Joshua

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Thinking of moments is our lives and remembered one of my favorite men of the bible. Joshua whom God appointed to lead Israel into the promised land. His introduction was in the book Exodus and was completed in the book of Joshua.

How marvelous are God's plans for you. Just like with Joshua who was faithful in the beginning and remained throughtout his life, you are the same for God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Only God knows our hearts and He keeps His eye upon thee. You have a beginning and an end and all the in between is laid out so beautifully in God's eyes.

Abba Father, Praise thee and thank thee that You alone are our Sovereign LORD who knows our hearts and keeps Your eye upon us. Lord just as with Joshua may we be faithful and trust in Your leading and direction in our lives and wait upon thee. Lord, Your most sacred timing in our lives we seek today. I pray that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ would be faithful in her walk with thee. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalm 9: 1 and 2 - Food For Thought

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

At Easter my husband was on the mainland visiting our daughter and her family. He got a special little gift in his Easter basket and since I wasn't there my daughter had him bring my little gift home. It was a small cloth bag and printed on the front was "Food for Thought". Inside was the little gift which was just right for me.

This morning preparing for this posting I glanced down and the little bag caught my attention because of the words printed on the front.

Going to the WORD of God - Psalm 9 verses 1 and 2, "I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart. I will tell of all your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name O Most High."

Ah, precious WORDS, consider it FOOD for the soul, JESUS the bread of Life. Yes, LORD, Your Precious Word is FOOD and may our thoughts be captivated by thee sustaining us and restoring us and strengthening us and healing us.

Abba Father, may we desire the MEAT of Your Word. May each dear and precious sister-in-Christ take delight in Your WORD and may her thoughts of You be her food which sustains her and keeps her throughtout her day and week.
In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Talking to God

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I was talking to my son who is driving home to Virginia from Rangely Colorado where he needed to be with his father because his dad (Grandpaw) just passed away. Since he has been on the road for two days already I try to check in with him while he is on the road. During part of the conversation he said, "I love that my daughter and I can have an outer monologue." I like that!

In my talking to God sometimes its an inner monologue and at other times it is an outer monologue. When I read the WORD of God He is the same. Sometimes its an inner monologue and other times it is an outer monologue.

I pray that whether it is an inner or outer monologue just keep talking to God.

Abba Father, thank You and Praise You that we can come to You ALL the time. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that in her everyday life that the most important thing that she does is talking to You, the Creator of ALL things, the Sovereign Lord, the Omnipotent One. LORD, may Your Grace abound in their lives and may the conversations be blessed. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Scents

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

We each have a different scent given to us - I just took off of my bookshelf a book that caught my attention and have referenced it a few times - "The Language of Flowers" by Sheila Pickles, publishers Harmony Books, New York.

I leafed through the pages looking for an inspirational flower to reference, however none jumped out at me. I got to the last page - The author wrote this, "The Language of Flowers has been scented for your pleasure with Violetta", ... and "Ever since the time of the Ancient Greeks the Violet has been recognized as something rare and desirable."

I picked up the book and even after several years of being on the bookshelf the pages still have the scent. Isn't that amazing!!! If man can place a scent on paper that lingers for a long time how much more God can do when He places His Heavenly Fragrance upon us. The fragrance of Jesus which permeates the soul of a person is far better than any manmade or nature made scent.

Yes, you do have a scent which others can smell and as a precious child of God it is one that excites, calms, soothes, delights, and inspires others. This is a gift from our Loving Father.

Abba Father, Precious Lord, Holy Counselor, Praise and Glory and Honor. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that today as she performs her duties or sits with friends or is alone with You may Your Fragrance pour forth and may she be used by You to bring Glory to Your Name in every area of her life. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.
