Handle With Prayer

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Each day that you awake it is a day which needs to be handled with prayer. It can be a flat on your face before the Lord or on your knees or even a quick "Help". It still is handled with prayer. Your day and mine, twenty-four hours only. Each day is a new day for it has never been lived before. When you wake up to a new day very rarely is it a fresh start. The crisis from yesterday is still there, you are still laying in that hospital bed or going to the same place at work or dealing with the same..., however it is still a new day. It is 24 hours of time, a day and a night.

Your time and my time but most importantly it is God's Time, which is the most important of all. God's Time for it is like none other. A day to Him is like a thousand years!!

Abba Father, Praise and Glory, thank You oh LORD for this day, thank You for creating each day NEW. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as she awakens to a new day, the day that you created just for her that she rejoice in knowing that when she handles the day with prayer You hear her cries from her heart. And while handling her day with prayer may she be filled with Your preciousness. Oh how precious art thou oh Lord. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

This Is Your Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Something beautiful is going to happen today
Something extraordinary is going to happen today
Something said will make you sad today
Something said will make you joyous today
Something tragic is going to happen today

Ah a 24 four hour day and how much can happen in just 24 hours. Only God knows and that is the mystery of knowing Him and resting in Him and trusting in Him and sitting still before Him.

Yes, the importance of one day - Psalm 118:24, "This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." and Phil. 1:6, "For I am confident of this very thing that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the "day" of Christ Jesus."

Yes a 24 hour period where God tells us through scripture that HE has made and instructs us to rejoice and be glad in it. And also Paul tells of his confidence in the LORD because he knew that the LORD has begun a good work in you and will perfect it until the "day" of His glorious return.

So no matter what "something" comes up in your day be assured that the LORD who began a good work in you will perfect you and keep you and make you lie down in green pastures and lead you beside quiet waters and restore your soul and guide you in the paths of righteousness and so much more...

Abba Father, as we come before Your most holy and mighty and gracious Throne may our hearts cry out to thee and ask and seek and knock every single day that You have made and rest in the blessed assurance that within this 24 hours of our daily lives you are there to bring comfort and hope and love and joy. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would welcome this day and rejoice and be glad in it. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Embracing the Day the Lord Has Made,

Living In Another World

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Of late it seems that I have been living in another world. Some days I am going at a snail's pace and other days I seem to be in the midst of stampeding elephants. Do you ever feel that way? Things seem to pop up out of no where and once again I am off...

Just a little of my rambling thoughts this morning. Happy Wednesday Morning to all of you!!

So with these rambling thoughts in mind I recently had to go through some of my parents books that they had collected over the years. One particular book caught my attention, "Jesus Did It Anyway" the Paradoxical Commandments for Christians by Kent M. Keith. One of the chapter titles, People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. The verses referenced were, John 15:12, Luke 6:32-36 and 1 Cor. 13:1-3.

Yes, I am making myself vulnerable!! How about you?

Abba Father, thank you that Your Love for us is forever and ever and ever... Praise to thee oh Most Sovereign Lord. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that in the midst of her thoughts You come, in the midst of her words You speak, in the midst of her dreams You inspire, in the midst of her hurts You heal, in the midst of her angst You calm, and in the midst of her darkness Your Light illuminate. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

The Cleansing Power of Our LORD

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Last Saturday and Sunday mornings I was cleaning out from under my wild rose bush and elderberry bush. In the process of removing last years leaves and debris plus the road pebbles left from the removal of the LARGE amounts of snow and ice, with my glove covered hands I thought I was safe from the thorns. Nope, didn't happen. I also asked the wild rose bush to not bite me as I reached under and through and on top of the tender branches - also didn't work. But did it stop me from my task at hand. Nope, I persevered!! Looking at it now out of my study room window, I'm glad I did. The scratches are healing nicely and I thought I had gotten all of the thorns removed. Well, this morning I reached for a glass and the tip of my right pointer finger stabbed me with pain. I looked at it and saw a festering sticker. Okay today is Wednesday and it took that long to surface. Ah, a lesson to be learned here. Sin, how it enters in and how long to fester?

How Glorious is our LORD that He covers us with the blood of Jesus and we are pure and righteous. But still there are little things that enter in that we not aware of and only when it has been brought to the surface can it be dealt with. Oh, LORD, thank You that You are faithful and holy.

Abba Father, Praise to thee and thank You that You do not leave us nor forsake us. Thank You that You direct our steps and cleanse us and continually LOVE us in spite of ourselves. Oh LORD, thank You that You alone are able to cleanse us completely and throughly and that when doubts or fears or worries come to the surface and begin to fester You remove them. Oh Lord, that we cry out in pain and You embrace us and cleanse us and soothe us. Oh Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would cry out to You. LORD, may Your Peace come, Your Power overwhelm, Your Provision be abundant, and Your Presence embrace each precious one. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

God's Plans

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I received as a Christmas gift a "Start each day with a greateful heart 2018" planner. I have been using it and love it. At the beginning of each month is has a little quote or saying and for the month of May it is, "If plan A fails remember there are 25 more letters". I contemplated briefly and then added this, "But... Walking with God there are no letters - His is the BEST PLAN!"

Coupled is this verse from my devotional, "Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence." Jer. 17:7

Last Friday we got back from a 10 day road trip to California to celebrate our daughter's birthday. It was a total surprise (to her) with her two brothers there also to join in the celebration. This was totally not planned!!!

It was the Best Ever so far of knowing that God's Plans are the BETTER of anything we could ever hope for or ask for or long for or need or want.

Oh how amazing is our God that in the midst of the hurts or pains or misunderstandings or confusion or doubts or unreached goals or disappointments or unexpected situations He has HIS PLANS. Dear sisters-in-Christ keep TRUSTING!!!

Abba Father, Praise to thee and thank You most Sovereign and Righteous LORD that Your Love is so rich and infinite. Thank You that You Love us so deeply that ALL Your PLANS are for our good and for Your Glory. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would allow Your Plans for her life today. I pray for a resting and a trusting in her mind and body and soul to know that You are God and to Be Still before You. In the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,
