God Hugs

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

So many of you have been very faithful in responding to my Wednesday morning prayers. Thank you very much. Your messages bring encouragement, joy and hope with every word.

It seems that we are living in perilous times with the reports of flooding and torrential downpours sometimes coupled with hail and record breaking tornadoes. For all of you who live in the areas and for all who have family and friends who have been stricken with grief and loss in these areas my prayer is for God's peace to overflow into your lives in the midst of the storm.

During my devotional time yesterday as I thought about the events which have been unfolding in our country I was suddenly overwhelmed with the Presence of HIM. HIM giving me a HUG. HIM just HIM.

Abba Father, thank You that in the midst of the most horrendous of things, whether the circumstances are caused by man or nature You are Faithful. Thank You that when we are so overwhelmed with the crisis that You are Merciful. Thank You that when we do not think that we can deal with the pain You are Gentle and Kind. Thank You that when we have given up You alone Embrace us with Your Everlasting LOVE. Praise thee oh most Sovereign LORD. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she cling to the Living Word, Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until Next Week,

I Am Back

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Well, well it is that time again. I am so sorry that I missed our time together last week. I was visiting my folks who live in a small town and my precious parents still have dial-up (slow, slow, slow) but they are happy with it. It meets their needs. Which brings me to the title. Yes, I am back -- God in His infinite Wisdom and GRACE has granted me the privilege of living here on my Island (I like to tell people that it is my island that they are visiting). Yes, my parents are getting older and with that comes the aches and pains and yes, my children and grandchildren live so very far away. These are definitely the minuses in life but God is so Good and He is Sovereign. Yesterday during my morning walk He reminded me of that very fact. Looking out over the ocean as I was coming down the hill and seeing the vastness of the sea I was overwhelmed with His most Glorious and Wonderful Love. The song playing on my iPod was "Holy is the Lord". How can I ever fathom His Goodness? He has walked the ocean floor. Amazing!!

Abba Father, Great and Glorious are You, Praise thee for Your Tender Mercies!! I love thee oh Lord. I pray for each precious sister-in-Christ today that she would open her eyes and ears to see You. May the sights she sees and the sounds she hear be You reminding and revealing Your Great Love in the Most Amazing of Ways. For You are Great and greatly to be Praised. May we on bended knees and contrite hearts come before the throne of Grace and worship You alone. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I Am So In Love With HIM,

My Mom

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This Sunday is Mother's Day and I will actually be with my mother. I am blessed to have my mom still alive and still a big part of my life. It wasn't always so, as with many of you, I am sure that your mother drove you crazy and probably still does at times. During our time together this morning I would like to share a memory of my mom. I do have so many and just the right one to share. My first child had just left home, on his own. My parents decided to visit us for the weekend. Early Saturday morning I had gone into my son's room and was sitting on the bed. I thought everyone was still asleep so knew that I could just sit on the edge of his bed and cry over him being gone. Looking at the things he had left behind with tears in my eyes in walks my mom. She joined me at the edge of the bed, took my hand and cried with me. I love my mom.

Abba Father, Praise thee for all the Marvelous and Mighty things You have done. Thank You for Your Goodness and Kindness and Gentleness towards Your precious children. Abba, I pray for each and every dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she take hold of You and from this day forward never let go. May she have eyes to see Your Glory, may she have ears to hear Your Song being sung over her, may she have a heart for the things of God, may she proclaim in word and deeds the Love of Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Thank You Lord for my Mom,
