Joshua

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Oh how wonderful to be able to celebrate the end of this year with my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ. This year for me has been filled with very mixed emotions. Each day was truly a walk in faith. Some situations and circumstances arose so suddenly that I did not have time to prepare, isn't that the way life goes though. This year I did something very scary for me - I decided to challenge myself. My daughter facilitated a group called "The Artist Way" and I was one of the nine members who participated online. Just before that God had placed me in a situation that needed to be faced head on - I could not ignore it - it was not going to go away. So I surrendered what little of myself I had to Him and began to not trust in the self but to cry out to Him. Once I did He began to bring about the most amazing of things - things that left me speechless and in Awe of Him. Things that only He could create and in the creating of it He packed more than enough. Yes, 2014, is soon coming to an end and 2015 will begin. The sun will come up and the Lord will fill our days with tender mercies.

Abba Father, we lift up holy hands to thee and worship thee alone, our Sovereign Lord. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ this day and for the days ahead that she would be filled to the brim and overflowing with all of You. May it be a Joshua year. She has waited, she has kept the faith, she has trusted and now direct her steps to walk more boldly and ask for the BIG and to seek the IMPOSSIBLE and to knock and keep knocking. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Blessed Christmas John 1:1 & John 1:29b

Blessed Christmas dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" John 1:1, and "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29b

Two favorite verses, which testify to the greatness of Jesus's birth. As we celebrate his birth tomorrow may these two verses resound in our hearts once again as to why we as sisters-in-Christ come together to give glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Greg and I are spending Christmas day with friends and we wil be talking to family on the phone. I pray for all of you that tonight's Christmas Eve's services are a reminder once again of Him, through the worship and the performances of songs and skits, may many who attend leave knowing how deeply loved and cherished they are.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee. Thank you oh most Sovereign Lord for who You are. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would enjoy each song sung and each word spoken that gives praises to Jesus. Jesus our Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Jesus oh sweet Jesus how we love thee. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Deep Things of God

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Two things happened this past weekend that I would like to share - the first being a visit to the hospital. My boss was involved in a one car accident that was very serious. The car was totalled and her body was bruised and battered a lot. I had already seen the car before I got a chance to see her lying in the hospital bed. From the looks of the car it was a miracle that she was alive. This happened on Tuesday morning and we went to see her on Saturday. She was in a chemically induced coma so she could heal from her injuries. As I looked at her I said, "you have to wake up now, I know it is going to be painful but you have a lot to do yet." I knew that this was the right thing to say to her. I touched her body and kissed her forehead and told her once again to wake up. Yesterday she woke up. Praise you Lord.

The other had to do with my car - we had leased a new mini cooper in August and for some reason I had not taken care of the vehicle, by that I mean washing and cleaning both the inside and outside. The previous mini was properly taken care of once a month. He (I had named the car Fedele, which means faithful in Italian) was getting very dirty and I was a little embarressed to have anyone ride in it. My husband had also remarked about the fact that the car was so very dirty. On Saturday morning after my walk I decided that it needed to be really cleaned and vacuumed. It was when I touched the hood of the car that I realized I had never really thought that this car was actually a gift from God. The instant my hand touched the hood, that touch alone seemed to radiate through my body and I knew then that God was showing me something. I touched all of the car and prayed thanking the Lord for this gift.

Yes, God's touch - whether a human body or an object - it is still so glorious. It is one of the deep things of God. "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God" (I Cor 2:10) Who can fathom? Who can grasp? Who can know?

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee my Sovereign Lord, thank You oh LORD for Your Goodness and Mercy. Lord I pray for each dear and preicous sister-in-Christ that she would feel your touch upon her as she walks with You and as she talks with You. May each step taken be a step closer to You and may each word spoken be a pleasing sound to Your ears. Lord bless each one today and may Your Spirit come and reveal the deep things of You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God's Blanket

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The Association has delivered the poinsettia to the house, the tree has been decorated and other Christmas decorations have been placed around the house. It is getting a little chillier at night so an extra throw blanket has been placed on the bed, which is very comforting. The weight of the blanket seems to be very comforting also.

I realize that this is a little late this morning and will be keeping it short. My prayer for this morning -

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee for all the wonderful blessings that you pour into our lives each and every day and night. Thank you for the 24 hours of our lives. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that your blanket of Peace and Love and Joy and Hope surround her this day and this week. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Night's Sky - Preparing for Christmas

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I have taken down the Thanksgiving decorations, had the last of the turkey and am now preparing the house for the Christmas decorations.

There are two or three items that can only be found at Walmart so a couple weeks ago I decided that I would brave the crowds and just go do it and get it over with. As I wondered around in the aisles trying to find my few items, in the midst of the Christmas decorations; I just happened to go an aisle that had no one in it. I stopped in the middle of the aisle and began to listen to the music. As I listened the memories of Christmas's past began to come to my mind. I quieted myself and stood there through that song and into the next before moving on.

The past two mornings I have been going out early to look at the night's sky and just as the shepherds so long ago, who were keeping watch over their flock by night, I too am looking up into the night's sky as I begin my Christmas season.

Abba Father, Glory and Honor and Praise to thee. LORD as each dear and precious sister-in-Christ lives out her minutes and hours of this day and week may her preparing for Christmas season be one filled with the quietness of the night sky. May You draw her unto You and embrace her with Your Love. In Jesus Name, Amen.
