Morning Walks

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

My morning routine is usually - awake by 5:30 am and out the door by 6:00 am for my morning walk. There are two routes that I usually take: One is long and scenic the other is shorter and on the highway with traffic noises. Some days I take my iPod (shuffle) and listen to the classical and worship songs, other days my phone and either listen to podcasts of my favorite sermons or talk to family and friends on the mainland and on other days I take nothing at all. On the days that I listen to the iPod it is usually the more scenic route. It is more private and I end up dancing in the street which is so great to do. I usually do not go on Wednesday mornings - typically it is reserved for my posting. Today was an exception - I decided to take a short walk and listen. As I tried to quiet my mind of all the different desires and wants and needs I caught myself saying, "Is this really what you want or desire or need?" My response was, "Lord, I want Your Will To Be Done".

Abba Father, Praise thee and thank You oh Most Sovereign Lord, coming before Your throne of Grace this day I ask that for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ to be blessed by Your Written Word,

Titus 2:11-14 " The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, and that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works."

Wait For It

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Another Wednesday has come and I come before you this day with wonderings of how the Lord is richly blessing all of you. His Faithfulness and Goodness sustains me all day long and His revelations of the marvelous things to come continually have me in a place where I need to wait upon Him. How amazing that He knows me so well that in the midst of my excitement He also tells me to Wait for it. Ah, LORD I chose to wait in expectancy for Your Glory.

Abba Father, how Gracious and GOOD art thou, thank you for Your faithfulness and gentleness in the midst of our hectic lives. Lord I pray for each precious and dear sister-in-Christ that this would be a day filled with such JOY and PEACE that she would know her GOD is MORE than enough, BIG enough, RICH enough, and WORTHY enough to TRUST and BELIEVE that it is in the waiting for it that YOU alone KEEP her. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Happy Lei Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Today being the first of May is Lei Day here in Hawaii. The Hawaiian Lei is given for all different occasions and today I would like to share an event that happened in 2001. My husband and I had just arrived on the Big Island and were considering making this our permanent home in March of 2001. On one of our morning walks I noticed a banner inviting women to attend a Kona wide Women's Conference starting on Friday afternoon and going until Sunday. I walked in and asked if I could attend any of the services, I selected the Saturday night. I'm sure that the speaker was good and the worship was good but the memory that has stayed with me all this time is when we were all given leis and walked out onto the lava rock on the ocean shore and placing the leis in the ocean a prayer was lifted up to the Sovereign Lord, Lord may this island, the Big Island of Hawaii, be an island of healing. We stood and watched as the leis floated out to sea.

Abba Father, our Great and Sovereign Lord, may the sweet fragrance of Jesus go forth on this day and may each sister-in-Christ be anointed with Your healing touch. Oh LORD of the Harvest, may her eyes see Your Glory, may her ears hear Your Voice, may she smell the richness of Your Grace, may her hands be anointed that when she touches people they would sense a power so wonderful that they desire to know You. And Lord may she have the mind of Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.
