Blessed Thanksgiving - Job 38:1 and Job 40:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving - a day for gatherings of families and friends and being thankful for all that you have been blessed with; so you are probably wondering why I have titled this with the bible reference of Job 38:1, "Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,..." and Job 40:1, "Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,..."

Oh most precious and dear sisters-in-Christ, as you think about all the reasons to be thankful, mine would have to be this, "Then the LORD answered (insert your name) out of the whirlwind, and said,...

Our Sovereign Lord, speaks!! He speaks in the whirlwind of our lives when our very being has been tossed with such velocity that we cannot stand up against it any longer and when once it is heard you are completely and utterly undone. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for the little things that have occurred in my life without me even realizing that the impact of them have actually been treasures that are being stored in Heaven.

Abba Father, Thank you that You Speak in the most amazing of ways, I pray for each sister-in-Christ today that she hear Your Voice for it is the sweetest sound. Oh how I love to hear Your Voice. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Searching the Scriptures

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Another Wednesday is upon us, for me it is just beginning for it is only 6:00 in the morning. Before I began this post I took a short walk around the cul-de-sac looking up into the predawn sky at the stars and moon and listening to the waves pounding on the shore. I was asking God what I should write and pray about this Wednesday morning. I began to search the scriptures hoping that He would direct me to a truth and a promise that would touch the heart of you. Yes, you, the one reading this post. The Lord led me to the gospel of John, chapter 17:1, "These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said,...

Precious sisters-in-Christ I would hope that you would read the chapter and hear the words of Jesus, his prayer to the Father.

Oh the privilege that we have to come before the throne of the most Sovereign God and speak words to Him.

Lifting my eyes to heaven - Heavenly Father, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (verse 17), thank You my Abba Father. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Crackling of the Flame

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I am sitting here at my computer with my fingers upon the keyboard listening to the crackling of the lit candle on the bookcase beside me. Why it caught my attention was because of the crackling sound which reminded me of the times we (usually my dad and me) sat around the campfires at night and listened to the crackling of the fire lulling us into a place of calmness. I could sit by the fire for a long time just listening and watching the flame.

Abba Father, Praise to thee our Sovereign Lord and Righteous God, Thank you for Your most Precious Gifts given freely to us this day. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that the Holy Spirit would come and ignite the flame once again in the ember which is almost out. May Your Breath flame the ember of Love which has almost been extinguished due to hurtful words spoken, may Your Breath flame the ember of Hope which has almost been extinguished due to unfulfilled dreams, may Your Breath flame the ember of Joy which has almost been extinguished due to grief and loss, and may Your Breath flame the ember of Peace which has almost been extinguished by the overwhelming storms of life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Ezekiel 1:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Ezekiel 1:1 Yesterday morning, in my one year bible reading plan this passage was the first thing that I read and it was the only verse that I could read before the Lord started to talk to my heart. Oh the excitement I had with just that first verse. It was the first five words which caught my attention, "Now it came to pass", those five words, so powerful...

Precious sisters-in-Christ I pray that God's Word, when read or heard, takes Your Breath Away, captures your heart, ignites a passion deep within and inspires you to let go of the things of this world and take hold of that which satisfies the soul. In Jesus Name, Amen.
