Collection of Boxes

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

The last Wednesday of August already!! My oh my where has the time gone - the lazy days of summer seemed to evaporate. Today as I looked around in my room for some inspiration my eyes landed on the stack of boxes that I have placed on my bookshelves and other shelves throughout my study. I have been collecting boxes since in my thirties. And I have to admit my first boxes were cigar boxes. Yes, my husband used to smoke a cigar occasionaly and also a pipe so I would look at the boxes and they were so ornate and/or colorful and just the right size for placing important papers or trinkets. Then came the tins that have candies or cookies, just the right size for repurposing and/or placing crayons or colored pencils or chalk to be used in my crafting. So many uses for wooden, tin, glass, or plastic boxes of various sizes and shapes. Each box has its purpose and what is stored in them is things that I treasure.

How about you? Where do you store your treasures?

Abba Father, Praise Thee and Thank Thee for Your Provisions. Something as simple as a box Lord, that we find so appealing that we acquire it and place our treasures inside. Lord Your Provision for the simple things and Your Provision for the mundane things and Your Provision for the delicate things and Your Provision for the Important things, Yes Lord, Your Provision for ALL things in our lives. Lord may each dear and precious sister-in-Christ see Your Provision intricately woven into every part of her life today. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Storing My Treasures,

My Covenant

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, A little late this morning, I know, was taking some extra time doing morning quiet time. Reading through the bible for the year - this mornings reading was Jeremiah chapters 33-36. I am taking more time in reading these passages of Jeremiah and today was no exception. Jeremiah 33:20-22 - "Thus say the LORD, "If you can break My covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time, then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers. As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me."" Wow - Amazing - His Covenant!! His Plans will not be thwarted. He is our GOD. He never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. You can TRUST and KNOW and BE STILL. Abba Father, our God whose covenant has appointed the day and night time. Praise and Glory to thee. Lord, I pray for every dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she come into Your Presence with thanksgiving for All that You have done, are doing, and will do in her life. Lord may her appointed time be as You and have planned and purposed for her life. Lord may Your Power and Peace and Provision and Presence be so abundant and rich that she cannot but rejoice in this day that you have made. May she live abundantly and love outrageously and ask for the impossible. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Trusting in His Covenant,

Five Words Spoken

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Four o'clock in the morning - five words spoken - Faith Trust Love Hope Peace - in that order. I hurriedly picked up my journaling notebook and wrote them down. This morning I am sharing them with you. The LORD's promises spoken throughout the Word. I know that each one of you have memorized verses which contain one or more of the words spoken to me. Yes, these five words together and individually are what GRACE is. These days may we reflect on what these five words mean to you and may we be reminded that our GOD is sufficient and able and knows and has begun and delights and rewards and plans and purposes and is the Author and Perfecter and He is coming again. Abba Father, We come before Your Throne of Grace this morning and bow down to worship You. Lord, thank You that when we doubt all we need do is ask for the Faith to... Lord, thank You that when we are hurt that it is You in whom we can Trust. Lord, thank You, that when we feel unloved and unwanted it is Your Love that embraces us. Lord, thank You that when we are lost and feeling hopeless that it is Your Hope that enters our hearts to persevere. Lord, thank You that when our life is devastated and chaotic that it is Your Peace which flows so sweetly and stills our troubled hearts. Lord I pray that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ would digest each word and live out her day knowing who she is in Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings, LyndiaSue

Let's Start at the Beginning - Genesis 1:1-2 and Psalm 139

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Welcome to August!! I know that many of you are still in the month of March and counting the days but my calendar says August. It feels like August weather wise - the days are hot and the nights are sultry. The flowers are in full bloom too. So while nature is still doing its thing we, mere mortals, are dealing with other things. Right!!

So may we allow ourselves today to start at the Beginning. Yes, all the way back to Genesis 1:1-2, It is written, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." Yes, that Beginning, when the EARTH was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep, that Beginning.

Why must we "start at the Beginning?" I don't know about you but I definitely need a reality check in my life and it being Wednesday how about we do it together. In the midst of your "today", which is filled with so many things to think about and to do, allow yourself to take a few moments and meditate on the written WORD. Allow yourself to take the time and trust in the LORD, our Creator of ALL Things and "start your day at the Beginning."

Abba Father,

Praise to Thee, Glory to Thee, thank You Holy and Mighty LORD that there was a Beginning. Thank You LORD that in the forming of us "I am fearfully and wonderfully made" that "Your eyes have seen my unformed substance". Praise to thee that "in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me." LORD thank You for Your thoughts to me, which are precious. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would "start at the Beginning" and Be Still and Know that You are God. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Starting at the Beginning,
