Speak LORD, for thy Servant Heareth

Greetings dear sisters-in-Christ,

What I had expected to be the usual Sunday after church day turned out to be quite different and a very excellent one at that. I'm part of the prayer team at church which means that I am inside until right before the next service begins and my DH is outside visiting with friends. He lets me linger just a little while to touch base with a few friends who have not gone into 2nd service but then I begin to since it is about time to go. I'll look into the crowd and seeing him either nod my head or vice versa and off we go. This past Sunday we were joined by a dear friend and the conversation went this way, "We thought that instead of going kayak fishing tomorrow that we would go snorkeling today. Would you like to come?" My response was, "Are you sure?" Thinking about it later, why did I doubt that in his asking the first time that he was not being serious. I know my husband and know that he would not initially just ask me and not want me to come? How so like that I am with the Lord - I ask to hear His voice and seek to know Him more and more and then when I do my response is "Are you sure?"

Abba Father, Your are most Sovereign and Your Grace abounds victoriously. I pray for myself and for each sister-in-Christ today that when we hear Your voice calling to us and when we know that it is You that our first response will be a Samuel, "Speak LORD; for thy servant heareth" and not "Are you sure?" Lord, I pray special blessings upon each and every woman for this day and the days ahead, that Your Omnipotent Presence would surround them each moment of their day and night. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 36: 5 and 6

Greetings dear sisters-in-Christ,

Before moving to Hawaii I lived in Montana and my dream house was in a valley nestled up against a mountain with a big lake/pond off to the side of the house where I could go in the early morning and watch the steam rise from the lake/pond or in the evening sit by the banks and see the reflection of the stars and moon bounce up from the surface. As I am posting this morning I am looking at a painting by Thomas Kinkade, which is in one of the booklets I received called, "Passages of Light" selected scriptures with reflections by Thomas Kinkade. The picture has the sun rays reflecting off of the mountain side and the house/cabin just where I had pictured it should be. The verse that he selected was Psalm 36: 5 and 6. "Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast."

Abba, Father, thank You for Your mercy, it was King David who said that he would rather have God deal with him than man because God was a merciful God. Oh Lord, that You are a merciful God. Thank You that Your FAITHFULNESS reaches to the clouds and Your RIGHTEOUSNESS is like the great mountains; thank You that Your JUDGMENTS are a great deep and O LORD, we praise and worship You and come before Your throne of Grace and humbly thank You that You our most Sovereign LORD, You alone PRESERVE man and beast. Thank you for healing our Gail. I pray for each dearest most precious sister-in-Christ that they would see Your Splendor, hear Your Whispers, and Speak only Your Words of Truth. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Awaiting His Coming,

"What's the Matter?"

Greetings dear friends and sisters-in-Christ,

How are you doing? Have you been informed of what will transpire in your life today? For all you list makers- how many of those tasks have been completed? Questions posed today. I have questions - it does not mean for me that I have doubts - I just have questions. Do I need the answers to those questions to better understand how strong your walk with the Lord is or have you been hearing what the Lord has been talking to you (yes you personally) about?

I remember a time when my mom used to ask me, "What's the matter?" My response was "nothing" but then I would follow that with "why?" She would say, "Just asking?" Just this little conversation would get me to thinking! It seemed that mom sure knew when I was dealing with something and either trying to ignore it and hope it would go away or try to find a way to deal with it on my own.

God's word says to keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking. So this morning I'm just asking, "what's the matter?"

Abba Father, our Glorious and Magnificent LORD. The great I AM. Lord I pray for each precious sister-in-Christ this day and for the remaining days that this week contains to come before the glorious and righteous throne of Grace and ask of thee and seek thy face and knock for as long as it takes for the very gates of Heaven to be opened to reveal Your Glory. For You are high and lifted up. May each woman live in the Spirit for it is the right condition of man, and to live in the Spirit is to live with God - oh LORD may they hear You and know You and love You and delight to do Your Will. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,

Isaiah 32:17 - Work and Effect of Righteousness - FOREVER

Greetings dear sisters-in-Christ,

While searching for a scripture to dwell upon this day as I wrote to all of you, Isaiah 32:17 spoke directly to me. I do so many things as routine that I forget that it is actually work. I had to do it for it to be accomplished. I had to consciously think (for me I'm sure that it is subconsciously most of the time) before it was done. In Isaiah it says the work of righteousness shall be peace - Isn't our God so amazing that He gives His peace with passes understanding and then He tells us that this is a work of righteousness. And if we will do this work He tells us that we shall receive quietness and assurance forever. Forever, not just for the moment when we are sick or in a crisis or presented with a dilemma but FOREVER. A quietness that brings such stillness to our being that we shall not be moved and an assurance to know that even in the midst of the fiery furnace we will be able to say, "our God whom we serve is able to deliver us... and He will deliver us..." But if not, be it known unto thee... that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship..." (Daniel 3:17-18)

Abba Father Praise and Glory and Honor unto thy name, how Great are You. Thank you Lord for "FOREVER" I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ this day and this week that she would remember that You have promised her "FOREVER". Lord may she be able to continue her journey with You in confidence and blessed assurance that You calm the storm and You know the number of hairs on her head. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,
