2 Peter 1:4 Exceedingly Great and Precious Promises

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The first of November, a month of Thanksgiving traditionally, so with that thought in mind... Last night as I was reading my devotional, "Daily Light", by Baxter/Lotz, the last bible verse quoted, 2 Peter 1:4, "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust". The words that caught my attention as I closed my book was, "Thank You Lord for these exceedinly Great and Precious Promises." Yes, the Lord blesses us each day and yes He creates each new day for us and in that day is filled all of His most tenderest of mercies. In light of all that is happening in our world, especially this year, I am asking of our Lord today...

Abba Father, How Magnificent and Glorious art Thou. Praise to thee oh most Sovereign Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that this whole month of new days, which You have planned and purposed since the beginning of the foundations of the world, be filled with eye-opening and ear-sharpening moments that each one will be able to see You and to hear Your Songs and Whispers in the morning and at night. May each one be swept up into Your Presence during the quietness of the day. May each one be still in Your Presence for You have given each one "exceedingly great and precious promises". In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Embracing That Which Has Already Been Given,

LyndiaSue
