Count Your Blessings

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Do you recall the old Sunday school song, count your blessings, name them one by one? I awoke this morning with that song in my head. So for starters - 24-the number of hours in this day, 2-the number of eyes to see, ears to hear, hands to feel, and feet to step or dance or stand. I took a walk this morning around my yard, my husband had potted and repotted some seedlings and plants yesterday and I was surveying the new additions to our garden. I have to admit sometimes I do have a critical eye for his putting away of things, definitely it is not how I would define it. He did a marvelous job!! Another blessing. Spring is here!!

Abba Father, Praise thee for Your Tender Mercies poured into our lives this day. Thank you for countless blessings. Lord as each dear and precious sister-in-Christ walks through her day I pray that she would use her eyes to see Your beauty, her ears to hear Your Whispers, her hands to touch those things more precious than gold and her feet to walk upon Your holy ground spreading peace throughout. Oh Lord may Your Promises be upon her lips as she testifies of Your Greatness and Holiness and Truth. In Jesus Name, Amen.

He Is Sovereign

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I'm sitting here with a fresh cup of hot tea ready to spend the next few moments with all of you. I'm sure that everyone of you have been traumatized in some way or another with the sights and sounds of the devastation which occurred on 3/11/11. As I watched the events unfold on the television I was stunned to the core. I do not know how many of you read the "Left Behind Series", I did and as much as they tried to graphically portray the destruction it did not tell it all. Oh the power of our God who saves to the uttermost. He is Sovereign. He is reaching into the hearts of all those who now will have to deal with the grief and sorrow of losing everything and when He touches the heart that heart will be comforted, that heart will be blessed and that heart will be at peace.

Abba Father, Gracious and Mighty Lord, how Great is Your Power. Praise thee oh Lord that You are a marvelous and awesome God who always and in all ways takes that which was meant for evil and makes it good according to the riches in Christ Jesus. Lord You have allowed this but just like with Job You know the hearts of every soul touched by this. Lord I pray for each and every dear sister-in-Christ in Japan for a special blessing of Faith to persevere during this time. I pray for each and every dear sister-in-Christ that as the events continue to unfold that she will cling to her God knowing that He is a God who infinitely and eternally loves us no matter what! Oh Lord God, E Komo Mai, the hearts today and fill them with Your Presence to still their hearts. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Role Playing - Is This A Test

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I do not know if you have had the chance to be in a class or seminar when the instructor announces, " we are going to do some role playing today", he/she explains that there will be a few scenario's presented and then will be break into groups of (whatever number) and each will take turns playing out the scene. Do you feel that you are role playing out your real life? I have to admit at times it feels that way to me. I will play out the situation in my mind leading me to fret and worry. Of late, I have come to realize that my role playing doesn't always (probably never) lines up with God's Will. Until I completely surrender the scenario over to Him he will allow me to role play as long as I want. God is Faithful and Good and Kind His directing is never a "what if" scenario.

Abba Father, Praise thee that You are in control of each of our lives, that You are Sovereign. Lord all that is good and kind and gentle and beautiful and amazing and lovely comes from You. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would be filled with Your Joy, Your Hope, and Your Love at all times and all ways. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord You Direct My Life,

The Good News

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

My life has been filled with so much turmoil lately that I had even wondered if I wanted to hear another conversation from someone. News of hurt feelings and sickness and diseases which were non-curable to terminal. These last few weeks have been very interesting to say the least.

In going before Abba Father each morning with these prayers I began to question? And as I questioned just how to pray for each instance... He answered this morning with these words.

As I am waking up I am walking with the Lord beside me and we are passing opened doors. I see within the rooms people suffering, wars and destruction, he tells me to keep walking... As we get to the end door, it is open and I feel the peace and the light and the joy and hope. I do not have to ask - His response. "This is what is important."

Salvation, eternity in Heaven, Your name written in the Book of Life. It is a choice that we make while we still have our breath on earth. And once we make the choice to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior it does not matter our circumstances or our situations or even our prognosis. We are a child of the most AWESOME GOD who is all the GOODNESS and KINDNESS and FAITHFUL.

Abba Father, draw each of these precious sisters-in-Christ unto You in the most amazing of ways for you alone are the one who creates. The one who speaks and it is so. The one who touches and it is whole. The one who gave his only Son to die on the Cross that we would no longer be separated from You. Lord, thank You for this day which You have made. I choose to be glad and to rejoice in it. In Jesus Name, Amen.
