That Special Someone - Joshua 13:1

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Is there someone special in your life that each time you think of them your heart aches for their salvation? Through the years of being burdened with this person do you want to give up but only to begin again believing in a miracle?

I have several, but today I would like to share about one - my brother Michael. The middle child and of course every thing that is said or written about the middle child was true in his case. Growing up he was the one who would/could make me so mad that I would hurt myself and/or him during our battles, whether verbal or physical. Now don't get me wrong I loved him as equally as the other 3 brothers but still he seemed to be the one that needed to be bathed in prayer as I heard about his struggles and battles in life. Now comes the best part of the sharing... He was scheduled to have a colonoscopy, since most of them are routine, I was not that too concerned until I got the phone call. When he told me the news I began to cry and my knees began to buckle, but then the Lord stood me up and told me to begin to fight. At first I thought it was to ask for healing of the multiple stage 4 cancers which were eating away at his body. But a couple of days later the Lord told me it was not the healing of the physical but of the spiritual - on February 28, 2011 I had the privledge of praying the sinner's prayer with my brother, a few days after his diagnosis. Our relationship from that day until the day he passed, September 2, 2012, was the richest and sweetest and most precious. All my prayers were answered in the most amazing of ways.

Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I pray that there will be victory for you and for the person that you have been burdened with in prayer. Our God is faithful and His LOVE knows no bounds - may you once again come before the throne of Grace with that person on your mind and begin to ask for the impossible.

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee our most Sovereign LORD, the creator of all things, Hallelujah my LORD, thank You for Your most precious Promises and Your magnificent gifts and Your amazing Grace. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that above all else she would begin to take hold of that which has been burdening her heart and may she ask for the impossible which only You are able to fullfil in her life. May Your abundant blessings be evident in her life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Being Audacious

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I received a gift from my brother some years back - he had picked it up at one of his many garage sales. "Words of Life" by Charles L. Wallis, copyright 1966. The inside page reads, "A Religious and Inspiriational Album Containing 1100 Quotations from the Minds and Hearts of Writers of Twenty Centuries and Illustrated by Scenes of the Holy Land", as to why I picked this for today's post, only God will reveal in my posting.

I opened it and the section of Ideals with the following scripture, Phil. 4:8 "Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virture, and if there be any priase, think on those things." was where I stopped.

Of the various quotations I selected the following: AUDACIOUS YOUTH
Never tell a young person that something cannot be done. God may have been waiting for countless centuries for somebody ignorant enough of the impossibility to do that thing.

The dictionary defines, audacious as, 1) showing a willingness to take surprisingly BOLD risks and 2) showing an impudent lack of respect.

The title of this post is being audacious and my prayer for today -

Abba Father, Praise and Glory and Honor to thee. Lord just as You spoke to Joshua in ancient days past, may You speak to each dear and precious sister-in-Christ, "Be strong and of a good courage" and again, "Only be thou strong and very courageous, and once more, "only be strong and of a good courage." today and may she begin being audacious in her life. May she have a willingness to take surprisingly BOLD risks according to Your standards of Phil. 4:8. May she not show an impudent lack of respect for this is not something that the daughter of the King would do. LORD, bless each one this day and this week as they begin to live a life filled with the wonderfulness of You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

The LORD Stirred Up, Hath Given, and Had Raised

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Last night our visitor arrived, she has been coming every year for the last 13 years. She first started coming so that my husband and I could have some respite from taking care of his grandmother. After our grandmother passed away another reason was given that being she needed to celebrate her birthday in Hawaii. There have been many subtle changes in our lives over the last year and I'm praying that her visit with us will be a time of refreshing for her.

The title of my post comes from various verses in Ezra, the first, "the LORD stirred up" is found in Chapter 1, verse 1, the scene is being set, "the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation...", the second, verse 2, "The LORD God of heaven hath given me all..." and the third, verse 5, "...with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up...".

Oh most Sovereign LORD the subtle changes and/or abrupt changes in our lives may we remember that it is You who stirs up and has given and has raised. For in every circumstance You are LORD. May we witness Your Glory and Grace in every thing.

Abba Father,

As we come before Your throne of Grace may we welcome the changes in our lives because You alone direct our ways and know our thoughts and You alone are the one who stirs and gives and raises and when we wait upon You during times of uncertainty may be wait on thee. I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her heart be quickened this day and this week to see You in the midst of her changes. In Jesus Name, Amen.

And It Was Found

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

I have been overwhelmed with the amount of time and energy that it takes to concentrate on doing a task - for some reason 2015 began with a blast of unstoppable energy. On one of the talk shows last night they gave a computer generated picture of how fast a virus spreads. It gave me a perfect picture of that blast. A visual which really helps me to see and hopefully understand. And yet the Lord reminds me each day to draw unto Him and be Still.

In today's posting I was drawn to Esther 6:1-2, 1) "On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to ring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. 2)And it was found written, that Mordecai had told ..."

Dear ad precious sisters-in-Christ for all those things that you are seeking may it be found. May you not be overwhelmed but be strong and courageous for the Lord will bring it about. He is Faithful and He is Able.

Abba Father, may Your tender mercies which You are pouring forth this day in the lives of these precious sisters-in-Christ be revealed to them. Lord thank You for Your Faithfulness. Oh most Sovereign Lord how Precious is Your Word. In Jesus Name, Amen.
