O LORD God Gracious and Mighty

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, For some reason this past birthday I came to the realization that I am getting older. Now while I was contemplating this fact some thoughts ran through my head. How is it that it is this birthday that I have come to this conclusion? Why do I feel older today? And since I have been told many times that the answers to your questions are found in the bible, so searching I went. And guess what - there were five! Psalm 92:13-14, Proverbs 19:20, Isaiah 46:4, Psalm 16:11 and Psalm 71:18. All of them were choice nuggets for me to gnaw on and to bring me the sustenance that I needed to relieve of my fears and doubts, but the one I took hold of was Isaiah 46:4, "Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you." Yes, our LORD God is gracious and mighty. I am not ready to slow down and thankfully I am still limber and steady enough that the things I enjoy - walking and gardening - are possible. But I also know that many are no longer able to do the things that brought pleasure to them, so don't fret because these following verses may apply to your walk of faith. Psalm 16:11, You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." and Psalm 71:18, "...when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come." Dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, you all are His Beloved and treasured by Him. You are valuable and worthy in His eyes, and He will keep you and embrace you and nourish you forever and ever. In Jesus Name, Amen. Soaked in His gracious and mighty Love,
LyndiaSue
