Now It Happened

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Storytelling is truly an art form and with an opening like the one in First Kings chapter 18 as an example, how can our hearts not be captured by the reading of it and immediately know that what follows is indeed an intriguing story. But what is truly amazing and wonderful is that this story of old, is for us, God's elect, God's children, God's Beloved. This is more than a story, it is a reality. These events actually happened to Elijah. Yes, "now it happened", draws us into the situation and we become witnesses of how great is our God. How many times have we been or seen or heard an account of something and maybe used these exact same words, "now it happened"? The Lord is still telling us "now it happened" today. He still is speaking to us! How marvelous is our Lord that He understands and knows our hearts and He longs to show us that our present situation, no matter what it is that He can tell us for certainty that when we get beyond it, which we will victoriously, we will then see, "now it happened". God's timing is Supreme. His timing is Perfect! His timing Reigns! Dearest and most precious sisters-in-Christ, may you rest and be still and allow His timing of your lives to be evident. Abba Father, we thank You and give You praise for Your perfect timing in our lives. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today she would allow You to speak into the deepest part of her heart. The place where she goes too for comfort and peace and embraces her with Your abiding peace and Unfailing Love and Your JOY that she will boldly proclaim that all is well in her life because she waits for Your timing in ALL things. In Jesus Name, Amen. God's Perfect Timing,

Psalm 93 - He Is Clothed with Majesty

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I pray that your Springtime is filled with budding and blooming flowers, the sounds of songbirds singing, the feeling of fresh grass under your feet and maybe an outing to the beach or park or a drive to the mountains to your favorite camping spot. Where I live the sounds of the returning nesting Canadian geese are so fun to watch and their honking overhead as they approach their nesting area is a welcoming sound to my ears as I walk along the path. The daffodils can be found all around town, how proudly they show off their delicate flowers. The little creek which flows by our house seems to be enjoying the fresh runoff of the snow. It has not reached the flood stage yet! Yes the sights and sounds and feels of Springtime. In searching for a verse or verses for this morning's post, the reading of Psalm 93 seemed appropriate, "The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The LORD has clothed and girded Himself with strength; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved." Yes, it is Springtime and the daffodils which were planted maybe several years ago have once again bloomed, the birds have returned and the grass has begun to grow. These are signs of Spring. So if these signs of Spring delight us how much more should our hearts and minds and souls be strengthened in knowing that our LORD reigns and He is clothed with majesty. And that our world is firmly established, it will not be moved. Dearest and most precious sisters-in-Christ let us rejoice today for we are His children, saved by Grace. Abba Father, how great Thou art, we come before You this day and worship our LORD who reigns and is clothed with majesty. Praise to Thee for You alone are clothed and girded with strength. And we need not fear for indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved. LORD, I pray that today will be a day of rejoicing for, just as the grass grows and the flowers bloom and the birds return after the winter, You reign and are clothed with majesty. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as the days of Spring come forth with beauty and sweet singing may they also shout for Joy. In Jesus Name, Amen. Loving the Sounds of Spring,

Wonderfully Secure

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, A couple days ago, while reading my devotional, two words jumped off of the page and went right to my heart. Those two words, "wonderfully secure", brought me to tears and I immediately cried out to the Lord thanking Him for His Goodness and Kindness and Mercy and Grace. Definition of Wonderful, (Adj) inspiring delight, pleasure, or admiration; extremely good; marvelous Definition of Secure: 1) fixed or fastened so as not to give way, become loose, or be lost, 2) not subject to threat; certain to remain or continue safe and unharmed, 3) feeling safe, stable, and free from fear or anxiety and 5) feeling no doubts about attaining; certain to achieve Two words spoken into my heart making me humbled at the Goodness and Kindness of the Lord will sustain me. Yes, our past, present and future are "wonderfully secure" in the Lord. Our dreams, passions, needs, wants and plans are "wonderfully secure" in the Lord. Our days and our nights are "wonderfully secure" in the Lord. Our ALL are "wonderfully secure" in the Lord. Dear and Precious sisters-in-Christ let us worship Him today for making us "wonderfully secure". Abba Father, our most Glorious and Gracious God, how Great thou art, we worship thee today. LORD as we walk through the days and sleep through the nights of our lives may there be such a Peace, such a Joy, such a Hope, such a Love that cannot be contained but desires to seek and ask and knock and be still and KNOW that You are God. A God who promises to keep us "wonderfully secure" in ALL things. In Jesus Name, Amen Trusting in Him,

Nehemiah 8:10 - Joy of the Lord is Your Strength

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I like the name April, it seems to be "a little girl skipping through the grass on a nice spring day", kind of name. It is a shame really that the first day of April happens to be labeled April Fools Day. And it happens to be taken very seriously by some members of my family. This year however, it was not celebrated in such a big fashion so I was happy. I got past that day with very little mishaps and misunderstandings. Hopefully there will be more days of "gleefully skipping" as that is what seems to be a more pleasant way of being. Skipping through the grass on a nice spring day reminds me of being joyful with no cares in the world. Yes, a kind of day that Nehemiah states in verse ten of chapter eight, "... "Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." Dear and precious sisters-in Christ may this day be a day which is holy to our Lord, lift up your head and your hands and do not be grieved, for the JOY of the LORD is your strength. Abba Father, our most Glorious LORD who is ALL goodness and kindness and gentleness, Praise to Thee. Lord I ask that Your strength would be abundant in the lives of these dear and precious ones. O LORD may their spirits be lifted up and may they go wherever You direct them, and eat of the fat and drink of the sweet and guide them to those who have nothing prepared and send portions to them. LORD may they worship You this day for it is Holy and may they not be grieved, for they have much and with so much Your Joy is their strength. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen. The Joy of the Lord is My Strength,
