Thanksgiving - Psalm 40:5

Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The flickering flame of the candle mesmerizes me as it probably does for hundreds of others. Each flicker seems to cry out into the darkness of the room telling it that it is no longer something that can be hidden. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and this Thanksgiving I desire that all of you would Trust and Know and Be Still and Wait. And in the trusting and knowing and being still and waiting may these precious words be heard from your lips, "Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts towards us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count." (Psalm 40:5)

Yes, this is our LORD, the One who is the Light of the World. At times it seems that it is only a small flickering flame as you traverse through danger and distress and at times that flame is like a raging fire which brings a passion to your soul and then at times it is a comforting campsite fire that keeps you warm through the night.

Abba Father, Praise thee and Thank you. There are no words for if I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to count. Oh Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ for this Thanksgiving season that she would trust and know and be still and wait all the while giving You all the glory and praise. As they are with family and friends either in their physical presence or from afar may they give thanks to the One who dispels the darkness and is the Light. In the precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, Amen.

Embracing That Which Has Already Been Given,
