Psalm 51:1-4

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Already this is the end of July where has all the days gone?

I normally do not walk on Wednesday mornings but today I did. At the end of my street a Plumeria tree grows and day before yesterday I saw that a limb (huge) had broken off and today it was completely detached from the tree. I looked at the flowers and some, which had started to bloom, I plucked from the tree. I wanted to give them a chance to bloom. Continuing on I walked into another cup-de-sac and noticed a small cardboard box upside down and a rock had been placed on top of it. There were words written on the box, so me thinking that it was a directional sign for a garage sale, well as I got closer the words written were, "pick up your dog's poop"

What is seemingly two unrelated events seem to come together with these four verses, "Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge."

Yes, He is the vine and when I have detached myself from the Vine, my life becomes unfruitful.

The signage on the cardboard box, if I do not take the responsibility of picking up my dog's poop then it becomes someone's else concern causing them to grumble and be unhappy at the dog and the owner of the dog.

Oh sin, how insidious a thing that it is. I am so thankful for God's unfailing love and for His great compassion which blots out my transgressions.

Abba Father, I pray today for Your unfailing love and Your great compassion to flow through the lives of these dear and precious sisters-in-Christ. Lord may their hearts cry unto You be to - "wash away my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." Lord God how glorious and magnificent art thou. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Twelve Week Adventure

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I am into day 4 of week 2 of a 12 week adventure named The Artist's Way" Creativity as a Spiritual Practice by Julia Cameron. Each week has a chapter to read with assigned tasks to complete during the week. One of the tasks for this week is to draw a circle and inside that circle add names of those you find to be supportive.

As I prepared to do this posting I knew that your name needed to be added - for without your prayers and encouraging words and inspiring thoughts there is no way that I could or even would have thought that the Lord would allow me to continue writing (praying) these posts year after year after year. Thank you dear and precious sisters-in-Christ.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory to thy name. oh Most Sovereign Creator, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would be filled with Your Presence and be so overwhelmed by Your Love that her eyes would be opened to Your beauty, that her ears would be opened to Your Voice, that her mouth would be opened wide and filled with the Bread of Life, that her hands would be high and lifted up in praise to thee, that her heart would be draw to Your Love and that her mind would be filled with the knowledge of thee. Lord may she be hugged by thee today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God's Reply - Job 4 9-11

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

God places us - do you believe that? Sometimes I do question? Especially when it comes to situations which bring on stress - and yet in reading today's verses there is a lesson to be learned.

The verses read, "And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?"

I have written in my bible under these 2 verses, What is God's agenda in my life? with the scripture reference of Hebrews 4:13, which reads, "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everthing is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." And then I have written: thoughts, attitudes, actions.

I am in need of revisiting this place again.

Abba Father thank you have you have placed me here. Oh LORD I pray for each sister-in-Christ today that she would live out her walk with you in boldness and ask, seek and knock for Your blessed assurances in her life. May her walk with you today be filled with Your Peace which passes all understanding and may that Peace given to her be sent forth so that her encounters today will be blessed richly and may You be glorified in her life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Isaiah 43:1b-4

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I pulled from the bookshelf a little leather-bound booklet, "Passages of Light" Selected Scriptures with Reflections by Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light - opened it to the page which has presented to and from and date. I had filled in my name on the line presented to, filled in the Holy Spirit on the line from and the date I had purchased was 9/24/01. Now this would have been shortly after we had arrived on the Island because this was going to be our home for at least the next 5 years. My husband and I had decided that was as far as we were willing to go in trying to plan out our future. After the first 5 year plan we decided that it was best to go with 3 year plan and now it is down to a yearly plan.

As I turned the pages of the booklet, my attention was drawn to one of the paintings (a slow moving river about 3 feet across with trees and foliage and rocks on either side of the banks) and the verse that he quoted to go with the painting was Isaiah 43:1b-4.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you... For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;...Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, and I have loved you."

I'm going to keep this little booklet with me for awhile - I need to be reminded at all times of His mercy and grace and love which abounds in the most amazing of way.

Abba Father, thank you that you have redeemed me and have called me by my name and that You are mine. Thank you that when I pass through waters that are at flood stage, or waters that are so bitterly cold or waters that are raging and the sound is so deafening that You promise they will not overflow me. Thank you oh most Sovereign LORD that you are my God who is the Holy One of Israel my Savior and praise You that You look at me and I am precious in Your sight and I have been honored and that You Love me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Dear sisters-in-Christ this is my prayer for all of you as you walk out the days of your lives. You are precious and honored and loved by HIM.

Psalm 27:13-14

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Can you believe it we are already in the month of July? My grandmother in law used to say that when the 4th of July was celebrated then the months til Thanksgiving and Christmas was like a breath away.

The two verses for today, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." This being a Psalm of David, how he must have had to wait and wait and wait.

It is hard to wait when the world around you is moving at such a rapid pace. Where each moment of your time is spent doing or going or thinking.

Abba Father, praise and glory to thee oh most Sovereign Lord for You draw us unto you and when you had seen that I had fainted, You stirred my heart to believe to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Oh Lord God that indeed we live in the land of the living. We are alive and it is by the grace of God that we alive. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she wait on YOU and be of good courage, and then You will strengthen her heart. Oh dear and precious ones WAIT, I say, on the LORD. In Jesus Name, Amen.
