Psalm 23:1-2 Learning Quietness

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

For the past thirteen days I feel as if, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul."

I became very ill with flu like symptoms on Friday the 18th but continued to do my job and that night I was very sick. I went to the doctor on Monday and was told that I did have a virus/flu and bedrest was required. So here I am into the second week and realizing that indeed the only want that I have needed was to not have a fever but other than that I was not able to do hardly anything. I attempted to go back to work this Monday but God had other plans still. So here I am lying down in green pastures - indeed it is green pastures!! He has led me beside quiet waters - it has been so quiet that I feel as if I can physically touch the quietness. He covers me with His love and the quietness of Him is so beautiful. During this quietness He is restoring my soul. I believe this because He has said it.

I asked the Lord this morning what I was to learn from this time and His word to me was "quietness".

Abba Father, Praise and thank thee for being our Shepherd who gives that we shall not be in want. Thank you oh Lord that You made us to lie down in green pastures, and that You lead us beside quiet waters and that You restore our souls. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would boldly proclaim that You are her shepherd and be still and know that is enough for she will not be in want, that You make her to lie down in green pastures and that you lead her beside quiet waters and that You restore her soul. In the Precious Name of JESUS, Amen.

Revelations 7:9-10

Dear sisters-in-Christ,

Throughtout my life I have had the honor of living in diverse places. Growing up in a small town in Montana there were large communities of Hutterites (a communal society like Amish) who had their own language and customs. As a teenager our family moved to California and I was exposed to the Mexican-Spanish community along with the Black community. When I got married we moved back to Montana and lived on an Indian reservations for 7 years. And now I live in Hawaii. Each place that I have lived so far has a blend of culture and language and customs that I can only imagine what heaven will be like when "...a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb."

Oh my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ may He Alone be Our Everything, so many people, so many tongues, so many kindreds are we and yet the Lord knows us by our name and knows the number of hairs on our head and LOVES us intimately and sings songs over us and He Is a Jealous God.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor and may each sister-in-Christ enter into a time of sitting before Your throne of Grace and that each day she would become filled with more and more and more of Jesus - the Alpha and Omega, the Lamb of God. In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Labor

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

A friend has asked for prayer becasue her daughter is in labor. As I texted her back that I would, it brought back so many memories of my own - giving birth to 3 children. I do know that for many of you who are reading this post that maybe this kind of "labor" has not been experienced by you. I also know that you have gone through some form of "labor".

I consider prayer as labor.

God draws you close to Him and tells you something - it begins to take seed in your heart, it grows and grows, then the process of it becoming alive is the process of labor.

Dear and Precious Ones God is the God of Creativitity and Beauty and Kindness and Patience and Greatness and Righteousness and Holiness and LOVE. May the process of "labor" bring forth in your lives all of the blessings and promises that our most Sovereign LORD has already bestowed on each one of us since the beginning.

C.S. Lewis Quote

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

My husband asked if I wanted his old cork board; I looked at it and thought of how I could use it and where I could hang it. Saying yes I showed him where it was to be hung. It remained empty for about 2 weeks as I thought about what I wanted hung on display. My refrigerator is covered on two sides with pictures of family and friends and drawings from dear grandchildren so just what would I pin on my empty cork board?

Staring at an empty cork board began to bother me so I sorted through some things that I had stored away in various folders and began the task.

The first thing that I pinned was a quote from C.S. Lewis, "Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story, which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see."

Miracles - oh Abba Father how You place in our lives every moment of every day a miracle.
Miracles - oh Sovereign Lord thank You that my very breath breathed today is a miracle.
Miracles - Praise thee oh Lord that each happening in my life is a miracle.

To each of you dear and precious sisters-in-Christ today may your live be filled with His Presence, His Purpose, His Provision, and His Peace. You are precious in His sight and you are a Miracle.
