Joshua 24:27 - Stone Be A Witness

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Joshua 24:27 - See!, he said to all the people. "This stone will be a witness against us. It has heard all the words the LORD has said to us. It will be a witness against you if you are untrue to your God."

In the reading of chapter 24 of Joshua this verse caught my attention and for this reason in particular - When I walk along Alii Drive on the weekends there is a special spot that when the waves crash on the rock wall and begin to recede back into the ocean the sound of the rocks tumbling catches my attention. The rocks seem to be talking. I always stop at the special spot to hear it over and over again.

The little things in life that bring to your mind about the Greatness of our LORD are moments to cherish. The LORD has gifted us with so much that it is very easy for us to forget or even take for granted but may it not be so with us. As with Joshua, may our ears be so attuned to the LORD's voice that we walk in Faith and no by sight.

Oh precious sisters-in-Christ, it is our childlike faith, which Joshua never lost that keeps us - only a man of GOD who had witnessed so much could tell his people that the stone heard every word and would be a witness. May you walk in childlike faith today and be still and rest in knowing that He has brought you thus far and He will never leave nor forsake.

Abba Father, giving thanks to the author and finisher of my faith. Praise and Glory and Honor to thee. LORD I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that her ears be opened to hear Your Voice beckoning her to be firmly planted upon the WORD that gives life and satisfies. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Meditating on the Word - Peace

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I pray that your week is filled with peace, yes that peace which passes all understanding. As we move into the season of Spring may you take a few moments to dwell upon the Word.

PEACE

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep for thou, Lord, only makes me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. Psalm 37:11, 37

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119:165

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, who mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. Isaiah 26:3,12

He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. Isaiah 57:2

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and fron our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:3

Abba Father, thank You, Praise You and as we dwell upon the meat of Your Word may we walk boldly before our fellow man and allow You to bring that perfect peace into their hearts. Sovereign Lord, Creator of all things we give you all the glory and the honor and the priase. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Making an Executive Decision - Joshua 9:14

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Chapter 9 verse 14 of Joshua, "And the men took of their victuals (provisions), and asked not COUNSEL at the mouth of the LORD."

At my work I sometimes have to make decisions when the boss is gone from the office - this is very hard for me for I have to take into consideration not only my own thoughts on the matter but more importantly just how my boss would have me tell them if he was consulted. After I have made the decision I always tell the person that I will confirm for sure after I have spoken to my boss. When my boss returns I tell him that I had to make an "executive decision", and ask if I did indeed make the right choice.

I know that this example pales in comparison to the verse quoted because we are told to seek the Lord. Balancing the seeking of the Lord and walking by Faith and waiting upon Him are three areas of my spiritual walk that I must constantly call upon Him for He is the Potter and I am the clay.

I dare not make an "executive decision" in my spiritual walk for I desire the BETTER that God has planned and purposed for my life. Keeping my eyes upon Jesus, leaning not on my own understanding, and surrendering each day my will is how I wish to live out my life today.

Abba Father, Glorious and Sovereign LORD, thank You for Your Spirit, thank You for Your faithfulness. LORD, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she would seek thee with all of her heart and her soul and her mind, oh Lord, may in the seeking of You, she hear Your Voice instructing her in the way that she should go. Lord may you richly bless each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today and the days ahead. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Genesis 1:2, 3

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Entering the hallway I could smell the rain and walking into the living room I then began to hear the sound of the raindrops. It is a gentle rain for now but do not know how long that will last before it begins to pour. So as I am posting I will enjoy this sound.

I don't know exactly why I enjoy the sound of water - I just do. It has a language of its own and the voice of water comforts me. Genesis 1:2), "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, 3)And God said ...

I enjoy taking little breaks on my weekend walks to stand under a palm tree at a couple of the beach access spots along the way and watch the ocean. Leaning against the palm tree I close my eyes and listen as the waves break upon the rocks. I close my eyes to listen because if I keep my eyes open I concentrate so much on how big the wave is and become fearful, when I close my eyes I'm able to listen.

Abba Father, Your Voice is like the sound of rushing waters, Praise to thee oh Lord, may each dear and precious sister-in-Christ hear Your Voice as You begin to speak into her life. May she close her eyes to the things of this world and open her ears to receive all that You are wanting to give to her. Lord, most Sovereign LORD Your Voice we long to hear, may we quiet our minds to listen. In Jesus Name, Amen.
