Stepping Into The Year 2025

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, How lovely that I get to spend my first day of the year with all of you. The coming of 2025 was like waiting for your first baby to be born. You know it is going to happen and you even have times of excitement knowing that you are to soon be a mother and at the same time knowing that becoming a mom is a very scary thing. One reason is that you haven't ever experienced anything like this. Yes, you have read the books and talked to family and friends but still this is going to be something that only you will be experiencing. So stepping into the year 2025 is something like that for me. This is the first day, your child has been born, the nurse comes in and hands you your child. What a gift you have just been given! As it begins to stir in your arms and as you look down on your child the joy that your heart has overwhelms you and with that comes a love that you have never known or experienced before. Today is the first day of 2025 and what a gift I have been given. A new day to experience and witness and live out. A new day of challenges and decisions and distractions and yet... Yes, there is a yet, we as believers have the greatest gift included in this new day and the subsequent 364 days following. We have the Lord who has promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our constant. He provides and gives and guides and fills us up with Himself. Unlike your child whose needs have to be taken care of and his every comfort comes from you, the Lord provides us with all our needs, His love is unconditional, and His mercies are forever tender. This year of 2025 is from Him and He knows what is to come each and every day. And He has also said that this is the day that I have made, rejoice and be glad in it. Let us pray - it is written, "Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed by Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." (Matt. 6:9-13). Happy New Year my dear and precious sisters-in-Christ. And may each day be as it is written. In Jesus Name, Amen. Opening my gift,
LyndiaSue
