Scripture Daily Reminder

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

For Christmas last year, I received an engagement calendar with Scripture from my brother. The calendar is Thomas KinKade Painter of Light.

The month of August scripture, "God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect (2 Samuel 22:23) for the bookmark of August and starting page of the month itself, Revelation 2:26, "And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations." So each day that I make an entry I read those two scriptures. It starts my day but as I ease into the day those two verses seem to fade away.

But still I need those verses of truth to keep me going, to keep me thriving, to keep me from losing hope, to keep me from wandering and wondering, to keep me...

How about all of you?

Abba Father, our LORD, Praise and Glory and Honor, Lord thank You for Your Precious Words that bring life and liberty and strength and encouragement and hope. Lord I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ that in this world of words may Yours be ever in the forefront of their minds and hearts and souls. May scripture resound, may scripture so profound, blossom and bloom bringing hope and love and faith and courage and strength to live another day in Your abundant Grace and Beauty. I pray in the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Childlike Faith

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Another Wednesday is upon us!! Sometimes referred to as "hump day". When I was working, Wednesday was a half day for me. I learned to treasure Wednesday's because I would work in the morning and then in the afternoons do something special. Now I take my Wednesday and do something special. I write at a local quilt shop. A special place has been set aside for me to do just that.

There are a couple of challenges in my life that are causing me to think and rethink about the matter of childlike faith. The kind of faith that is endless. The kind of faith that tugs at the heartstrings. The kind of faith that shouts in the midst of the chaos, "it is well with my soul".

This morning I visited the little brook beside our house instead of starting in on my morning routine. I am so glad that I did, the calmness of the water flowing, the bubbling sound and the water bugs skipping across the water - how much more childlike can that be?

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee our most Glorious and Righteous LORD. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that You would lead her "beside quiet waters" and in that quietness she would be restored and renewed and revitalized and reshaped. May she be quieted by Your Peace, Your Joy, Your Hope and Your Love, which is never ending. Give each one a heavenly embrace that fills her to overflowing. I pray in the Precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Enjoy your time with Him,

Have A Lovely Day

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Only one thing I want to say to all of you this morning - Have A Lovely Day.

Meaning of Lovely - pleasant or enjoyable; beautiful

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to Thee our most Righteous and Sovereign LORD of ALL. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that today she would have a lovely day. Oh Lord that indeed her day and days would be pleasant or enjoyable and most definitely beautiful. That she would be surrounded by Your Presence is such a remarkable way that all around her would be love and laughter and joy. Yes, above all things, Your Joy permeating every fiber of her body. Lord "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute. If there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." (Phil. 4:8) In the precious Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, Amen.

Blessings,

Hymn - Trust and Obey

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I hope that the "Dog days of summer" are treating you well.

I listened to a sermon last Sunday and it is going through my mind. A question was asked, "do you trust the Lord when you ask that He answers?" I began to question myself about really trusting Him when I ask or listen.

This morining I was reminded that I have an hymnal and one of the songs, Trust and Obey, written by John H Sammis and Daniel B. Towner a long, long, time ago still stands as Truth today.

1) When we walk with the Lord In the Light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.

2) Not a shadow can rise, Not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt nor a fear, Not a sigh nor a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.

3) Not a burden we bear, Not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, Not a frown nor a cross, But is Blest if we trust and obey.

4) But we never can prove The delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay, For the favor He shows And the joy He bestows Are for them who will trust and obey.

5) Then in fellowship sweet We will sit at His feet, Or we'll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, Where He sends we will go- Never fear, only trust and obey.

CHORUS: Trust and obey For there's no other way To be happy in Jesus But to trust and obey.

Today I do chose to Trust Him!!!

Abba Father, how rich is Mercy, how marvelous in Beauty, Praise and Glory to thee. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that she would "be still and know" that in whatever and wherever and whoever You can be trusted and in the trusting Your Peace which passes all understanding imbeds in her heart and mind and soul so deep that she boldly proclaims, "in my God I will trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey." In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Trusting and Still Trusting,
