Isaiah 55:17

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

Yesterday afternoon my husband, once again, had surgery for some problems he was having with bulging veins in his right leg. Because I had to work, it was arranged that my sister-in-law, who was arriving on island for a two week stay, to pick him up from the clinic. The length of the surgery was longer than anticipated so I was able to join my sister-in-law in the waiting room while they finished stitching him up. I had been anxious most of the afternoon, but my sister-in-law assured me that the nurses had repeatedly come out and talked to her about the progression of the surgery.

Since it had been all arranged earlier that his sister was picking him up, the look of surprize on his face when he walked out into the waiting room and saw me standing there was priceless. He approached me and took my hand and gave me a kiss. All my anxiety left me.

So now we come to the verse referenced in the title: Isaiah 55:17 - "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

My anxiety over his operation and the not being their initially and the previously experienced situations that have arisen caused me great concern. But when he took my hand and kissed me I knew that once again the LORD had answered the deep cries of my heart.

How great is our God, Abba Father, thank you for this precious promise. I pray for each dear sister-in-Christ today that she would be an asker and seeker and a knocker. Oh most precious LORD, may Your Spirit fall fresh on them today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 2:5-10

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

1 Corinthians 2:5-10 "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (6) Howbeit we speak wisdom amog them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: (7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory; (8) Which none of the princes of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (9) But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him" (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the dee things of God.

Just 5 little verses set among so many in chapters and verses in 1 Corinthians but if you allow these simple truths to go deep into your mind, you will be forever changed. The changes will probably never be apparent to you but trust me they will be apparent to the world around you. That world where God has placed you to grow and prosper and to reach that one special person whom God has allowed to come into your life.

Dear and Precious sisters-in-Christ my prayer for all of you today is "that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the POWER of GOD.
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Blessings Upon You Today

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ,

This being the month of February where traditionally Valentine's Day, the day to show your love, is celebrated I thought I would post a blessing upon all of you.

The blessing is found in Colossians 1:9-13 Might I suggest that it be read out loud so that as you read it your eyes will see the words but more importantly your ears will hear.

"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding: That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgivness of sins"

Gracious sisters-in-Christ, our Abba Father is so wonderful and tender and faithful, may the blessings flow forth today in your lives. In Jesus Name, Amen.
