Psalm 40:1-3

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, It is the last day of September and thus my September journey with the Lord is about to come to an end. I have been in this safe harbor and watching the storms. The storms of weather, of adversity, of devastation, of loss, and of decisions. Yes, I say decisions because it is hard to "wait upon the Lord." Psalm 40:1-3, "I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear and will Trust in the LORD. For actually in the waiting upon the Lord is where TRUST ignites into a burning flame, a glorious flame. Definition of Trust: firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something Abba Father, We give you all the honor and glory and praise. Thank You, O LORD, that in our waiting upon Thee You ignite in us a burning flame, a glorious flame called TRUST. Yes today we proclaim (have firm belief) that You, our Savior, our Deliverer, our Shepherd, our Strong Tower, is the great I AM and You are our reliability, our truth, our ability, and our strength. Lord may we wait upon Thee more and more and more because it is only in Your divine timing of ALL things that we, Your children, are truly blessed. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen. Waiting and Trusting,

First Chronicles 29:11

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I just happened to read this verse two days ago during my devotional time. Honestly where has this verse been all these years! Let me write it down - let me say, it is written, "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. If there was any doubt, this verse has to put any doubts away from you. For those who are fervently seeking Him here is the great I AM. All the words spoken - greatness, power, glory, victory and majesty; each one said out loud can dispel any fears or doubts or worries or anxieties. Followed by - Everything that is in the heavens and the earth, just in case you thought that there was someplace He was not! Yours is the dominion - definition of:sovereignty, control - Yes! Lastly - You exalt Yourself as head over all. It is He who does this and if He exalts there is nothing that can undo what God has said. So my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ for today may you be still and rest and reside at His feet and settle in your mind and sigh deeply and with hands lifted high boldly proclaim - this is my LORD! Abba Father, There are not enough words that we can express our thankfulness that You know us so intimately and deeply and You are a jealous God. LORD, how can we? LORD in our seeking of You may we be stunned by Your Brilliance, speechless in our expressions, quieted by Your Love, and stilled by Your Power. In Jesus Name, Amen Seeking HIM,

John 17 - Jesus Spoke These Things

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

My husband has a project that he has been working on for a couple of years now. He had started it and then he had a few setbacks which ended up in delaying the completion of the project.

How many times has this happened in our lives, probably more than we want to admit. You are probably wondering what this has to do with the title of this post.

Well... with Jesus there are no mishaps, no delays, nothing to delay the project. Beginning in John 17, Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent, "I have glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work, which You have given Me to do..."

Jesus accomplished the work, which was given to Him by the Father! The High Priestly Prayer is so precious - may you cling to every word and hear the voice of our compassionate and loving LORD. Hopefully you will take the time to read the whole chapter and know that Jesus SPOKE these things and it is so.

Abba Father,

How wonderous are Your works, how marvelous are Your words spoken, how beautiful are Your works! Lord I ask in the name of Jesus that as each dear and precious sister-in-Christ works today or hears today or sees today or says today that it is seen through the eyes of Your heart. May the intent be that You be glorified in all of it. May Your Truth be evident in their lives and may the Holy Spirit guide and direct and give counsel for indeed she has the "mind of Christ." May Your Love and Peace and Joy fill these precious vessels that You have created this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Being Filled,

The Sounds of Fellowshipping

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Still in my safe harbor - interesting happening, a new neighbor moved into the low income housing apartment last month. Since it is across the street from our house and whether looking out the bay window located in the dining room or the garden box window in the kitchen, I get to see most of the goings and comings. She is in her late 70's! I can tell that she is an extrovert, for each morning and late afternoon a group of men and women gather at "the spot" located next to the trash enclosure, and spend some time fellowshipping. It is like the queen holding court and I say this in a very good way. I rather enjoy the sounds of laughter and different voices in discussion. Occasionally I am either taking my morning walk or evening walk and always wave and greet them. The response I get back is always so wonderful.

I call it fellowshipping because the very definition - 1) friendly association, especially with people who share one's interests and 2)a group of people meeting to pursue a shared interest or aim.

Abba Father,

Thank You Lord for friends and acquaintances that You bring into our lives. Thank You for total strangers that You also bring into our lives. Thank You that You are constantly fellowshipping with us. Lord as we meet together, whether in-person or virtually, You are in our midst. Thank You that You have placed each one of us in Your embrace while we are together. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that in her everyday fellowshipping she is aware of Your Presence. And may she be richly blessed by the sounds of the fellowshipping and in Your Presence may she boldly and confidently proclaim that there is no other God besides You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Loving the Sounds,

Placed in a Safe Harbor

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Welcome to the 9th month, September. Yesterday being the first day of September I flipped the page of the calendar. It is a scenery calendar so knew it would be something very scenic and wasn't disappointed. It was a picture of St.Barts, Leeward Islands, lesser Antilles taken by George H.H.Huey. It shows that several sailing vessels are nested in the safe harbor and outside of the harbor the waters are turbulent with clouds on the horizon showing a storm is coming. I looked at it a couple more times yesterday thinking how beautiful and peaceful the photo was.

This morning I looked at it again and this thought came instantly to my mind, "I have placed you in my safe harbor." I knew that it was the Lord whispering into my ears.

Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ I pray that the 9th month, the month of September is a month where you can boldly proclaim, can be still and know, that the Lord has placed you specifically where His Glory is Magnified.

Abba Father, we give You All the Praise and Honor and Glory this day and thank You for keeping us, watching over us, nurturing us, protecting us, guiding us, saving us, sanctifying us, loving us, and for promising us as it is written, "For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken," says the LORD who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10). Lord I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be at rest in her mind, in her heart and in her body knowing that You have Your eyes upon her constantly. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Blessings,
