Having A Spa Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The end of the first month of 2019 and I am in need of a spa day. Yes, and what better way than to be lavished by the LORD.

He is "Making me lie down in green pastures and leading me beside still waters". Imagine lying down in lush green pastures and listening to the still waters beside you.

Now He is anointing you with His Spirit and healing balm of Gilead. While He is doing that you begin to hear the precious song that He is singing over you and then your ears hear the sweet whispers of His Love.

While you begin to settle your mind and body and soul, He allows this time of being in the secret place as a time set aside for you alone. You are His most beloved and while you wait upon Him may His Presence be known.

Ah, our Creator and Sovereign Lord, how glorious thou art that each day is a new day and with that comes the tender mercies and the blessings untold. Thank you Lord for your faithfulness and gentleness and kindness bestowed upon each dear and precious sister-in-Christ. I pray that each day is a "spa day" in her life. In the precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, Amen.

Quilts on Display

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I've taken on a new task, working at our local Art Center. It is a place of wonder that feeds my senses with colors and designs and ideas and dreams and joy. Yes, joy!! This week the display is "quilts". As I survey at a distance each one displayed they each have a story to tell. Each design and color of the quilt draws me into so many different sensations. My thinking and dreaming go into overdrive. I must only allow myself to linger for a short time at each one or else I would be there 24/7.

As I look at all the different colors and designs I question its beauty at first. Questions, how did the person think to put those colors together? how did they come up with that configuration?

A quilt is like a person, each unique it is flair and flavor. Yes, we are living quilts, our lives are stitched together in the most amazing of ways. Oh how I love that the Lord places us in the middle of something or in the corner or even at the bottom. We are quietly and beautifully being placed into His Image.

What a magnificent and glorious quilt we are!

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee. May we rejoice in this day knowing that it has already been planned and purposed. This day being lived out is a unique day just fitted for us. You have fashioned us and our lives are on display in the world. May Your beauty be evident in our lives as we live out our lives. How uniquely You have made each one of us. And just like a quilt with its colors arranged so beautifully and its design so very unique that only You have created it. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that it be a day where she rests in the Knowing that You are her Lord. In the precious Name of Jesus the name above all names, Amen.

Psalm 119:130

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Sometimes I need just a little bit of imagination and inspiration for my posts and I go to my bookcase... well this morning such was the case. I selected, "Passages of Light, selected scriptures with Reflection by Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light." The scripture provided, Psalm 119:130, "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple."; the painting was of a stone step entrance into a lush garden, the iron gate opened, inviting anyone to enter. My thoughts... what if each time that I opened up the word of God it was like walking into a lush garden or another thought, to see the Word as an entrance to a lighted pathway.

With so much negativity surrounding us how about we take a few moments today and imagine that what awaits us as we open up His Word is a lush garden that fills us to the the brim with sweetness and purity and our dryness is drenched in the watery air. There is a silence that feeds the soul and fills your senses with a refreshing essence of Him. As you walk along the lighted path which His word gives there is a peace which passes all understanding.

I hope that you will linger for a while and receive His Love.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee, oh How rich and tender are Your Mercies. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today she would be overwhelmed by Your Words, that as she asks and seeks and knocks that she would see that "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple," and rise up and be bold in knowing that she is Loved and Adored and forever and ever being Embraced by the Sovereign LORD. I pray in the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Let The Symphony Begin

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Are you still trying to welcome in 2019? Me too!! So let's begin with Praising Him and of course what is needed is musical instruments of all kinds. Let's take up our instruments and begin --

Psalm 150:1-6

PRAISE THE LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everyone that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!

Abba Father, thank You above all things and what ever instrument you have placed in our Spirit may we continually Praise thee. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would rise every morning with praises upon her lips. Thank you that You have anointed, gifted, and planted an instrument in her life to use in praising You. I pray all this in the precious name of Jesus the name above all names. Amen.

Blessed New Year - 2019

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This being the second day of the new year how wonderful to be able to spend the time this morning with all of you. I hope that each new day of this year is filled with Him.

Yes, with Him, in the midst of all the moments of work and play and silence and chaos that He is at the forefront of your day.

Beginning the day with prayer!!

Just as each day is lived; there are days when you are rushed and out the door you go, that is when you cry out for green lights only and for a parking place. There are days when you are sick and you cry out that you be healed quickly so that you can resume your so called normal life. There are days when you are able to make your cup of tea or coffee, the responsibilities of the day are not there and you find yourself in silence and you have more time to spend with Him.

Yes, I do pray that each day and night of 2019 be blessed with Him and that each moment spent with Him is blessed. Our lives are filled with so much that without Him it is impossible to deal with even a single moment.

Abba Father, Praise to thee, thank You for bringing us this far, thank You for the gardens and meadows of our lives. Thank You for the valleys and the gullies of our lives. Thank You for the mountain tops and the plateaus of our lives. Yes, each twenty-four hour day, both the day and the night, are times that You sing a song over us, embrace us with Your Presence, shower us with Your Love, delight in us, guide us, and direct us. Lord I ask in the Precious Name of Jesus that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be blessed each day of 2019.
