Spending Time Together

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Of late I have been trying to get to the root of the word, and this morning is an example of that -

Definintion of Spend(ing) - use or give out the whole of; exhaust
Definintion of Time - the indefinite continual progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole (this one was really meaningful); the progress of time as affecting people and things and time or an amount of time as reckoned by a conventional standards.
Definition of Together - with or in proximity to another person or people; so as to touch or coming in combination, collectively; into companionship or close association.

Now let's do some "Spending Time Together" shall we?

Abba Father, Thank You that You love "spending time together", thank You that Your "Time" with us is infinite, thank You that You desire that our being "together" is so far reaching. Lord God how marvelously and beautifully and miraculously You weave each of us tightly in the grip of Your Grace. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that in her "spending" and in her "time" and in her "together" moments that her life is filled to the brim and even to overflowing of You and You alone. I ask in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I Bring Nothing to the Table

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

What can I bring to the table? What can I bake or make that would be pleasing to Him?

We received an invitation to a Halloween Party, which is a potluck and byob(d). So naturally I'm trying to think of what to bring to the table and also how much. The decision has been made - a dish of "gluten-free" lasagna. This took me two days of thinking.

As I thought about what to write this morning, the title of this post popped into my head, and yes this is from Him.

Dear and Precious sisters-in-Christ in the hustle and bustle of your everyday lives we have nothing to bring to the table - nothing that is tangible!!! Nothing that is man made!!!

Absolutely nothing and yet He has invited us to the Party!!! A party like none other - and when we arrive what awaits is so magnificent and glorious and beautiful and precious and pure that it will render us speechless, but only for a second and then...

Abba Father, Praise and Glory to Thee - our Creator, our Potter, our Shepherd, our Strong Tower, our King of kings and Lord of lords, the Alpha and Omega. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today and each day forward her life will be overflowing with Your Everything. May her doubts and fears and anxieties and worries be nullified by Your Promises of Hope and Joy and Love and Peace. May her thoughts and actions glorify You and may Your Beauty reside in and through and over her mind, body and soul. I ask in the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Blessings of Beauty,

Missing Out on Something Big

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Do you ever feel that you are missing out on something big? Do you look around at family or friends or maybe even strangers and wonder why things are happening in their lives but you remain the same? Do you feel like your days are rushing by with nothing being accomplished?

Well dear and precious sister-in-Christ..., I'm herre to say, "Wait for It" and with these two verses as my premise:

Isaiah 64:4 and 1 Cor. 2:9 - You probably know them by heart but yet it is the heart and the mind that have yet to digest the truth and promises of these precious words.

In the old testament - Isaiah was told, "For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You. Who acts in behalf of the one who WAITS for Him."

In the new testament - Paul states, "but just as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who Love Him.""

Yes, just know that if you are feeling like you are missing out on something big it might just be that God's Timing for your life is worth the waiting. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it and why you need it.

Let us unite in prayer:

Abba Father, thank You for Your perfect timing in our lives. Thank You for your words of comfort and yet at the same time expectation. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she settle the matter in her heart and mind to wait. Lord give her the wisdom to know when, give her the peace to persevere, give her the confidence to stand firm in her Faith. I ask in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Waiting,

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

A couple of days ago, while reading my devotional, a verse caught my attention - Ecclesiastes 3:1, "There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven--"

This most definitely is a WOW statement for me because... 1) I doubt, 2) I question, and 3) I ponder, on so many "events" in the course of my day or week or month or even a year.

Which lends me to thinking... This is a truth and a promise... No matter the event it has "an appointed time" and "there is a time for every event."

The verses following are so well known, in fact, there is a song which was popular in the '70's about these verses.

The importance of TIME (an indefinite period), God's Time!!!

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee, thank You that You are Sovereign and Supreme. Thank You that our days lived out are Yours, thank You that our "events" in life are known by Thee and You are in Control. Lord, may each dear and precious sister-in-Christ grasp the Goodness of Thee and the Love of Thee that she boldly walk with You each day of her life and for each "event", whether joyous or painful, she remember Your truth and Your Promises. In times of pain draw her closer to Thee, in times of Joy draw her closer to Thee. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Blessings,

Replacing Batteries - Being Recharged

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I received notification on my computer that I was down by 30% on my batteries for my keyboard and have them replaced soon. I thought that I had some time, but...

You would think that with 30% of battery life left that I did have a few days at least, well...

This got me to thinking... If my keyboard quits working at 30% life left how about me? And how about you? Are we running on 30% and thinking we have time to deal with this or keep going or take care of it later?

So how about we do some replacing of our batteries today by going before the Lord in prayer!!!

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee our most Sovereign and Righteous and Holy God. Thank you Father for Loving us so tenderly and intimately. Thank You for Your tenderest of mercies, Your Son, Your Glory, Your Magnificence, Your Beauty, Your Majesty. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today she would set aside some time to worship You and be still before You and in humble adoration sing praises to Your Name and allow herself to be drenched in Your Love and Peace and Hope and Joy. May she be recharged once again by Your Holy Spirit. May she ask of You and seek You and Knock loudly and Your Promises of if we ask in Your Name we receive and when we Seek You, You will be found and when we Knock You will open wide. I pray all these things in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Replacing Batteries and Being Recharged,
