Jeremiah 17:7, 8

Greetings to all my dear friends and sisters-in-Christ,

Isn't it marvelous that God has made it possible that we are able to greet each other as dear friends and then also have a relationship with Jesus that we are sisters-in-Christ. I never had a sister so it is even more special to me that I am able to have so many sisters to fellowship with. Today I was lead to Jeremiah 17:7, 8

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And who hope is the LORD,
For he shall be like a tree
planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious
in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit."

My prayer for all my dear friends and sisters-in-Christ for today -

Heavenly Father, Almighty and Magnificent God in Heaven who
Loves us, thank you for this verse You have brought to my attention this morning. Thank you for Your promise of blessing the man who trusts in thee and whose hope is thee. Oh Lord I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that she would be like a tree planted by the waters, that she will have her roots spread out, that she not fear when heat comes; and that her leaf (that which grows from her, the visible things in her life) will be green (will be healthy) and that she will not be anxious in the year of drought (trials and darkness and temptations), nor will cease from yielding fruit (may she grow in grace more and more each day)." In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,

May God pour into and over You His Blessings,

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ.

My Special Road

Dear sisters-in-Christ, Good day to all of you and so glad that you are lingering awhile and while you do - know that our Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

This picture is of a road entering Old Koloa Town, Kauai, Hawaii. My first sight of this road was in 1991 when our family traveled together (and that is a whole different story that I could share for hours). In 1991 as we first entered this lane I was awestruck by the sheer wonder of it. And in just doing that I encountered Jesus traveling with me through this tunnel. I bought a postcard with this road and have it on my refrigerator. We visited Kauai several times after that and when we (dh and me) decided to retire and relocate to Hawaii our spot was going to be in Kauai. God had other plans and purposes and we did not stay very long there and moved to the Big Island - telling each other that we would go back to Kauai on special occasions. Well this past January after 5 long years it was a special occasion planned and purposed by God. I was told that many changes had been made to Kauai and was hoping that "my special road" was still there. IT WAS. I got a picture of it. How it relates to my life in Christ? This is my idea of how I walk my journey path, Jesus and me, enough light to see the Heavenly and the path set before me. I can see the end of the tunnel, it is off in the distance. A protected covering silencing the noises that would distract me. And while on this journey he speaks to me, and no other man knows the intent of it, just Him and me. Ah, how Good our most Sovereign Lord Is.

Heavenly LORD, Abba Father, thank you for Your Word which brings life. Praise and Glory and Honor and Power to the One True GOD. Lord I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ as she travels down this road - may she hold tight to Your Living Word, may her journey be filled with Your Light, may her beginning and end be complete in You and may she enjoy the journey giving you all the praise. May she be ever hearing, pray without ceasing and rest in Thee. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week.

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ.

Just Me Wednesdays

Dear sisters-in-Christ;

Another Wednesday has approached us and how quickly it seems to come each week. My Wednesday’s have become a time when the day is filled with things that are “just me” days. For those of you who are still in the time of your lives when chores and children and husband’s require more of you than you have to give, there is a time when it ends. I’m sure that you have heard it before and will most definitely hear it again. My Wednesday I have come to cherish more and more with each passing month. I only work half-day at my job, then off to be “just me”. At first discovering whom “just me” was hard to grasp. I am trying to learn.

Heavenly Father, Abba, Sovereign LORD, thank you that it is “just me” coming before Your throne of Grace. Father in Heaven, You have my heart. I have guarded it so closely – so today Heavenly Father my heart is Yours. Oh Lord I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ this day that in the “just me” days she would allow You to touch her heart and may she be filled with the incomprehensible Joy and Peace which comes with knowing her Heavenly Father, her Lord, her King. In Jesus Name. Amen

Until next week,

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ.

The Picture on the Box

Dear sisters-in-Christ,

I was watching a movie the other day; don’t remember the name of the movie, which really does not matter. In one of the scenes the woman is sitting at the table as the man enters carrying two small boxes of jig jaw puzzles. He asks which one she would like and he took the other one. Apparently he had never put a jig jaw puzzle together so the woman begins to explain that you take the pieces and turn them color side up and sort by color, size and shape; finding the corners first and the flat end pieces. You need to keep the top of the box close by as a reference to what the picture looks like in order to complete the puzzle. The man starts to put the pieces face down. The woman tells him he is doing it wrong. He tells her that he doesn’t need to look at the puzzle pieces because he has the picture right in front of him, so he already knows what it will look like when he is finished. Amazing, how God works in the same way. I am trying to put it all together sorting by color and shape and when I find a corner piece I am elated. Just from that scene in the movie I got a small glimpse of what FAITH actually looks like. God already has the complete picture. Thank you Heavenly Father, my most Sovereign Lord that my life is a complete picture in Your Eyes.

Heavenly Father, Glorious Master and LORD, our Great and Mighty GOD, our Strong Tower, may You be Gloried in my Life Lord. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ who is walking through the valley of dryness be flooded with Your Compassion. In the Name of Jesus I command that the Spirit of Infirmity must flee their bodies and return no longer. For the dear sisters-in-Christ who are stuck in the mire of darkness and hopelessness may they reach out and touch Your Garment and be clothed in Your righteousness, which dispels all the enemies lies and be restored into Beauty and in the likeness of You. Oh, Heavenly Father come abide in our hearts and minds and souls this day. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The Lord has so Graciously blessed us with an answer to prayer. A brother and sister-in-law of one of our good friends were stricken unexpectedly and we began to pray for her and him. I have attached the address here larryvaughn.wordpress.com for all of you who desire to know them and know the miraculous. It is a very true accounting of the events and last night I got to give him and her a big hug. Ah, our GOD is so GOOD.

Until next week,

Your dear friend and sister-in-Christ.
