Dear sisters-in-Christ,

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving - the way the stores are promoting Black Friday - it is a wonder that this Thanksgiving is not totally swallowed up. As with you I find myself thinking upon the people and things that I am thankful and grateful to have in my life. And today is no exception - When preparing for this post I was reminded of someone who impacted my teenage life in a most amazing way. I was 16 years old when we moved from Montana to California. Starting school I immediately began having problems with trying to fit in. Our across the street neighbor was a mother of 2 soon to be 3 children and she would ask me to babysit occasionally, then she would ask me over for Saturday afternoon tea time just to chat - then she asked me to join the ladies bible study. Well life got very, very interesting. Most of these ladies were sticks-in-the-mud and I could see from the onset that it was not going to work with me. But Mrs. Kneeland continued to embrace me and invited me back. For this I am thankful and grateful. I guess you could say that from that experience I learned what being a sister-in-Christ was about.

Heavenly Father, Abba, how richly You plan our lives. You continually embrace us and draw us into Your presence in the most remarkable of ways. Oh, that I would take a deep breath and allow Your abiding Love to overflow into the most intimate places of my heart and allow me the freedom to shout Hallelujah for Your Goodness and Mercy. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ this day and this Thanksgiving that she lift her hands and her head and her heart and shout with resounding Joy the name of Jesus, consider the cost and Praise Him. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,

Called Away

Greetings dear sisters-in-Christ,

Yes, it is Tuesday and not Wednesday, but I have been called away - I leave tonight for the mainland to be with family. I will be gone a week and there is no computer available for me to post. So I'm doing it today. For today I find myself waiting upon the LORD. Waiting to hear, Waiting to listen, Waiting to understand, and Waiting to Know His Will. It is in the Waiting that I must sit at the feet of Jesus and desire to first worship only Him. Last week in the midst of my anxieties a dear friend called and said that when the fire gets so intense that is when we pray for the Faith to Know. In digesting this I was reminded of the three brothers-in-Christ who were thrown into the fiery furnace. When they were in the Presence of the LORD there was not even the smell of smoke on their bodies when delivered from it.

Oh, most Sovereign LORD, thank You that even in the midst of the Fiery Trials Your Presence covers completely. I come before Your most Holy and Righteous Throne of Grace and humbly bow with bended knees and heart to thee. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ who is in the midst of the fiery furnace or who is being tossed into the fiery furnace or who is looking at the flames and having to decide just how Great is her GOD - LORD may she see Your Glory and confidently walk in the fire for You are covering her with Your Pure Love, Pure Truth and Pure Righteousness. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until Next Week,

The Old and The New -- ME

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This past weekend was spent at a luxurious hotel with 53 other women. What had started out as a simple thought, "let's have a Women's Retreat", God turned it into an AWESOME GOD THING. That is the only way that I can put the weekend into words. I went not know what would be and came back knowing that God is Sovereign, God is Righteous, God is in Control, and that He is Glorious. I also came back the New me. There was a worship song that we sang there and one of the verses was, "Change me from the inside out", Yep, that's what He has done!! I look the same on the outside but I know that I am changed and desire to keep changing from the INSIDE OUT. I want to also say a Thank You to the three ladies who obediently listened to God and went forward to accomplish all that was accomplished this past weekend. I also want to thank all the wonderful, beautiful, and sweet 52 other women who came and made the retreat an experience that has changed me by getting to know you. To one person, my roommate, thank you dear and precious sister-in-Christ and dearest friend.

Abba Father, thank you that You created us and everyone of us so very special. Thank you that You do not let us stay the way we are but that You alone change us from the inside out. Thank you for special and unique friendships, thank You for delighting in us and thank You that You plan and direct our steps. Oh, most glorious and Sovereign and Righteous and Omnipotent LORD, come into each dear sisters-in-Christ's heart and soften it , come into each mind and renew it, come into each body and heal it. Bring Your Glory in a New and Awesome Way that changes, restores, renews, and brings Freedom. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Until next week,
