My Personal Best and God's Personal Best

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I have started a new morning routine. Early morning swimming at the local pool. Today I did my personal best!!

Which got me to thinking -- my personal best and God's personal best!!

How richer, deeper, wider, sweeter, fuller, and higher is God's personal best for us!

Today as we walk through our day there are situations that we all face that causes us to either hang on in desperation or sink into despair or excitely squeel with Joy. I pray that you face all or one of these situations that your personal best would be to ask and seek and knock for God's personal best for you.

Abba Father, Praise to thee, thank You that for each new day You always have Your personal best for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ. I pray for each one today that as she strives for her personal best that You would speak into her heart and draw her unto Yourself and whisper words of Love over her. I ask in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

2 Samuel 5:10

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This morning I pulled from my bookshelf a bible that hasn't been used in quite a while. It's one that I had purchased several years back. I recall the reason I wanted to use it was because it was the "NIV" version. I had only been using the King James. Another reason was that it was the "Women's Devotional Bible". Opening the bible and leafing through the pages looking at the underlined verses this verse caught my attention, "And he became more and more powerful because the LORD God Almighty was with him." (2 Samuel 5:10).

How mightily it applies to each one of us. When I think of being powerful it usually has to do with physical, but the Lord's thoughts and ways of being powerful are so far reaching, don't you think?

Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, the LORD God Almighty is with you and me and the power that is given to us is the Holy Spirit. Each day is a new day to activate that power given to be a person who puts on the full armor of God and walks into her day confidently and assurdedly that whatever, whomever and whichever comes into our walk with the Lord He will protect, keep, restore, and renew!

Yes you will become more and more powerful because the LORD God Almighty is with you!

Abba Father, our most Sovereign Lord, the Holy and Righteous One who created and spoke and keeps each of His children. Praise and Glory and Honor to the One who directs and guides and quiets us. Lord I pray that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ would today TRUST and BE STILL and KNOW that You alone are the LORD God Almighty and that You are with her. I pray in the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Do You Hear Me - Comfort Sounds

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Wednesday morning and once again it is a new month, June, the early summer days are upon us. And with the early summer days there are special sounds, especially in the early morning. Since my body gets me up so early, 5:30 most days and if I am blessed to sleep in maybe 6:30. So to continue, the early sounds of the summer morning - As the sun arises there is a stillness, brief, and yet impactful. Awakening the day. Birds chirping, even the sound of the leaves turning toward the sun.

These sounds bring comfort to my ears, along with the sound of flowing water. Yes, comfort sounds, they vary as much as the individual. Some days I welcome the sound of silence the most. In the everyday happenings even running the water into the sink to wash up the forgotten dishes from the night before brings comfort to my ears.

These comfort sounds are actually a voice speaking - some are soft and gentle to the ears, while others are harsh and discomforting.

Yes, comfort sounds, we all have them and my prayer for today for each of you -

Abba Father, Thank You for Speaking into our hearts, thank You for Your Whispers, Thank You oh Lord that as varied as the beauty of color You also gifted us with sounds that bless and comfort. Lord thank You for the sounds of water and birds and trees and also thank you for all the musical instruments and voices that sing wonderful praises to your Name. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today whatever sounds bring her comfort that she would Be Still and Know that You are God. Lord there is nothing, absolutely nothing that separates us from Your Love. May she hear with her heart Your Comfort sounds stirring her to keep asking and seeking and knocking. I pray this in the precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.
