The Stillness of the Night

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Upon retiring the last couple of nights I have stepped outside to smell the coolness of the air and to listen to the ocean waves. Both nights reminded me of the late spring early summer nights that I had growing up in Montana. The nights when after sunset and late into the evening I would sit on the back step or on the lawn. It would be so quiet that you could hear the night crawlers starting to come to the surface. Yes, those kind of nights where the stillness is AWESOME. Oh, how Sovereign is Our LORD for the stillness of the night.

Abba Father, wrapped in Your Love where none can touch or harm, Praise You. Wrapped in Your Peace where none can uproot or disturb, Praise You. Wrapped in Your Power where none can overtake or destroy, Hallelujah. Wrapped in Your Presence where none can remove. Oh most Holy GOD, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would be wrapped in Your Love and Peace and Power an Presence and forever more remain in Your stillness which is AWESOME. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Being Wrapped,

Don't Blink - You Might Miss It

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Our God is so Good. I am in Awe of how mightily He loves. The seed is planted and goes unnoticed because it is buried deep within and as you look each day it seems that nothing is happening and then all of a sudden it was as if you had blinked and missed it because it just suddenly appears. O, most Sovereign Lord how you richly bless in so many ways and yet it is as if we blinked and missed it and we just keep going forgetting that You are the one to be glorified in every way and in every circumstance.

Abba, Father, thank You and praise You for Your Goodness and Mercy and Grace. How richly You bless Your children. Lord I pray for each sister-in-Christ this day and in the days ahead that she would come before Your Throne of Grace and not blink. Open her eyes to see Your Glory and may she take what she has seen and begin to Praise thee from deep within and forever by changed. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Trying Not to Blink,

A Memory - Gramma Jesse

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I awoke this morning thinking of someone that I had not thought about in years. It was my Gramma Jesse. Now she was my paternal grandfather's second wife. A much younger woman and quite the topic of discussions for years in our family. When all of my dad's brothers and sisters got together there were two sides of the camp on who was actually the one who had the right to be called gramma. All of us cousins just couldn't ever figure out what the problem was, we had two grammas. I don't know which cousin started using their first names to keep the peace but it stuck and it didn't seem to be a problem. Also there seemed to be less talk among the parents as to who should rightfully be called gramma.

Heavenly Father, thank you for Your most wonderful tender mercies and for Your Faithfulness. Lord I thank you that it is with childlike faith that we must come to You and in that childlike faith You embrace us. My prayer for each dear sister-in-Christ today and in the days ahead that she would come to You in childlike faith and JUST KNOW that she is Loved totally and completely and unconditionally by the great I AM, Jehovah, GOD. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I love being LOVED,

Are You a Martha or Mary or Psalm 31 Mom?

Greetings dearest and most precious sisters-in-Christ,

Sunday being Mother's Day I thought I would get a little personal and write about my mom and being a mom. Since all of us have or had a mom you can fill in your own responses. As for me -

My mom can outdo me in all things - she is simply amazing in all that she does and the love that she gives is beautiful.

Being a mom - at all times I have thrown in the towel and surrendered. LORD, what do I do now? And that is how I got this far!

Abba Father, thank you that I have been blessed with a wonderful mom and thank you that I have been blessed with three marvelous children to raise and nurture in Your Strength alone. Thank you that I will see my precious child that I lost, one day in heaven. LORD I pray for each precious sister-in-Christ today - may she know that being a woman of God is Your desire whether she is blessed to have children of her own or still waiting and praying for a child. Oh Lord for those who have lost a child I pray that one day she will know the answer to the "why". Lord I pray for Your JOY and Your LOVE to abide in their hearts and minds and souls this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until Next Week,
