Leaving It In The Lord's Hands - John 6:68

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Last night's reading from my devotional, "Daily Light" by Bagster/Lotz, John 6:68, "I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." This verse is now one of my path stones of walking in Faith. There are situations in my life that unless I say to the enemy, "it is written" am I able to be at peace with myself and TRUST and BE STILL. Three situations came up on Monday that overwhelmed me to the point of exhaustion and knew I had to take a step back in order to understand how my LORD wanted me to walk in faith. Each of the three situations were very unsettling and it was then that I realized I could take each situation back again or not. Well last night the LORD said, it is written... As I read these words I knew that the LORD had answered my cries and prayers that I had mentally been offering up to Him. O Lord how rich in mercy and lovingkindness and faithfulness You are towards Your beloved children. Yes, not only are you dear and precious but You are also "beloved". Our LORD is greater and in control at all times and also the LORD of time. His timing and His Will are the two important actions that I have to pray about all the time. But when I do, the blessings received are so bountiful and so much more than this human mind can grasp. Let us pray - Abba Father, All praise and glory to Your Name, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ today that she Trust in Your Will and Your Timing in each situation that overwhelms her to the point of exhaustion and that she boldly proclaim, "It is Written..." and rest in Your lovingkindness and faithfulness towards her and all the things she has committed to You. In Jesus Name, Amen. Leaving it in His hands,

Each Day Is Precious

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Each day is a precious day and if you consider it to be precious then... . I had a thought and wrote it down as the lead into this post. We had two wonderful visits this week. Monday we had some friends that we have known for 30 years and getting together was so hard due to distance between us and time issues. But in September they made the call asking if we were up for a visit and of course we said, "Yes, we'd love to see you guys." So finally after so many years of not seeing each other face to face what a happy and joyous occasion for the four of us. The next day my husband had a doctor's appointment in another city in the morning and we had enough time after the visit to stop by our son's house who lives not very far from here. It had been a few months since we had actually visited him at his house and he showed off all of the house renovations he had done and still finishing up. The visit was marvelous because we got to see all the things he has been working on and also he shared about what was going on in his life. Family and friends and the special bonds that are created. It was a time of fellowshipping! It was a time of sharing! Both visits were uplifting and encouraging because of the love that we have for each other and even when we do not understand some of the different situations or circumstances that occur in all our lives we still can be compassionate and also feel comfortable in talking about our lives' ups and downs. At the end of each visit there were hugs galore (we give hugs) and also it solidified our friendship even more. Let us pray - Abba Father, Creator and Sovereign LORD. We come before Your throne of Grace and humbly ask and in the asking we know that You hear our prayers and that You listen to our prayers. Lord, I pray for our families and our friends. May each dear and precious sister-in-Christ trust in Your faithfulness and lovingkindness and know that each day is precious, may her encounters and her visits and her interactions be pleasing in Your sight. Lord, bless each one with a joyous day. In Jesus Name, Amen. This is the day the Lord has made,

The Usefulness of Proverbs

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Our son visited us yesterday and even though we only live a few miles away it is so very hard to carve out a couple of hours of your life to be able to just sit down and communicate all the hustle and bustle of our lives. We, the parents, are retired so our busy lifestyle is somewhat sedate (we like it that way). His is, of course, is making a living, taking care of wife and children and also living life to the fullest which we did at his age. As we listened to the happenings in his life which are expected with being married and being the husband and dad of the family. It was so wonderful to be able to just sit and listen and share and no action on our part to make decisions or suggestions but to enjoy each other's company and try to be a part of their struggles and worries and let them know they are valued and important and we are loving him no matter what. This morning, upon opening scripture, Proverbs 1:1-7, seemed like a wonderful place to read and meditate with you. "The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction; to discern the sayings of understanding. to receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice and equity; to give prudence to the naive, to the youth knowledge and discretion, A wise man will hear and increase in learning. And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel, To understand a proverb and a figure, The words of the wise and their riddles, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." How are these two related? My son's life is filled with situations that can be devastating if the wrong words or actions are used, as with all adults who are in the position of being a person in authority. Someone who is looked up to for guidance and direction and more importantly giving LOVE and HOPE. And as a mother and grandmother my concerns for my children and grandchildren are a reminder that every day I must pray. Prayer is so vital! When reading God's words and meditating on what is written and how it applies to the reality of living verse 7 seems so precious - "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" Let us pray - Abba Father, LORD of ALL goodness and faithfulness and lovingkindness. Praise to Thee! Lord, I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that her day begins with You and throughout her day may Your guidance and direction be sure. May Your Presence be evident and as she asks with an open heart that You fill it with a thirst to know wisdom and instruction in the details of her life. Lord, equip her for this day to be able to draw her strength from on high and give an answer as to why she trusts in You. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings and may He pour into your lives richly,

Lining Up My Truth with God's Truth

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I have friends and family who are in the direct path of Milton. I say this because this morning I would like to pray for those who are living in the path of Milton. Abba Father, Holy and Righteous LORD, I pray for Your Protection over those who are being threatened by this storm. I pray for Your Provision for those who are trying to prepare for Milton as it approaches. I pray for Your Peace to overwhelm all the troubled and frenzied people. Lord, You are Sovereign and may You hear the prayers of Your children rising up and act on their behalf. In Jesus Name, Amen. Also I would like to share with you the prayer that I prayed on 5/14/07. I wrote it on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope and occasionally I find it, as I did today. "Heavenly Father, Abba Father, this time this date You have ordained that I make a binding agreement - the rules have been established - Holy Spirit come with groanings to the Lord with what I should bind unto thee. I will live in Your Truth - Your word oh most Sovereign Lord. Lord may I continually bring to You my truth. Oh, Lord my eyes to see Your Truth. Lord may my heart and my mind and my body be open to Your Truth. As I read and memorize Your Word may I ask, seek, and knock. May I continually line up my truth with Your Truth being rooted and established in Your Love. In Jesus Name, Amen." On the outside of the envelope I wrote, "This is my binding agreement with the Lord on this day 5/14/07." There are several dates on the letter and the envelope where I have read this prayer and today's date will be written as well. The most recent one was on 9/7/24 as I was recovering from COVID. These three verses are my references to why I ask and seek and knock for HIS truth - Psalm 119:160, "The sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting." John 1:14, "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." and John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." Let us pray - Abba Father, Gracious and Glorious and Mighty art thou. Thank You O Lord that we can come to You continually and constantly in worship and praises and supplications and prayers with thanksgiving. Lord, I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ be richly blessed always and in all ways. May she be filled with Your Peace and Joy and Hope and Love to persevere through the fiercest of storms and know that You are God. In Jesus Name, Amen. Praying for His Goodness to Prevail,

October the Month of Orange

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, Welcome to the month of October where the mums and pumpkins and changes in the leaves of the trees. The brilliant colors of reds, yellows, oranges and even assorted blends of colors begin to appear. Driving along the freeways you are greeted with so many colors that it is literally breathtaking. This being my second fall here in the eastern part of the country is so beautiful. I really didn't appreciate it last year because so much was going on with us moving here and the uncertainty of just how life was going to play out. Well..., God has so richly blessed us over these past 12 months that when I thank Him and praise Him the brilliance of Him alone it is literally breathtaking. As I look out my study window and see the sun rays sparkling on the dew of the grass and listen to the stillness of the morning how can I not continually thank Him and praise Him for loving me and providing for me and keeping me from harm and blessing me. What a faithful God we have ALL the time. Let us pray - Abba Father, thank You for Your Glorious Presence in my life and in the lives of each dear and precious sisters-in-Christ. I pray these words of truth over them today, "may you Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18) In Jesus Name, Amen. May His blessings be evident,
