Isaiah 1:18 Let Us Reason Together

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Two days ago a storm passed over our Island - it was pitch black at 9:30 am with ROARS of Thunder, which shook the ground and BOLTS of lightning that violently struck the earth. Three of the bolts struck all around our work building, in fact I witnessed the strike of one of them as it struck the utililty pole across the street from outside our office door. With it came the rain so fierce that the sound of it was like standing next to Niagra Falls. Oh the power of Nature and yet it pales in comparison to the Power of our most Sovereign and Holy God.

The air was so fully charged with electricity that my body was on high alert - but yet I watched all of this and was amazed - yes amazed. How much more of God that there is to learn about, how much more of Him to want to know, how much more of His Power is my mind able to grasp and yet remain still before Him.

In the midst of all this chaos is God - a Loving God, a Sovereign God, a God who says, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Oh, how marvelous that He speaks to us, that He knows our most intimate life and yet He invites us to come and reason together. This is too much for my mind to even conceive that He invites us - just as I witnessed the power of nature how is it possible with something that powerful that could destroy and damage and yet God who is so much MORE invites us and removes our filth.

Abba Father, we are on our faces before thee oh that You would invite us to reason together, may we be still before You our most Sovereign LORD and know that You are our God. LORD may Your Presence be known to each and every sister-in-Christ this day. May You surround her with Your Holy Spirit and may she desire to know thee more and more. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Miracle from God

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I dedicate this post to my son who is 45 years old today - a miracle, a gift given from God and so thankful that God heard my heart and answered my prayer.

He was my first test in walking by faith. The situation I was presented with had choices, either keep the child or have an abortion.

This was the first time that I remember being on my knees before my Lord and weeping uncontrollably.

God heard and answered!!

Trusting Him fully with the words spoken to me I now am able to wish my son a Happy 45th Birthday.

Abba Father, thank you that our past and our present and our future are yours. Praise you, oh Lord, that You are Faithful. Most Sovereign Lord thank you that in our hour of uncontrollable weeping that You are ever present and long to answer in the most amazing of ways. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her past, present, and future be directed by the One who made them. Oh Lord it is Your faithfulness that captures our hearts and may each precious sister-in-Christ be captured by thee. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 67

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I have been awake since 4:00 - a little bit earlier than normal for me. Rather than laying awake in bed I decided to get up and more or less start my Wednesday morning. I started by walking into my room and plugging in my fountain, then shuffling some paperwork around, and then reading my emails. Finished!

Time to email my sisters-in-Christ - Opening my bible to Psalms - let us (pray) as we read together:

God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah,
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people, righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

I also pray that your week is filled with His Presence in every area of your being. In Jesus Name, Amen.

On My Knees Weeding

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

A random thought: I do not believe that I will ever tire of greeting you all in this fashion. Since I began writing prayers in 2004 to close friends and family on the mainland it expanded into learning about how to connect world wide through the internet. First came the webpage, courtesy of my daughter and then to emailing and then to blogging.

It started on Monday early morning when the Lord said that I needed to get on my knees for I have something to teach you. I preceded out the door to the gardening workbench, picked up the knee pad and at a little area around the bird bath I got on my knees and began to pull weeds. As I started to remove the big weeds that I could readily see it uncovered the smaller ones that were lying underneath. It was then that the teaching began. It was the same for Tuesday morning and again this morning. A little patch at a time starting with the big and ending with the smallest, going over it a second time to make sure that all have been removed. The littlest ones were the hardest because I had to remove some of the soil and rocks from around them to get to the root. Ah isn't that how sin is in our live! We remove the ones that we can see readily not even knowing that we are exposing the smaller ones which have taken root.

One of the smallest of all is: Fretting and the Lord's response is: Psalm 37

Abba Father, Praise the oh most Sovereign Lord that You are our Father in heaven who watches over us. Thank You for Your Son and for Your Spirit. Lord I come before thee this morning trusting that Your Word is Sure and Truth. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she desire thee above all else, that she would indeed Trust in the Lord and Delight thyself also in the Lord and Commit thy way unto the Lord and Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him. In Jesus Name, Amen.
