A New Path

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Does God ever totally surprise you? Does the Lord direct you from one path to another? Just asking! Do you ever think of your life as assorted paths that you journey along with the Lord? Our little town has a network of trails that surround the city and into the outskirts of the city as well. I have walked most of them during the last four years and only have one left to try out. I can't remember exactly the total amount of miles these trails encompass but it is several. Some are paved and some are graveled, which accommodates the bicycliest and the runner and of course the slow walker. In among these trails are little paths that seem to lead to nowhere and others created as a shortcut. Last year one of the paths became an actual trail and how that was done, it was graveled being designated as a trail. So... looking in the concordance of my bible, "path" or "way" it references 5 verses: Gen. 49;17, Ps. 16:11, Ps 119:105, Prov. 15:19, and Matt. 3:3. Quoting a few of them - Ps 16:11, You will make known to me the path of life:..., Ps 119:105, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path..., Prov. 15:19, ...But the path of the upright is a highway, and Matt. 3:3, ...Make ready the way of the LORD, Make His paths straight. Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, whether your path today is paved or graveled or grassy and unkempt remember that our LORD has placed and purposed us to walk on this path and where He directs us to go it is lighted by Him, and it will be a highway to the upright and will be straight. Abba Father, Praise and glory and honor is Your alone, we come before You this day and praise You for making a way, placing us on the lighted path and making it straight as we take one day at a time walking on the path where You have purposefully placed us. And if we are joined by a friend along the way that is wonderful too. In Jesus Name, Amen. On the Lord's Path,

Philippians 1:9-11

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Extreme conditions - floods, fires, heat waves, hurricanes and the pandemic that is causing distress, confusion, and destruction, - Yes we are having extreme conditions all around us. It seems that none are immune from one or even more extreme conditions. And yet in the midst of ALL these things there is still one Name that we can call out to and before your next breath is taken He is in your midst. We may not recognize or sense or even feel His Presence but that does not negate the fact, the truth that He is ever present, ALL knowing. I say again Yes because in the world of extreme conditions many are saying No because of what they are seeing. And what they are seeing is the external not the eternal. Our LORD is ALL about eternal, with God ALL things are possible. A dear and precious sister-in-Christ used a word (nestled) to describe something and this word spoke so richly into my very being so... Dearest and most Precious and Beloved sisters-in-Christ may You be "nestled" (settle or lie comfortably within or against something) in Him. This day, this Wednesday's prayer is found in Philippians, chapter 1, verses 9-11. Let us come before the throne of Grace, with our hearts and minds and souls in one accord and calling out to Him, our Abba Father, "And I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Nestled in Him,

How Does My Garden Grow

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, There are several varieties of gardens - flowers, foods, and even rocks. I currently have flowers and food but in the past have had a rock garden. A garden is a planted area so technically rocks cannot be planted but placed but still it is referred to as a garden. We planted a flower garden so that the butterflies and the birds and the hummingbirds would come and feast. We planted the food garden for our nutritional needs for ourselves and others. We soon realized that in our area the various gardens needed to be fenced so that the deer did not eat the flowers and the food. Needless to say that having a garden is hard work! By that I mean - it needs to be tended to daily by watering it and pulling weeds and pesky bugs from eating them. Garden - it started at the very beginning when the LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. (Genesis 2:8). This Garden of Eden was so elaborate and lush and He planted the garden for the sole purpose of placing man to live in it. For those of you who have planted gardens, for whatever purposes, may you enjoy the labor and the fruits that each produce. Abba Father, thank You that You are the Master Gardener and we have been planted and placed. Praise and Worship and Honor are Yours now and forever. Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would know that You have and will tend to her every day and in every way. You have placed a hedge of protection around her, You daily remove the weeds that choke her and the bugs that rob her of her Joy. And most of ALL you water her with the Living Water of Life. May she hear Your whispers, feel Your embrace and see how lovingly You tend to her. In Jesus Name, Amen. In the garden,

Now More Than Ever - Psalm 19

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Welcome to the first Wednesday of August! Let us be thankful for the lazy days of summer, the month of August. Our air is smoke-filled from various fires that have been erupting all around us and most people that have never uttered the word "pray" before are asking, "pray for rain". Yes, now more than ever prayer is needed! Yes, now more than ever, "pray!" While we wait for the garden to grow and for the nice summer evenings let us now more than ever enjoy and at the same time ponder on the Truth found in the nineteenth Psalm. It is written, "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world, In them He has placed a tent for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat. (vs 1-6) Now more than ever let us enjoy and at the same time ponder - The law of the Lord is "perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, enlightening the eyes." (vs. 7-8) And lastly verse 14, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer." Let us pray, Abba Father, as we look to the heavens, open our eyes to see the telling of the glory of God and how their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." Lord thank You for creating us - yes Lord You created us and in Your image. O, Lord as we eagerly try to hear Your Voice and as we seek Your knowledge may we Trust that it is happening day to day and night to night. Yes the day and the night! Thank You oh Lord for our days and nights! Lord, we come before Your throne of Grace and ask this day - "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer." In Jesus Name we pray. Amen. My days and nights are Yours Lord, LyndiaSue
