Doing the Things I Want To Do

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This being my last Wednesday that I will be gainfully employed I have decided to take the day off. Why not? It is Wednesday, my half day, when the first half spent at the office and the second half spent doing what I want to do, however, over the years it seemed that more and more of my Wednesday's were being filled up with doing things that other people wanted me to do. So this being my last Wednesday of being gainfully employed - the things that I scheduled to do in the afternoon I have rescheduled to do in the morning and this afternoon doing something that I want to do. I know that each one of you have something that delights you when you do it! I hope that each one of you will be able to have a morning or an afternoon or maybe the whole day where you get to do the things that you want to do.

Abba Father, thank You that You give us the breath each day and the tender mercies and even the desire to do the things we want to do. Praise thee that You direct our steps and give us the passion to do the things that we want to do. Lord may each dear and precious sister-in-Christ live her life is such a way that while she is doing the things that she wants to do that it would be walking in obedience to the plans and purposes that You have so marveleously and wonderfully bestowed upon her. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

A Brief Encounter

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

How many times in our week do we have a brief encounter with someone? There are several incidents in the Bible - one comes to my mind - where a teenager destined to be King can't find his brothers and has a brief encounter with a man. Also how many brief encounters with the Lord did people have and came away healed?

Yes, there are so many brief encounters in our lives, some can heal and some can hinder and even hurt but if we consider who is the Potter and who is molding us by His Loving Hands how can we not thank him and praise Him for how marvelously He shapes our lives. Yes that brief encounter that you had yesterday that left an impression on your mind was part of His master plan.

I pray that you embrace the brief encounters in your life and know that it is Your Abba Father who places them there for His glory.

Abba Father, how marvelous art thou, we come before Your throne of Grace and marvel at Your Beauty and desire to know thee more and more. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her brief encounters would bring her closer to thee and that they would desire more and more of thee as they TRUST in the omnipotent and sovereign LORD. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Promises of God

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Talked to a dear sister-in-Christ this morning and it began to rain. Part of our conversation was about the promises of God, when we ended our conversation I looked up and there was a beautiful rainbow in the sky. In fact it is still hanging, even bigger now!!

Yes, indeed the promises of God - May His Presence, His Peace, His Provision and His Power rain down upon you and may others witness His Glory.

Lord may Your Promises be revealed day by day as we choose to live our lives in obedience to You. In the Precious Name of Jesus,Amen.

Greeting Cards

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

It is very hard for me to pass by the greeting cards section. For now my favorite brand is Papyrus! The uniqueness of each card captures my attention.

The one that I am looking at now I found several months ago at our local Safeway store. It is a birthday card and the front has an elephant holding a flower in his trunk, on top of him is an alligator, on top of her is a hippo and on top is my favorite a giraffe and a bird is sitting on the back of the giraffe. The sentiment inside - "Because you are ridiculously AWESOME! Happy Birthday."

Honestly what drew my attention to is was the giraffe and then the sentiment. Can I tell you that you are ridiculously AWESOME. Yes you dear and precious sister-in-Christ. It is written is Psalm 119:73, "Thy hands have made me and fashioned me:..." and Psalm 139:14-16. How can you not be ridicuoulously AWESOME?

Abba Father,

We come before Your Throne of Grace and cry out to thee, oh most Sovereign LORD may Your Grace and Mercy be evident in our lives, may we seek to know thee more and more and in the seeking may You draw us closer and closer to thee. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ this day and this week as she lives out her day striving to be a woman who walks in obedience to You. In the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen.

May your week be filled with JOY and PEACE.
