The Moments of Life

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I was just standing in my side yard, looking at the moon setting in the early morning skies and turning to my left at the dawn's glowing sun rays; each view had a star shining brightly directly above them, it was totally a God thing. One of those moments in time when you know that He has whispered in your ear and said, "Come you don't want to miss this!"

People try to put a label on it, Aha Moment, God Moment, Wow Moment, wanting to somehow capture the true essence of the experience. And that is totally a God thing too. For He is the One who Created and Planned and Purposed all the moments in our lives.

Dear and precious ones my prayer for all of you this day,

Abba Father, thank you for the moments in life that are filled with your abundant and overflowing richness. Oh, Heavenly Father as each of us live the moments of our lives from the rising of the sun until the setting of the moon may we give thanks for the Preciousness of You. How wonderful, how marvelous is Your abiding LOVE. Abba Father, Come and Whisper. In Jesus Name, Amen.

In the Moment,

Blessed Thanksgiving

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving - a day set aside for celebration and thankfulness for all those things were deem precious and dear. And yes, I do have a list:

1) My husband - who sometimes makes me laugh and sometimes makes me cry and sometimes makes me what to throw my hands up in defeat and sometimes makes me throw my arms around him in love. (There are times when I think that God must have gotten it wrong, but more importantly I'm thankful that He got it right!)

2) My Three Children - who since their first breathes have never ceased to utterly amaze me at how wonderful and exciting life can be. (Thank you Lord for these precious ones)

3) My Five Grandchildren - who have brought to me little reminders of just how much I dearly love parenthood but they take it to the next level and I realize that they bring a greater joy just because they seem to understand me just the way I am. (Thank you Lord for giving me even more precious ones)

4) Friends, those who have been in the midst of the pain and who have lifted up and at times carried me through. (Thank you Lord for friendships)

5) Work, those who I answer to and those who I work beside (Thank you Lord for placing me in a job where we are appreciated and rewarded for what we do)

These are the visible things, the tangible things of life.

For those invisible things I am just as thankful and I would like to give you a reason, it is in a Hymn: Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There's light for a look at the Savior.
And life more abundant and free!

Thru death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there
Over us sin no more hath dominion
For more than conq'rors we are!
His word shall not fail you- He promised,
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

CHORUS
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.

Abba Father, I ask that above all things You would bless each precious and dear sister-in-Christ even more abundantly in the days ahead. In Jesus Name, Amen

Blessed Thanksgiving,

LyndiaSue

Giving Thanks for my Family

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I have been calling my parents every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning for quite some time now and today's phone call reminded me once again of what I am thankful for.

My parents have been married for 63 years, raised 5 children and helped raise several of my dad's brothers and sisters as he was the oldest in his family. What I am thankful for happened again during our conversation, it started out, Dad: your mother tried to tell me how to cook the turkey again. Mom: well he was adding too much garlic and besides I don't like garlic in it anyway.

I started to giggle, and said, "oh Mom and Dad I just love it when you banter." Dad: Oh so that's what you call it. I just told her to leave the kitchen.

Marriage - my mom and dad love each other so much and yet when it comes to anything to do with the kitchen, whether cleaning or preparing food it seems to be a tug of war as to which way is the best.

Why am I thankful for the bantering? Because it gives me hope in knowing that love is not always about who is right or wrong or who does it this way or that way, it is about being there for each other. Mom and Dad may banter but at the end of the day, they kiss each other good night and realize that they are so blessed to still have each other.

Abba Father, Praise you for Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for our spouses and our family. Thank you for the Love that you pour into each of our hearts. Lord for the dear sisters-in-Christ who still have their parents thank you, for those who no longer have living parents may they be thankful for when they were alive and the special times shared. Lord thank you for Your Love and may we hold up each family member during this season of giving thanks and say thank you for our family and Lord bless richly each sister-in-Christ and their precious and dear family members. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Giving thanks for my family,

Psalm 96 - A Worship Psalm

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

We have entered into the month of November and traditionally we are to have the mindset of giving thanks. I would like to start off this month with Psalm 96, in my bible heading it is named "a worship psalm" and hopefully by reading this psalm everyday it would bring times of remembrance when the Lord restored or renewed or delivered or gave you a gift so powerful and amazing that you were unable to speak and when you did the very words of "thank you" seemed so inappropriate.

Dear sisters-in-Christ, may this month be a month of continual praise and worship unto the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Abba Father, let us come together and sing unto thee a new song; may each one of us declare Your Glory among the heathen, Your wonders among all people. Lord for You are great and greatly to be praised, You are to be feared above all gods. You have made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before You, strength and beauty are in Your sanctuary. May each dear and precious sister-in-Christ give unto the LORD, the glory due unto Your name, bring an offering, and come into Your courts. Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; fear before Him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigns: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: He shall judge the people righteously. Let the heaves rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the LORD: for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His Truth. In Jesus Name, Amen.

LORD, Praise to thee,
