Bagster/Lotz, before going to sleep this verse spoke to me - "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His Ways!" Romans 11:33. Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, this is why we must never cease in praying and know of His great Power as He hears your cries and sees your tears. Abba Father, Gracious and Mighty and Magnificent and Glorious! Thank you LORD that You alone know our heart's cry. Thank You for this power as we bow before You knowing that You supply us with such riches beyond understanding and that Your Ways we will never be able to comprehend. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today as she prays for people or places or circumstances or situations that You would hear those words so preciously spoken to You and embrace her with such a peace and joy and hope to Be Still and Know that You are God! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Blessings of Joy be upon you,

A Spa Day at Elim

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I do believe that a spa day is in order, but first let me share my morning experience - upon awakening my thought was of an oasis - somewhere in my bible reading was a story about a place where the Isralites had been led to after the exodus from Egypt. But more importantly was the sweetness that had entered my room. It was beyond peace, and this sweetness brought me to tears. I knew it was the presence of the Lord for I had experienced this twice before and with all that has transpired ALL over the world it was so unexpected and sweet that it brought me to tears. Now for our spa day at Elim -- only one verse found in Exodus 15:27, which reads, "Then they came to Elim where there were twelve springs of water and seventy date palms, and they camped there beside the waters. The Isralites had fled on foot from Egypt and approaching were the Egyptians on horses and chariots. They reached the Red Sea and it parted and still walking on dry ground they crossed over and witnessed the power of the LORD. These past few days have been charged with terror and fear and now they were without food or water. And for three days they found no water, even at Marah the waters were bitter until the Lord showed Moses a tree which he threw into the waters, and the waters became sweet. But still they left there after Moses had made for them a statue and regulation. At this point you are probably wondering what does all this have to do with having a spa day at Elim. Well -- here it comes, I love these verses that start with then... Yes we have been through so much but today we need a word of truth, and word that comforts and fills us with sweetness and brings us to tears of pure Joy. So for today let us have a spa day with the Word of Truth, Jesus Christ. You most definitely will not be surrounded by twelve springs of water and sevety date palms, but TRUST me our LORD will provide something so special and sweet and pure and beautiful that it pales to what the Isralites found in Elim. So may your day begin with the LORD saying, "then they came to..." Abba Father, Our glorious and magnificent and loving Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee. LORD thank You for giving us Jesus, thank You for not leaving us forsaken but giving us Your Holy Spirit. LORD, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as You direct her and guide her this day that it will be a day that You have set aside just for her to be pampered, loved, embraced, purified, cleansed, refreshed, renewed and restored. A day like none other where her tears of Joy can flow freely and these tears will be for things lost or hopes not met or dreams not fulfilled or pains so deep but in the releasing of these tears You will bring the sweetness of Your Presence. In Jesus Name, Amen. May the tears flow,

Welcome to the Month of November

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, A new month and it happens to be the month of November! The dictionary defines: that it is the eleventh month and the last month of Autumn. It is the time for full moons and harvests and there is a briskness in the night and early morning air. Traditionally it is the month for being thankful. And not wanting to break with tradition - let us start today the fourth day of November being thankful! Yes, we have made it this far, we have come through the Spring and Summer and now Fall is soon to leave us, so let us enjoy the fullness of the last month of Autumn and be thankful by dwelling on... Philippianes 4:8. For it is written, "..., whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." There is so much to be thankful for and each day is a new day. A new day which the Lord has made and instructed us to rejoice and be glad in it. Abba Father, Our Great God who loves us exceedingly great! Praise You O LORD for this new day! LORD, my prayer for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her dwelling upon Your Word that You would open her eyes to see Your Glory, open her ears to hear Your Song, open her heart to experience the beauty of Your Truth and open her mind to comprehend Your Sovereignty. Lord only You know and have designed each one of them so, may they welcome each and every day of November, the last month of Autumn. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Rejoice in the Lord always and let your gentle spirit be known to all...
