Psalm 23

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, How was your Christmas? And how are you doing this Wednesday? What is your tradition for taking down the Christmas decorations? Mine is to take them down on New Year's Day! For many of you the hustle and bustle of the season plus the socializing and the cooking and the preparing you are worn out emotionally and mentally but most of all you are worn out spiritually. It is also the end of the year and thoughts of starting a new year weigh heavy on your mind for another celebration is about to happen and this is completely different from the one just celebrated. Balancing your life sometimes is so very difficult so let us come before the Throne of Grace and ask of the Father - Abba Father, as we walk through our days after the celebration of Christmas and with all the events in our lives we come before You with a weariness. Lord with folded hands and humbled hearts we offer up our prayer, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He lead me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staf, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindess will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." (Psalm 23) Lord, may you ears be attentive to our prayers. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings to all of you,

Christmas Card Letter

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Merry Christmas! It is that time of the year when Christmas cards are sent and received and usually a letter is enclosed or a postcard with various pictures showing the year's happenings. This is my Christmas letter highlights of my year - it really began in April with knowing that we were to move. So preparing the house to sell and selling and moving and questions of where to move and finally finding a place in Anna, Ohio. All this happened between April 25th and August 6th. All the in between miracles and blessings and the faithfulness of God seemed to be heightened each day as I cried out to the Lord for help, healing, strength, and patience. Yes, each phase of the whirlwind adventure seemed to bring with it impossible and endless situations. And at each cry unto the Lord He answered in the most amazing of ways. Let me share some highlights: After we made the decision to move, my husband went into the hospital with sepsis - this being his fourth bout with it was decided that his health was of utmost importance. Informing our adult children of his health issues our son who lives in Ohio invited us to come live closer to him. With that decision being made, we began the move - selling the house and preparing for the move. In June my husband went back into the hospital with his 5th bout of sepsis but with the answer to many healing prayers he was able to make the drive and the move to our son's house and then we found a place in August. All the things that happened on a daily basis was at times very stressful but the blessings received and the time with our son and his family while trying to find a house are priceless memories. So this Christmas we will be spending Christmas day with him and also our two adult grandchildren, something that has not happened in many, many years. The months have gone by quickly and yet each day seemed like a year long with new situations cropping up. I would like to say that without your encourageing replies and your prayers my life would have been far worse. If I can be selfish enough to ask for prayers for this coming year - my husband's health and his doctor's appointments; for me strength to be able to do the things that need to be done and for both of us time to enjoy all that the Lord has planned and purposed for our lives. Let us pray: Abba Father, Praise to Thee and we worship You. Thank You for sending your son, Jesus! Lord, I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be divinely anointed this Christmas season with a Joy that starts deep within her being and shines forth in the lives of her loved ones. May her countenance be such that everyone who looks upon her will know that she has been in the Presence of the Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen. Merry Christmas Blessings,

Nothing is InSignifcant in Your Life

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, We took a trip to the biggest city closest to us because I had a doctor's visit yesterday. The significance of that trip as it pertained to my life I do not know BUT I wanted to share with you for it is the supposedly insignificant happening in life that turns out to be a faith builder. There are so many examples of this in the bible - let me site some of these - Genesis 26:17, "And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.", Exodus 3:3, "And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.", Nehemiah 2:11, "So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.", and finally Luke 2:13, "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,". Yes these seem to be random verses but they were said for a reason for these words are significant for they are in the bible. For those who keep a journal and record different thoughts and ideas and happening and situations that come up in your life that at the time seem as random interruptions may be a golden thread that links you to another or may be a step of faith that you didn't even realize was a very good thing that the Lord is doing and has already done. As you celebrate this Christmas may each day be special and precious for you never know if you have been visited by an angel or it was the very thing that needed to be done to keep you in God's will and in God's perfect timing. Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, He adores you just the way you are and will continually be present in your life. Let us pray - Abba Father, praise thee for all the things You are, thank You for all the things You do and we worship You for You love us so much. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as she steps into her day and plants her feet on holy ground that her journey with You will be sweet and pure. Lord give each one Your Peace and Joy today. In Jesus Name, Amen. Walking in His Sweetness,

Your Life Was Ordained

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, First Christmas being spent in Ohio. There are so many firsts that have been happening since we left our last home on July 5th. So, how many firsts have you experienced since July 5th? And thinking back to them how was it in terms of knowing that God was in the midst of it all? It doesn't seem possible that a few words spoken and knowing it was from the Lord that we would be here! I am and let us read the story found in Luke 2, "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered." Ah, I love reading stories and when each scenario is presented in such a way that captivates you to read on and on and on... Every year I begin with the reading of Luke 2 and each year still I am captivated at the telling of it. Knowing the beginning and even the ending of it, still it captivates my mind and heart for it is not just some story it is the Truth, in real time, of the events of a special birth and why it happened the way it did and how it was ordained. In reading once again, how my moving here, in the telling of it many, many years later and looking back how the Lord ordained and orchestrated and planned and directed my path to where I am today. Yes, a new home to decorate, and a new reason to celebrate. Let us pray - Abba Father, Praise and Glory to You our Creator of ALL things, our Faithful God who has ordained. Lord, as each dear and precious sister-in-Christ reflects on her story may she see how intricately You have led her and carried her thus far and ALL the blessings she has been given. In Jesus Name, Amen. Living out my story,
